Horrible service, Rene is never on time, and always late. He ended up trying to deliver meat to me in the back seat of his car from a cooler, days later than promised. Not only that, he has since been bothering me via text to tell me that the new place I shop at( ) is expensive. Extremely immature and unprofessional.

You would probably think twice trusting food off the back of a truck. I mean, it’s sort of like getting into a white van that has«free candy» written on the side. But when it comes to not only trusting, but enjoying the cheese off this truck there’s no second guessing it. I have to say this cheese slinger has not let me down at all in how amazing the selection as well as the taste is. You can find him at most farmer’s markets. I generally see him on La Cienega and every now and then at a couple of other farmer markets I frequent. One of my favorites to get from him is the buffalo mozzarella. It’s an amazing cheese and goes with a variety of dishes. The inventory ranges depending on what he has or what’s in season and what not, but you can never go wrong with at least a couple of things on the back of his truck. The last time I saw him he had some Chimay cheese that, well, let’s just say it made one hell of a grilled cheese. He also sells a lot of meats that make this novice Charcuterie extremely jealous. He’s got some wild boar salami that is amazing to try. While the prices may not be the cheapest, you are paying for the quality in ingredients and with the amount of service and care he puts into making sure you leave happy, it’s well worth it.

Excellent vendor! I am a regular customer of his at the Saturday Calabasas Farmers Market. Along with a great cheeses and natural meat products he sells wonderful, 100% grass-fed beef at very competitive prices. This kind of meat costs more than the one coming from your local supermarket or course. But beef from grazing cattle is so much healthier, tastier and more environmentally friendly than the one being produced in cruel industrial factory farms. A highly recommendable treat!

This guy is amazing! Saw him today at the Farmers Market on La Cienega Blvd and 18th st.(the one at the shopping center with the circuit city). You can find him there(along with other great vendors) from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm on thursdays. Check out his website for other farmers markets he makes it to during the week. He has the most amazing little cheese store on wheels! Super friendly with great insight on different cheeses! Try the buffalo mozzarella– its to die for!
