I normally come here on my lunch break, nice cheap food. Today was different though. I asked for a slice of Hawaiian pizza, and the lady who normally deals with money pulls out a plain slice, and puts on the Canadian bacon and pineapple chunks on my pizza with her bare hands. She didn’t even wash her hands first. I also saw some of the pineapple drop on the counter and she still put it on the counter. I instantly lost my appetite when I saw that. I’ve noticed this place has a B grade but gave them the benefit of the doubt, but sorry that’s just super unsanitary. When the pizza came out, the juice from the pineapple made it all soggy. I didn’t even bother to ask for a refund since they’re pretty rude here. This was my final visit to Andre’s

In a town that doesn’t know how to make pizza, this place isn’t bad. As close as you’ll get to east coast in Hollywood

Any bad reviews must be from West Coasters. Made my husband run in here(ok no ones running anywhere the wait was a little long but for good food who cares?!) after we’d hiked Runyon canyon. Told him I was an Italian grinder more than anything(we’ve been off the east coast for almost 4 years…). GUYSTHEYKNEWWHAT I WASASKINGFORANDITTASTEDLIKEHAPPINESS. Husband also said the pizza was the best he’s had since the move. Unfortunately we’re almost two hours from LA but that won’t stop us from coming back!

These people are amazing! We were waiting in line to see One Direction and they delivered to us in line! We had been waiting in line for two hours so we were amazed when they said they would deliver to us in line so we don’t lose our spot. I am so thankful for them. & it the pizza was amazing.

Decent New York style pizza. Reasonable prices. Not as cheap as New York, but it will satisfy the pizza itch.

As someone who had to work in Hollywood for a week, this was one of the few places I went to regularly simply because it is fairly priced and not a tourist trap. Yes, they do not give free refills on the drinks, but it’s only $ 2 unlike other places. Not sure about why it got rude service comments. I had a normal interaction with an Asian lady. They simply need to make the restaurant more attractive as it gives kind of a bad vibe when you enter, but maybe that’s how they’re keeping everything cheaper than the touristy stores nearby.

Really good pizza. awesome philly cheesteak. and for 7 $. not 9+ like all the scams in san pedro. Andre’s call themselves a new york style pizza place… and they certainly are. Reminds me of some of the better places upstate/the good spots around nyc. too bad new diet will have me passing right by here for the next 6 months atleast… but we’ll worth it for now. Also wanted to add. I read the reviews. and I think a lot of the bad ones are people from LA who have never been to New York. and if they have. only to the known spots and neopolitan upscale joints. Andre’s is exactly like some of the better real NY style pizza… large 22″+ slicer pie slices. real greasy cheese. not too salty cheese. mild/tasteless sauce. no cornmeal remnants undeneath. no screen mark criss crossing underneath. not too burnt underneath. thin bottom with thicker crust. When I moved to San pedro somebody recommended me a donut shop in wilmington for pizza. it was horrible. well. it tasted ok. in a dominoes/little ceasars type of way… but it was cheap and gross. So far. I’m finding this is what Californians think pizza should be like. Domino’s or little ceasars. kind of like a cheap Greek style pizza with cardboard crust. Although really. I don’t know what people expect in pizza. there’s so many diferent kinds. neoplitan… italian gourmet. chicago deep dish. Greek deep dish. square sicilian. thin crust new york… upstate new york salty style. etc. I’ve run pizza places and been to many all over… this is good pizza… not the best. but very good… especially for california. I should also add. there are also tons of terrible places in new york… with rubbery and too salty cheese. chunky sour tomato sauce. places that char their crust and make pies with too many bubbles… more bad ones then good. Out of all chain style pizza sbarro comes closest to good new york style. slices are small and have that cheap chain taste though… but andre’s is really good. I’m surprised at the reviews. Although the lady here should consider upping her people skills. but then again. the attitude is true to new york… the place is authentic. not fancy. just tastey cheap delivery New York style.

Rude cashier, insulted me and laughed in my face. When I discussed with the owner she said it was a joke and get over it. Insulting customers and laughing at them is not a joke. I think they just enjoy being insulting since they get a lot of tourists. I won’t be going here again.

Andre’s is good pizza. I’m a little surprised to see some of the reviews, but after reading them, I can say, yes, the pizza is a little greasy and yes, the owner is not the warmest woman in the world. That being said, there is little to no good pizza in Los Angeles and this is one of the few places that has a good slice. I’m always amused at the person who goes to a pizza joint and writes a 1 star review based on their salad… I’m looking at you H. W… Stick to the pizza and you’ll be fine

If you order a whole pizza it’s made fresh. I couldn’t be happier with the service. The staff is friendly and for Los Angeles that’s saying something.

I am always in search of NY Style Pizza and when you put NY Style pizza on your menu and on your window then it should be NY Style pizza. Well? Is it? Sort of kind of… I kind of sort of like this place. The place is kind of dumpy, fitting in with the local tourist trap stores. It is right across from Grumans Chines Theatre and the Dolby. lady behind the counter has an attitude. maybe that’s the NY part of the pizza. She made a foreign family buy three sodas before she handed them the keys to the bathroom, but hey it’s Holloywood and I am sure everyone and their mother wants to use the bathroom without buying anything. back to the pizza… it was ok. It could be better, but it is a respectful attempt at a NY Style Pizza. It was better than some other places I have been to.

They ruined cheese pizza. Seriously. A sad burnt disaster of under sauced burnt dough and cheese. my last time here. The only positive was it was crispy. Almost burnt but crispy the service was good as well very nice lady served up my slices but the plain cheese was weak.

Don’t ever order the sausage and peppers sandwich. I watched the cook use the microwave to heat the sausage. You mean you couldn’t take the time to cook a fresh sausage? The place was empty! I also watched the cashier suck on her finger after handling food!!. She never washed her hands! She went on to playing on her iPad then took an order from someone. Needless to say I tossed my sandwich after a bite. HORRIBLE! I came here because I work a couple bldgs down. I rather eat the chips we have in our vending machine than come here or eat from somewhere else on the blvd. To the tourist, don’t waste your money. Their pizza may taste good, but I don’t care to find out after seeing what I saw.

Stopped in for a very quick slice on a day of shopping. I don’t get the bad reviews here. The service was very friendly and the pizza was really good, thin and big. The place was clean, we sat and had a quick slice, my jeans size went up a few inches and that was that.

Week old frank on my chili dog, bun hard as a rock. Ton of grease on everything. Wings are rubbery. Decent pizza, real greasy though. Avoid at all costs!

My favorite slice place in LA — this is coming from someone who has lived a long time in NYC. Super good cheese slice, plain cheese is my thing. Highly recommend, great, great crust and the right price. TRUST!

WOW. I ordered and the rude driver showed up with the toppings pooled and leaking out of the side of the box. He had obviously dropped it. He blamed it on the pineapple. This was the second time in a row this happened with the SAME driver. I refused to take it like that and he was as rude as could be. I called the store and the woman on the phone didn’t care. She said she could send another pizza in TWO hours. I said that wouldn’t work so she hung up on me. WOW. Anybody have pizza place recommendations?

Greasy as all hell, but still a people pleaser. We order it into my office when we have lots of guests coming, and we pair with… well, beer. Bring your napkins to blot it a bit, lest you drop dead of a heart attack the next day. Note: Doesn’t taste great cold

This place was shut down by the health department on 3÷22÷2012 because of health code violation. Rats. Gross. Ew. Enjoy your pizza.
