Buy lotto here! You have to compare liquor stores with other liquor stores and with that said this place is well stocked, aisles mess-less, cashier friendly, and it gets a lot of business. Prices are Hollywood prices because they can! If I win the lotto I’ll buy Unilocal and take over muahaha

Right downstairs from me. The guys who work here are pretty cool and the owner is friendly and cares about his business. They’ve got an okay selection and prices are what you’d expect from the neighborhood.

Over priced. I went in to buy a gift bottle for someone before work. Pretty crappy selection of mid-to-high end liquors. The manager or owner asked me to wait for delivery that was coming in as I was there. I waited. $ 46.99 for 12 year old scotch, figured okay, it’s a gift. Found out later, that same bottle at bevmo is $ 30! No refunds of course. My fault for being in a hurry, but I won’t be going back, ever. And I work down the street, so it would certainly be convenient. Fool me once, shame on you. Don’t buy here.

Pros: This place is open until 2am every night, location is convenient and the owner is a friendly enough guy. Cons: You are guaranteed to get raped on anything you buy here, and the selection is not really that great. Just go across the street to CVS, or if it’s late, and in a real pinch, there is a less touristy(read: cheaper) liquor store just two blocks west of this place that is also open until 2am.

Hey it’s okie-dokie. Pros: It’s open late. It sells random crap(ahem, necessities) that you may need late at night after CVS closes. .. drinks, booze, deodorant, baking soda, chips, burger king onion ring chips, cigarettes, and lotto tickets. The guy behind the counter(owner? really nice counter guy?) is really nice! Cons: Blvd. prices.

I always come here to take breaks from work. Either to purchase some snacks to keep me awake during the day or lotto tickets. The owner is mostly there and is very friendly. He will chat with you a bit and try to sell you some scratchers. I always give in cause you never know when luck is on your side. They sell all sorts of items from tropies to incense. There are so many liquor stores on Hollywood Blvd but I prefer this place since I’ve been coming here for years.

I worked on Hollywood Boulevard for several years and this is the ONLY liquor store I will go to when I’m in the area. This is because the guys who work here are AWESOME. Extremely friendly and sweet. They have a fantastic alcohol section(not that I’d drink on the job or anything ;)) AND they have Kamel Reds — you have NO idea how hard it is to find a place that sells those ciggies these days. I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the Hollywood prices. I mean, at least ½ the people who come here are locals so they shouldn’t have such outrageous prices(although, I’m sure, just to have that location cost 3 arms and legs a day).

This place’s prices are balls-ass horrible. I stopped in for some swill to get into fury mode before seeing some metal bands and bought a couple of cans of Joose with filthy scummy tops. I could really care less about the sanitary nature of cans, but then they charged me 4.99 each. I would have just said forget it and gone elsewhere, but I didn’t want to look like a cheap bastard with the sort of high class clientele around there, I mean there was a red carpet event going on a block away after all. Perhaps this other reviewer from Boston enjoyed the novelty of being ripped off on Hollywood blvd, but not I sir, not I. Also, have some self respect and stop drinking Bud.

This is a first rate booze palace. You can’t help but wonder if the rhythm section of Guns n’ Roses used to buy 40 oz and Nighttrain here before rehearsal. I came here to buy some Bud Pounder cans before the Police show at the Hollywood Bowl, and found it to be your classic neighborhood liquor store, even though it’s right smack in the middle of all the Hollywood tourists, celebrity impersonators, Jimmy Kimmel Live, etc. etc. Anyways I grabbed a sixer of pounders for the show. The clerk was very pleasant, and gave me good walking directions to the Bowl. Not that it’s complicated to get there, it’s right up the street. It’s a bit of a hike(15 – 20 mins.) so don’t do it on real hot days… like I did! I was sweatin by the time I got to the Bowl, but luckily there was a trailer set up serving Coors Lights, so I bought one of those to save my brews for when my friends got there off the park and ride bus. I’m such a smart drunk. Anyways, yes, 5 stars to you Hollywood Liquors!!!
