Los Angeles Biergarten

Terrible service, they know it and they don’t care. Too bad because this place has potential. Plenty of good beers on tap, lots of space for large parties, unfortunately I don’t know about the food because our order never came. After 30 minutes of sitting at the bar with our drinks, we decided to leave. The bar service was also very slow and indifferent. This place just doesn’t care if you’re there or not. They have their own schedule and they don’t care how long you have to wait.

To preface — the server was very good, but generally, total shitshow. It took nearly 2 hours to get food because they accidentally served our order to the wrong table. Orders trickled out thorough out the night though two people in our party never received their order. One of the «samplers» came out with uncooked (or at least severely undercooked) chicken. The food quality of that which was served was merely mediocre.
Beer selection was good, though be warned that the house beer was weak and overall rather poor. We also ordered a coupe shots (we were there for someone’s birthday), and I’m reasonably confident they did not contain any alcohol.
Server was very polite and worked her best to remedy our concerns as we raised them, but it was also clear that she lacked the authority to effect a meaningful solution. To be fair, the manager did take all of the food — even that which was served — off our check, but even the meager amount we ended up being charged was unreasonably high in view of the circumstances we endured.
Bottom line: don’t bother. Until the management of this establishment puts some resources into learning how to effectively run a restaurant, this place is unlikely to be worth it.
1÷31÷16 Update following the Owner’s Response: It is true that the «Night on Broadway» street festival, part of the ten-​year «Bringing Back Broadway» initiative (now in its eighth year), was underway during our visit. As the event had been planned for many months and was well publicized, the business knew or should have known to expect above-​average demand for which the business should have prepared. It didn’t.
No matter how busy the establishment is, however, there is little excuse for serving uncooked chicken following a nearly-​two-​hour wait, especially in view of the fact that the chicken, just like the rest of the food served at the restaurant, very likely rolled off the back of a Sysco truck just a few hours prior.

Beef sliders are delish! My small group really enjoyed the energy and happy vibe here. Prices are reasonable and the food came in good portions.

Nice chill location. Great place to relax, grab a drink and watch a game. Surprisingly huge location for DTLA, so you can join the crowd or hangout more privately. Great food and huge selection of beers. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

This is a great sports bar in DTLA with tons of beers on tap. They’ve organized the beers by flavors, so it’s easy to try new brands. The TVs are also brand new.

This place is ok. Bartenders are friendly enough. Haven’t been here while I was hungry though, so I can’t speak for the food, but it’s always so dead! I’m not sure what kind of marketing they are doing, but it’s a great location and nothing seems to do well there. I hope they stick around because they have a great selection of beers!

The staff is so freaking awesome, kinda wish the owner would bring the staff from downey brewing co. So they could observe and learn a thing or two about customer service from them. Anyways, the most awesome craft beer selection, period.

Were here for the Aldo/​mcGregor fight. Lots of people. The burger were really good ($ 12). Fries ok, not homemade. Everything served on paper though… Onion rings not great. Good food for a sports bar though. Boot beers (28oz, $ 7,5) served in plastic cups.
Very nice selection of beers. Good service! Annoying manager that insisted on having the doors open even though it was sooo cold. We asked several times but he just didnt do it.
The service at the table were extremely good. We got complimentary basket of onion rings for no reason :) thank you great dutch waiter!

This is my second time here, and I can safely say I love this place. Mind you, I don’t like going out to the typical bar scene, but this is quite a relaxing place even on a Saturday night.
The food is EXCELLENT! I came with a group of foodies, and we all loved the food on the Sampler plate. The wing sauce was a perfect unique BBQ, the sliders had great quality meat and toasty ass buns, mozzarella sticks were great and didn’t taste like the frozen kind, the chicken tenders had crisp thick breading, and the onion rings were huge. Absolutely no complaints about the food.
The waitress serving us was super helpful with her recommendations, and our drinks were great. The house beers were really good and only $ 5. With 100 beers on tap you’ll definitely find something you’ll like, and they even encourage you to sample beers!

Piss poor contract brewed beer. One of the very few times I have not finished a beer. The food looked good but that’s not why we were here.

I was hoping they would do more with it after they bought it. It’s a pretty cool space, but it needs some more TLC. They still have some of the equipment just sitting around from when Bar Rescue did a makeover. The beer was good though.

This place is great! How could you go wrong with so many beers on tap! My wife got the Biergarten Blonde (brewed exclusively for LA Biergarten) and it was delicious! I sampled a few different beers before finally settling down with my choice. We ordered the pretzel and it was great!
Our bartender’s name was Braeden and he was outstanding! Super attentive and friendly and really knew his beers! If you get Braeden as your as bartender, you’re in good hands!!!
Overall, def 5 out of 5 stars!

100 beers on tap!
I started from the left and am working my way down. I also tried the house stout which was almost like having an espresso. Very dark and chocolaty.
It’s nice to finally have a bar with a lot of room downtown. There’s like 20 tvs with differ games on.
The sliders were really good as well.

Here again. Last visit was less than optimal. Today, quite different. Prompt service, understanding bartenders who speak English instead of German.
The hefewizen mild, a good choice for those who do not wish to become blotto drunk.
Many beers on tap.

This is a new place so it was kind of empty but I see them doing much better than the previous restaurant. Our waitress Ashley was really nice and made a good suggestion to get the chicken salad. It was a generous portion and was delicious. Nice extra long bar, good selection of beer.

Heard about a new place that opened downtown so my friends and I decided to check it and celebrate our friend’s birthday there, and we were definitively not disappointed.
The beer selection is absolutely phenomenal, over 80 beers all on tap, wow, so many options, luckily you can try out a few samples. We each had a couple of different beers, every single one delicious, the staff was super friendly and helpful as well. Our server, Jessica, made sure we were all taken care off the whole night. Whenever we were ready for a new round or needed something, she was right on it. Excellent service.
Since they just opened their food menu isn’t completely done. We ordered a sampler with all different types of appetizers (those mozzarella sticks will be the end of me: D)
We live all the way on the westside but we definitely will be coming back, awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, good food, amazing selection, cheap prices, whats not to love! Highly recommend this place :)

I just can’t get over how great this place is. Braden is the sweetest bartender! Everyone is so welcoming and the staff is all so helpful. I highly recommend this place.
