Jack Rutberg Fine Arts

I love the high caliber of artists Jack Rutberg exhibits. I have seen a few shows now, Jordi Alcarez’s was really an amazing show and then Collage/​Assemblage really inspired me to see Joseph Cornell and Hans Burkhardt and Patrick Graham some of my favorites. I love mixed media works and collage. I am an artist and admire great artists.
Jack shared with me how he captures the audience and curates a show:
* Always have a concept, a cohesive vision that invites the viewer into the space. Have an eye out for interesting ways to use scale, depth and architecture.
* Create an immediate level of intimacy and build. Make sure the first work of art one sees starts strong, win their respect on day one…
* Jack is in awe of the artists and chooses to honor them.
* He makes a distinction between great craftsmen and artists.
* Create a certain vision for the whole exhibit.
I appreciate Jack taking the time to share his wisdom and experience.

I went to check out Jordi Alcarez’s Translucido show. Really amazing work. I’ve been to this gallery a couple of times and like any gallery, it’s hit or miss for me.
