Turned out to be tastier than I expected. Got a Mongolian Beef and Garlic Chicken to split between three people and it was more than enough. They asked what kind of rice I would like and I asked if it was extra and they said yes so I said I’d make my own. Got it home and there was rice no charge. Whether that was a misunderstanding or mistake it made paying $ 30 for two items more palatable. One of the employees was very nice, the other not at all. Parking is horrendous and impossible on a good day. All in all will pick up from them again.

Friendly people and good service. But, the food(although good) definitely doesn’t taste like standard Chinese food. I got Kung pao vegetables and asked for it to be extra spicy and it was flavorful and somewhat spicy. I got the lunch special, it was a big serving and came with an egg roll. It just didn’t taste quite like Kung Pao, but it was still enjoyable. I also got the chicken tenders. They were okay, but pretty dry and not very warm. Also, their mashed potatoes are obviously instant and I hate instant mashed potatoes. Okay place for lunch, though. The lunch prices are pretty decent.

I never knew this place existed but was driving round the vicinity for work and I’m so glad I spotted it! I also have never tried Kosher food before and was honestly a lil hesitant but the moment I tried it, my perspective changed bigtime and my palette will never be the same. They’re food is amaze balls! Literally, the fried chicken is so crispy and my fave, beef and broccoli is drool worthy! Try their everyday meal deal of rotisserie or fried leg & thigh or breast & wing with any 2 side salads for just $ 7.70, what a yummy deal! The establishment itself is small and quaint and very clean so its a great stop if your in the vicinity to take a breather and enjoy a tasty meal, they also do delivery. The employees are all great at customer service and are so friendly and welcoming, my fave is Laura who always has a big smile on her face and was very helpful(and funny too) in deciding what to try! Owner Levi is so nice and very accomodating to his customers. I also love how he greatly supports community efforts since there was a fundraiser going on at the time, honestly I’d rather provide my $ to an establishment that gives back and cares about the community in which they work and expect to receive patronage from. So all in all, if you haven’t tried this establishment, you and your tummy are missing out! Give it a try, so worth it!

Great quick inexpensive kosher chicken. The fried chicken meal deal is my favorite and a great price. The penne pasta and bowtie pasta go great with it.

The takeout here is absolutely excellent. Delicious southern fried chicken, amazing fresh chinese food(best fried wontons i have had) and the service is always cheerful and efficient. I think I have tried just about everything on the menu. Great options for the kids as well. It’s hard to find a place like this, good food, good prices, good service. We love it.

This has got to be the worst food I have ever had! I ordered chicken and broccoli. Everything tasted like baby corn from a can. It even smelled like a can when I opened the container. I will never order from here again! I also got a fried rice that had NOTASTE like NONE! It was like eating cardboard rice!

The food was awful and tasted like rubber. The chicken and beef must gave been at least one week old. As a result I got a terrible stomach ache. I do not recommend this place at all.

I’ve only gotten chicken strips from here, but everything looks amazing. It’s a good place for those random times you got the itch for some chicks. Woot woot

another place we’ve been meaning to try but we always end up at nagila, the fried chicken and chinese place. the best fried chicken ever regardless if its non or kosher is in Ralph’s La Jolla supermarket kosher kitchen. its super crispy and its cooked as if it were in an iron skillet. their batter is almost non existent which is the way I like it, i don’t want to be eating thick crispy creamy flour. a must have if your in the area and love fried chicken. we shared the half chicken with their bow tie pesto pasta(must have) and cole slaw. fyi…, their half chicken is more than enough for two possibly even three. tried their dark meat first and it was savory and peppery, and the crunch was there in every bite cause of their batter. the all star must have which usually I’m not a fan of is their cut of breast. for whatever reason their seasonings and batter works the best with the white meat. typically they are not as juicy as the dark meat but that’s not the case here even to the last bite. what a weird combo of foods but if you want another option for great fried chicken regardless of its kosher in LA, chick n chow is a must have.

Last year I ordered food from them before the new management and food was disgusting, so I quite on them. Last week we went to my cousin house and he said they changed their management and quality of food has been improved and I believed that and ordered from them. O M G: Same HORRIBLE food: Mongolian beef was very oily and full of sauces and orange chicken was yellowish color and dry. No More No More Chicken chow ever…

Just moved into a new office and Chick ‘N Chow is right down the street, gave it a try today. AWESOME! Got a chicken burrito and it was so good, and tried the veggie eggrolls too, very tasty. Definitely an odd menu, what with asian food, italian and fried chicken. The fried chicken is apparently what they’re known for and all the people in there were eating that, smelled and look great! I’ll def be back to try dat friend chicken!

This place USED to be a major dive. BUTALAS!!! Under new ownership, it has really made a great turn around! The new owner, Levi Graubard, is really working his tail off to really make a difference, to offer his customers a truly yummilicious experience, and provide great service. His food is clean, fresh, and truly well made. YUM! THANKYOU!

I used to order from Chick N Chow when I was in high school. After a few years, I decided to go back and have greasy Chinese food for dinner. We had the usual Peking and Orange Chicken with an order of veggie egg rolls. I was hesitant to try the hot and sour soup but it was surprisingly good. Everything was really fresh. The egg rolls are huge, crispy, fresh, and not drenched in oil like they used to be. Although the entrees were a little fried, I could tell they had also made them fresh. The restaurant has definitely improved over the years. The lady who took my order was also kind enough to bring the good out to the car when it was ready. Overall, dinner was great and I hope to be coming back soon.
