Johnny Rockets

Could be Better, if the servers paid more attention to the customer… As it was my first time.

This was our first time visiting a Johnny Rockets location. The décor and music was awesome! We received quick and friendly service from our waiter. He made small talk with us as we told him we were from out of town. The food was great. We highly recommend the chili cheese fries! It got pretty busy while we there but I feel like our food, refills for drinks, and the delivery of our ticket was all brought out in a timely manner.

They didn’t have enough tables had to wait to be seated. The young lady I believe her name is Nancy was very nice, helpful and attentive to all her customers. The manager which I think (was wearing blue and named angel??) Looked really upset or mad not very helpful was like «slamming» menus on the table. Fast service got our food in a timely manner. Thought this place was going to be better but it was OK had better. Just make sure you order fries as they don’t come included in the meal.

Luis the manager is a horrible example of customer service! Upon being seated I asked Luis about an item being featured upon entering this establishment. He simply walked away.
Upon this interaction I proposed to my girlfriend that we take to go. Even this simple task they must have found difficult. We were given our hot food first then Luis proceeded to take 8 minutes to make the shake. At the 6 min. mark I asked one of the servers for a refund on the shake because our food was getting cold while waiting. Then we were told it was coming.
No wonder Jonny Rockets are going out of business left and right.
This use to be one of my favorite guilty pleasures. Glad there are more options now.

I love Johnny Rockets but I’m never coming back to this location. Completely disorganized and understaffed, and the manager is completely rude. We waited 10 min for menus. 15 min for water. Don’t even ask about our drink orders. The manager was unreceptive to any feedback. Instead he blamed one of his tardy waitresses. Don’t come here. Awful service.

It’s without a doubt my favourite american fast food. Why?
Firstly, I love their ‘typical american dinner’ décor — high counter, red sofas and chairs and jukebox on every table. Secondly, their food is great! Rocket Single and Bacon Cheddar Single were absolutely yummy! The same can be said about American Fries and Sweet Potato Fries. While we were there they also had a cool avocado offer (adding some avocado slices to the burger of your choice). But the best part of the meal was Oreo Shake. It was crazy good and not as sweet as you imagine. The service at this location was great but the dining area was really small. They should add some space if possible.
Because of all that I was really happy when I recently read an interesting article about their expansion to Poland in the near future. Can’t wait :)!

Customer Service is Excellent!
The food is what you’d expect if you stepped in to another Johnny Rockets in say Las Vegas, Trinidad & Tobago or Santa Monica etc. Burgers, dogs, fries, shakes and an 80’s attempt to resurrect the 1950’s.
This JR is a bit much on the «too cozy» side for me. That is that its a limited on space for dining. And if you feel like conversing with your group, you’re going to have to speak up cause its kinda loud in here.
FOOD:
I had the grilled chicken club sandwich with a side of onion rings which was frick’n excellent! Recommended if you’re not feeling red meat.
If I were to stop here, this review would frame this Johnny Rockets as only a «JUST OKAY 3 STAR» place to get a quick bite and stare at traffic for about an hours worth of entertainment.
But here is what makes this one stand out…
We came here to eat because there is no longer a selection or connivence of a food court at the Beverly Center! Just a lounge and some coffee/​juice kiosks. The out door anchored restaurants like CPK & Cheesecake Factory packed up and left long ago. So by default Johnny Rockets along with some other eateries across the street wins my business because the Beverly Center offers nothing. And again, the customer service is great! The manager personally welcomes you and hustles to make you feel right at home.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Good luck finding parking around here. its a tight squeeze in this part of LA. On the bright side there is bicycle parking by the front door.
I say do stop by if happen to be in the area and in need of a burger or hotdog. At the very least you’ll be treated nicely.

Worst Johnny Rockets I’ve ever been to! And I’ve been to a lot. It’s grungy and the staff sucks. It’s dirty!

$ 20 only got me a burger, chili cheese fries, and a chocolate shake. The staff was nice and even gave me a discount but their burger had no flavor. Definitely not worth $ 20. I won’t be back. Their chili cheese fries were bland as well. The only thing that tasted good from them was their chocolate Hershey shake.

This place didn’t blow my mind or anything. I was really hungry and craving a hot dog, and luckily this place was across the street. I had never been, so my girlfriend and I head over and I put in my order. The employees were quick to get me a menu but otherwise seemed like they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I ordered a coke with a shot of vanilla and got a coke and a vanilla shake. They quickly fixed my order, no big deal. The hot dog was good, I liked the thick bread they use for the bun. Nothin’ fancy but hit the spot. Place was fairly clean, staff was friendly, food wasn’t bad… I’d go back but wouldn’t go out of my way.

if you ever order a milkshake and they give you too much and you are worried that you can not finish it please do not hesitate to reach out to me because i work in the area and we can try to coordinate for me to come help you finish whatever you have left over actually this also applies to food and is not limited to johnny rockets because i do not believe in wasting food and i definitely believe in free food so if you are willing to give me your leftovers i am willing to eat them and then you can feel good about giving to those who are less fortunate
i do not like the milkshakes at johnny rockets because they have too much ice inside and then after that there is too much milk so it is like you are drinking a milk slushie and by the way there is also chocolate which is not fun because i want them to put too much chocolate and then maybe a balance of milk and ice hopefully in some sort of ice cream form but as long as there is chocolate then i will be happy
the french fries are chewy like little shoelaces but the chili is really good so maybe if you want fries you should get chili on top and then it will be like eating chili shoelaces which honestly could be a lot worse
here is a list of things that would be worse than that:
french fry shoelaces without chili
french fry shoelaces with a little bit of chili but not enough
french fry shoelaces with cheese but no chili so they would be cheese french fry shoelaces
french fries that are big and chunky like sneakers so probably just potatoes that are fried
actual sneakers that are fried but with chili
there are other things i am sure those are just a few examples but you may send me a message and i will give you a longer list
the bathrooms are very nice but you can not eat in there

If I can rate it 2.5 I will give it a 2.5 stars for this place. Could be much better if the chicken breast in the sandwich was not so hard. Far from being good. May not visit again

I don’t know why other Johnny Rockets way better than this one

I would love to write a review for this place but despite it being 9:35 they turned us away because they were closing at 10:00. I get the idea of starting to close up but what’s the point of posting your hours if you don’t honor them?

Burgers are really good and ambience is fun but this place is way tiny.
Staff is great though.

Came here to eat lunch because we were in the mood for some burgers and were in the plaza. I got the chicken club ($ 8) with cheese ($ 1.29) and the bf got a Houston burger ($ 8). We also got a side of sweet potato fried and onion Rings ($ 4.29). Normally, I don’t like sweet potato fries but these were REALLY good! They were fried to a perfect crisp. Onion rings were normal. My sandwich was okay, it was nothing special. Adding cheese was a kind of over priced. The staff is friendly and quick service, we were in and out in 20 minutes!

Shake it up! Visit JR’s and you must slurp down their shakes! I, for one, love cookies n cream so yes, that’s what I HAD to have during my recent visit. For what you get, it’s worth every dime!
Had the bacon/​swiss burger that’s like any burger. Fries weren’t all that special and they are extra $.
JR’s has a following for different reasons I’m sure. But for me, the shakes always fill make me happy.
Parking is limited to the attached structure that goes for $ 2/​hr so that might steer you away to another location. But, pick up and go like many others do and you can still enjoy their yummy shakes!

Johhny Rockets is a Great place to get a Cherry Coke and some Chili-​Cheese Fries.
The service today was up and down, but making the effort at the right times.
The burgers have gone WAY down hill. Used to be a ball of meat smashed on the flattop til crusty. Now, pre-​made patties and a little less Flava. The tuna salad sandwich looked fresh.
