I’ve been to many El Pollo Loco and this is by far the best, I wonder why so many negative reviews, ppl complaining about 20mins 20mins on DT, Hello is chiken it takes hours to cook last time I was sitting in the dinner eating my salad and noticed how stupid customers are while ordering? Some of them don’t even know what they want, and for some of you that complained about the tables bee dirty you should educate your kids better. I noticed High school students throwing ice cubes and food across the dinner, spilling soda while playing around. That takes time from employees that should be packing on DT or taking someone’s order. But instead employees have to go clean after your brat kids. I used to work as a server before I became a loan officer and it hurts me see all this ppl complaining about speed and service I bet 50% takes their coupons they want to be treated as royalty when in reality customers are just such a cheap low lifes. Instead of complaining you should use your time to cook a nice meal for your family so maybe you can appreciate how hard the employees work to put up with bitch attitudes from all the haters out here. My office us located in Los Alamitos and I don’t think think the problem is in this restaurant I think is among the citizens upon us I’ve seen ppl complaining at a local Starbucks«my latte is not hot enough» really? Ppl should be more human and kind if someone makes a mistake is in our human nature. Next time someone has a negative experience be cool about it let the stuff know and I promised you that they will fix it for you on the spot with the big smile. Remember to be nice and kind to the ppl that handles your food, because if you guys are thinking on behaving like a dick you may get your food with a funny taste hahahha I was a server I’ve seen it all.

I am usually disappointed when I go to this El pollo loco location. I have waited in the drive thru for longer than should be and got served burnt chicken. I know you’re probably going«get out of the car and go in», well I had just come from the gym and I didn’t feel like sharing my sweaty self with everyone while they ate. I had another time in which I was going thru the drive thru and I sat and waited for someone to talk. I understand being busy, but come onto the speaker and say that. Don’t leave me sitting there. I drove off and will probably make the drive to the El pollo loco location in Buena park, because this location sucks.

Worst El Pollo Loco Experience Ever! I ordered 2 Double Chicken Tostada Salads and they were barely edible. The rice at the bottom of both salads was hard and dry, and very hard to eat or even swallow. The chicken was super dry, and left a bad taste in your mouth afterwards, and the avocado pieces were half dark brown, like they had been sitting out for a while. Never again will I go to this El Pollo Loco.

I go to this el pollo, almost daily. I’ve had my order mixed up, a few times. Unfortunately, I didn’t speak up. I wish I had sooner! After getting home, and finding my order not right, I called the store. The manager Lorena, was super nice! She arranged it so the next time I wanted to go grab my dinner, it was free!

Really upset that this location can never get it together. It’s my local El Pollo however I have never been satisfied with the service. I’ve driven miles out of my way to different locations to receive better service. But every once and a while I stop here because I’m tired and just want to get home asap and every single time I do there’s an issue with my order. Not once have they got it right not to mention I have to go over my order multiple times while in the drive thru. Today was no exception! Food missing, wrong salad. Samo samo.

This el pollo is one of the worst I’ve been to. Service is horrible and they take forever. I ordered 2 items and they still managed to screw it up. The boneless skinless chicken breast was boned and had skin still on it. It was very dry and you could tell it was old. The meal came with a salad. I honestly thought a salad included dressing however this combo didn’t. I asked for light cilantro and was told no the salad with the chicken breast meal doesn’t come with dressing. So why not advertise it as a side of lettuce. The bowl of lettuce they provided was so full of water. I poured the lettuce bowl into the styrofoam container with my chicken and everything was floating. Now my chicken was no longer dry. Just overall nasty!

I was never really a fan of EPL but I reguarly recieve coupons from them in the mail and when I found it there is one between my house and work I decided to give it a try. All of my epxerience here with the staff is always friendly and food always hot and fresh. The one thing you can say about this EPL is their soda fountain doesn’t cheap out on the sryup unlike places such as McDonalds or KFC. Overall I like this place with their friendly staff, quick service, decent parking(for some reason they always have construction trucks in their parking lot), and convenient location from work to my house.

This store is the most convenient on my way to work and I am obsessed with their salads but this location is a shame to el pollo loco! They are rude. Do NOT know how to multitask in a drive thru and do not know how to communicate properly. They also almost ALWAYS forget the dressing or salsa. I have started leaving early and driving out of my way to the one down the street. I’m being very gracious in giving one star. Unilocal should give you a no star option. Why roll out a new menu when staff is not trained? So, what do I mean? Well… We were convinced to have the Avocado Shrimp Salad since it looks delicious on their posters. The cashier didn’t even know how to ring it up so she called over the manager. We pointed to the poster since their was a definite language barrier. Not surprisingly, she obviously didn’t listen, couldn’t see us pointing, or is as incompetent as her employee. She rung up the wrong item. So… fast forward 15 minutes — yep 15!!! The employee with a smile on her face, at least, brought our lunch. Well, of course, it’s not what we ordered. In fact, we don’t know what is was since it’s not on the menu. I took it back to the counter and asked if they know how to make the new item — Avocado Shrimp Salad. The manager, seeming annoyed, snapped«I’ll make it!» Fast forward another 10 minutes — yep…10 minutes!!! Two new salads are brought to our table. Although, it looked closer to what we ordered — it STILL — wasn’t. Although the shrimp was tasty, the mango salsa was tasteless. We were served the incorrect dressing and the salad was very small. Needless to say, we will not be back!!! If we are, we will stick with what you do best — chicken!!! Please train your staff so they don’t appear to be incompetent!

This is the EPL from hell. I’ve been screwed a hundred different ways at this location over the years. I will not go here again(this is the thirteenth time I’ve sworn that and this time, I mean it!) It’s been remodeled, and it’s still awful. It’s been a disaster for at least 5 years, so at this point, it’s obvious to me that it’s a management/franchisee problem. This location is 3BLOCKS away. I now drive to the next closest ones, 1.5 and 3MILES away, which are«ok» and«pretty good» respectively. Why you should avoid this location like it’s got the plague — 3 out of 4 visits, something will go wrong. Specific examples: –20+ min drive-thru waits while serving only 3 cars — Your order is wrong(usually missing something) — After you order they ask you to park because your order isn’t ready — They are out of chicken(yes, seriously — I’ve had this experience a half-dozen times) — They are out of ________ — The drive-thru lane is locked off/curbed, so if they are«out of chicken» and you didn’t order, or you’ve been sitting in a line of 3 cars for 20+ min, you have no escape route. You get to wait to leave, without any food! — Stingy with salsa — Frequently missing some or all tortillas ordered My last visit I waited 40, yes 40! min for chicken. They ran out at about 7 pm on a Saturday, said it would be 20 min, which became 40. What!!! There is no fast in this food. Close this down or get a new franchisee.
