Took my mom to a kosher market near here and asked the proprietor for a recommendation for some good felafel. He sent us here, and it was great! Super fresh and delicious. The complimentary pickled veggies were good too. If you want a really good, fresh felafel sandwich some here and get it. You won’t be disappointed.(Nothing fancy though, order and pay at the counter and they bring it to you.)

Parking is a pain, but I think this is my favorite shawarma place so far! The Laffah bread there is fantastic. Soft and fluffy and always tastes super fresh. The meats and veggies are tasty and wait for it… french fries inside the wrap! My co worker swears by this place and I agree. It is so good! the bf got the shawarma pita and he said it was really good too. Worth checking out and driving across town for. I wish they were a little closer, but it’s fine. I know where to go when I’m craving shawarma! Also, it’s really big so I was able to eat half and still had plenty for lunch the next day. Not as great reheated, but way too much to eat all at once. Also, the guy at the register who took our order and payment was really nice!

Food is very good But very large discrepancies on the menu On the wall they write everything as one price and on the menu on the bottom they have it for slightly more expensive Which I find to be very disgusting If you want to change your pricing change it all or honor whatever is on the wall The servers in the restaurant have a disgusting attitude And so does the owner demanding for me to remove my Unilocal review I stand by mine that the place needs to up its game and have better service

Super expensive for poor quality food. The stuff is rude and got my order completely wrong. There are many other kosher places with better shawarma, don’t waste your time or money here. I will applaud the picture of the«side of fries», check it out it’s laughable!

WOW! Blown away by the quality of food and the service. It really doesn’t look like the type of place where you would get an employee to come out from behind the counter and refill your drink or see if you need anything every few minutes, but in reality it is exactly that! I thought the food was DELICIOUS! i even posted a picture of myself eating a shawarma Lafah on my Facebook page. I highly recommend trying this place out!

I have been nagila customer for a long long time but I must say these people are spoil and they really do not care about their loyal client. For the past three or four times that I went there I was unhappy with the man who is behind the register and he has been working there for a long time but his attitude is horrible… If you ask him for an extra bun or ask him if it is possible to make ur burger with bugget u got to see his reaction. All he knows is No. No. No I won’t go there unless there is not any other kosher food around that I believe are. Their food is average and the size of food keeps getting smaller.

Their Laffa wrap is real f-ing good. It tasted exactly like something I’d find in Israel, including the fries wrapped right in the sandwich. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is because it’s just slightly overpriced for a shwarma place.

I love the food here. The kabob burger especially is amazing. I also love the shawarma you can’t go wrong with either one. Parking can be tough to find sometimes which could create a problem. Otherwise it’s a great place to stop and have a quick bite to eat. They also have an outside patio which is pretty cool. I definitely recommend this place.

Good albeit overpriced food. The reason I am rating Nagila Meat Section only 1 star is because the girls who work there are RUDE… RUDE… RUDE! Generally rude with a bad attitude spanning a number of visits. My most recent interaction with one of these women involved me asking for a plate of dipping sauces including tzchug and fry sauce identical to the plate which she had just brought out for my friend — I asked for the same EXACT thing, yet my sauces came in tiny, single serving containers while my friend had gotten his in appropriate dipping sized containers. When I asked her to bring me the same size that she had brought my friend, she rolled her eyes, waddled and stomped off. Minutes later the manager came out, and tried to justify the small container. I made it very simple for him telling him not to worry, that I simply wouldn’t return. I don’t need to pay $ 15 for a plate of bad attitude and lame excuses. Not in LA with literally tens of thousands of places to eat. I can’t wait for a new shawarma place to open up in PR that will permanently close this place down. In the meantime I will go to the valley to get my shawarma, it is more competitively priced and more authentic to boot.

The food is okay– ish, not much to write home about. Overpriced for what it is. The schwarma is good, the fries come limp and half done, kids meals come late and scaldingly hot. Adult meals come piecemeal, a schwarma plate, and then laffa bread 10 minutes and two requests later after the foods gotten cold. The soup is good, but despite being made ahead of time, comes out with your entrées. I was surprised at this deplorable service since there was only one other table seated and they had already been served. Even still– with a staff of 8, and only two tables the service can only be described as abusive and passive aggressive. We asked for our drink(a third time) and the server wandered into the empty courtyard to bus a long empty table. The small space filled up with smoke more than once, the server at the counter decided she didn’t want to fill our to go order of soup(already made) so we stood around indefinitely until the manager filled it at which point she announced she had no intention of filling it. An all around abusive dinning experience. I wish I stayed at home and ate sand instead. If I could give the meating place fewer stars I would. It really comes down to the foulness of the two server ‘girls’ who are way past rude on their way to nasty. Elat burger on the other side of Pico makes all the same food– made tasty to order, with better service, no hostile attitude, and easy parking.

Omg I love this place! I always get the chicken teriyaki on the burger bun. Best kosher meat place on earth. I recommend this place to all kosher meat eaters!

I found the food to lack any flavors. The hummus was below average. The shawarma was dry and lacked any flavor. I don’t get the hype. I certainly won’t be back. There are way better options in west LA.

I am giving them 5 stars for the chicken shawarma laffa wrap. The bread by itself tastes delicious. The employees are nice and remember you after you visit a few times. This has been my family’s go to shawarma place when we’re in the area. Prices are reasonable. Must try!

I will begin my review by stating that my first experience here was ONE star, but since i do not have the heart to give a kosher restaurant less than three, the owners should take this review as constructive criticism. The food and presentation is cafeteria quality. I ordered a Chinese chicken salad and it was below average. The falafel was embarrassing and even worse, the pita bread, yet The prices are premium fast food kosher. You guys need to spend some money and remodel your place and make a new menu. Take some pictures of the food so it actually looks appetizing. You guys would be out of business within 30 days if a place like Taeem opened up on the same block. I was very disappointed and with all the kosher options on Pico, there is no reason to go back. If you guys don’t wake up, you guys will be a distant memory.

BARNONETHEBESTCHICKENSHAWARMAEVER! its amazing and sad that i only discovered it recently. for more than a half decade we’ve been going to Nagila Pizza & Salads, and maybe once we thought of trying their meat area but the falafel and pizza kept calling to us evertime we went. some will say well you can get falafel at the meating place but we order ours ½ falafel with just lettuce and the tahini on the side and i don’t think the M.P. can make that. the wife still got her falafel and pizza, while i decided to go rogue and get the shawarma. honestly i got it to just check it off my chicken shawarma list and i wasn’t expecting much, but what made it the best shawarma ever was a handful of things. first the shawarma: i’ve had kosher chicken shawarma at ta-eem(melrose) super sals(encino), and each one was great different. nagila wasn’t overly or under seasoned, it was sliced chunky which i like, some parts was crusty cause it was spinning awhile. between the three i would take nagila all day, and taeem and sals would be a toss up. second the laffa: it was baked in house in their taboon/tandoor oven. you can feel it, see it and you can certainly taste it. these little things baking in house versus grabbing a lafa out of a bag helps out a lot. the laffa was chewey, hot and charry in flavor. i showed it to the wife and she said«i wonder if they can put their falafel in that?». i’m sure they could even if its not on the menu. third the fillings: its the way i like it, just israeli salad and their most amazing tahini in the world. he asked if i wanted fries and i said no but i may try it next. nagila israeli salad is good but their tahini is ungodly the best ever. also don’t forget to ask for the green hot sauce(shug/chutney). take all of what i said, wrap it, and what you get is,… Theee Bessstt Chicken Shawarma Ever!!!

Pretty freakin’ delicious and it’s Kosher. We stopped here late one night and had world class shawarma and falafel. Great alternative to typical junk food and fun to watch the neighborhood celebrate the beginnings of the week.

Despite the kitschy name and sign, Nagila Meating Place isn’t fooling around. There is some seriously good food here, and I’ve only tried one thing, the shawarma on pita. Flavorfully packed with the chicken/lamb meat, then slathered in hummous and a cucumber-y salad it’s great. But add to that, a beautiful side plate of intensifiers which, at first, I thought, why? But then I tasted, and went instantly to the land of Love. I particularly enjoyed Harif, which is the little green paste like substance that comes in a plastic container. You like cilantro, jalapeño and more? Well, step right up. I’d never heard of it, yet it tasted vaguely familiar — but with the spicy quotient raised to ‘Uncompromising,’ it was in a league of its own. To have such detail in their salad to go with their already well-presented shawarma, I had to say, Thanks and See ya soon. My diet might argue with me a bit, but that’s a fight I’m willing to take on! Families and solo people trickle in to their well-lit establishment. It seems to have a good steady traffic stream, which no doubt helps to keep things fresh.

This is the stepchild of the two Nagila shops, side by side. The ugly sister. The slobbering little brother, so to speak. Casual, and nothing more than what would be a hamburger stand, is serving some of the best falafel, shawarma, kabob, and the like. I got the Shawarma on Pita. Full of meat(chicken and lamb), with a handful of diced cucumber, and tahini. Served on the side, a garlic sauce and a green hot sauce(yummy). Can I say it was good? It was damn good! Doing the hava nagila dance! Limited hours on Friday, so be mindful of their hours — it varies.
