IHOP

Four of us ate here on June 19, 2016 and received MEDIOCRE FOOD AND HORRIBLE SERVICE. At the time only about 25 percent of the tables had customers. They were not busy at all. After we ordered our food our waitress disappeared for AN HOUR. When our food finally arrived, AN HOUR after we ordered it, things that should be served hot were only slightly warm. In addition, three of the meals served came with missing or incorrect items. We love IHOP restaurants and eat at them frequently, but this is the third time we have received MEDIOCRE FOOD AND HORRIBLE SERVICE at this particular IHOP. Consequently, we will not be eating at this IHOP again even though it is the IHOP closest to our house. My credit card receipt says the server we had on June 19, 2016 was «204 Jordyn S». The «204» must be some kind of IHOP code. Since we have had bad experiences here three times (with three different servers) there might be a systemic management problem at this IHOP.

The only reason I’m giving this place one star is because I’ve been to this iHop before and the service/​food were okay. However, this time when we went in on a slow, Tuesday morning, our waitress Joyce seemed to be in a hurry and not attentive at all. First, we ordered coffee, then our meal: banana/​Nutella crepes, two eggs, hash browns and (turkey) bacon slices. We made sure to ask for turkey bacon because we don’t eat pork.
Halfway into the meal, I smell the bacon and it’s kind of funky, not like the usual turkey bacon I’ve had. I take a bite into it and it tastes disgusting. We finally ask our waitress to come over and we ask her if she made sure to give us turkey bacon. Her response, «Oh my goodness, I forgot. I should’ve been more conscious.» For her to be so absent minded when we clearly asked her for turkey bacon and not regular bacon was unbelievable. Worst part of it all, she wasn’t even apologetic. We asked to speak to the manager, he was very nice and apologetic and didn’t charge us for our meal.
I would hope that when a customer requests for alternative changes to their meal, the waiter/​waitress would be attentive and careful, especially when it comes to meat. I definitely won’t be coming back to this iHop anymore and will tell others of my experience too, it’s unfortunate, but that’s what happens when the staff isn’t observant to their customers’ needs.

Cleanest ihop I’ve been to! Service was great and super friendly staff! Our twin 2 yr olds were entertained with coloring page offered and they loved their create a face pancakes!

Love the hash browns here. Can’t show cuz I eat them all. JOYCE our server was a delight. If I lived near by I would most definitely return.

What in the hell is this place. Absolutely disgusting. Eggs tastes of cardboard. The restaurant is filthy… and even worse the management is disorganized. There are many other restaurants in the area. So please. Do yourself a favor and eat at the phở place or italian place they have in the same plaza. The food in both restaurants is the same price but 10x the experience. 10x the taste and 10x the quality.
If you somehow do go to ihop because its later than 10pm. Beg for mercy…

This location has quickly become my favorite go to for breakfast. The food is always delicious and is brought out to me in a timely manner. The servers are all so polite as well as welcoming. I really enjoy the atmosphere. Will always frequent this location

This ihop is fairly close to us so we always find ourselves here for breakfast. We’ve always had a great experience. Fast service and hot coffee. The breakfast is always hot and made correctly! They offer discounts for military, firefighters, and law enforcement. Great environment.

A classic place for breakfast. I go here because it’s close to where I grew up in Lorton. Fairly new place from what I know and you can’t go wrong. The country fried steak is a classic and my lady orders the banana Nutella crepes.

Took 3 hours for a simple meal, horrible IHOP the service needs to be replaced completely

We were thrilled when we found out that we would be getting a neighborhood IHOP. The food is what you would expect from any IHOP. The first few months were great. Service began to decline and they seem to never have enough staff. The past two times we’ve been there we’ve heard the manager yelling at a server, the last time yelling at someone to go home. I think new management may be in order.

Was sat immediately in an almost empty restaurant.
Our server took our drink order and it took about 20 min for him to return to take our order and give us the drinks.
I got the quick 2 egg breakfast. Was denied sunny side up because apparently that wasn’t an option which is hard to believe because cracking an egg on the skillet shouldn’t be too hard compared to scrambled and whatnot. Never was asked if I wanted bacon or sausage so I had to point it out and he seemed bothered but it’s whatever. Got served bacon when asked for sausage and my grits were hard as a rock.
Server wasn’t knowledgable nor was he up keeping a positive attitude.
I’d skip this location and just go to Bob and Edith’s diner in Springfield or to another IHOP.

Your standard IHOP. I waited 5 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant. I seated myself, took a menu and then someone showed up to take my order. It was somehow made a to-​go order though which was eventually corrected.
I decided to use the restroom and instantly regretted it. The men’s room smelled of ammonia so strongly that I gagged. I couldn’t use it. Luckily the there was no one in the establishment other than myself and friend so I helped myself to the women’s room. It was dirty too but manageable. The food came within a reasonable amount of time but the order was wrong and my pancakes were nowhere to be found. They came 5 minutes after the rest of my food. When our drinks ran out, we waited patiently for a while but grew tired of waiting. I decided to call the restaurant to see if someone would come refill our drinks but that didn’t work either as nobody answered the phone. My friend finally walked into the kitchen to get a refill. For the first time in my life, I did not leave a tip.

My mom and I stopped here for dinner tonight on my 1500 mile move down to FL. We were greeted by such friendly staff as soon as we entered and our sever, Richard was awesome. He was attentive, friendly and genuine. Definitely an awesome experience that made the drive down feel much more bearable! Of course The food was delicious too :)

This is always a good breakfast place, I love the country omelette and pancakes.
The service is always good and quick.
Take out is great, haven’t had anything wrong with any take out orders.

Great service, clean, quick seating and served our food fast. Food was what you’d expect — decent. Overall exceeded expectations.

Walked in and sat down. Waitress didn’t come for 20 mins. Had to order right away because we were in a hurry. The restaurant was freezing cold. Now when getting our food 30 minutes after order the pancakes were undercooked and raw. the omelet was 10 minutes late and the butter was moldy!
Never the less the food was cold. And to redo the potatoes because they were burnt! Our waitress Bre was the best though and she should be the manager it would have ran smoother! No to cold food!

The service is consistent the food sometimes is a hit or miss. I still give it a 3 star since it’s convenient and close to where I live. I wish they stick to their recipes though. There are days the Sirloin tips are good and there are days it’s tough and dry but you can says rely on a friendly service though.

On our way to SC we stopped here for breakfast. One of the cleanest IHOP’s I’ve been to. Very courteous server and very attentive.
Food was good. The bacon was a tad bit salty for my liking but that was most likely not their fault.
All and all we had a great experience here.

Dear IHOP,
I wish I could give you no stars. I’ve been here a few times and the service has always been shitty. I just went this morning and sat for ten minutes with no service at all. All I wanted was eggs and toast!!! I left and went somewhere that knows how to serve some damn breakfast!!! I mean shit, all you do all day is make eggs and toast!!! You would think you could have figured it out by now!!! It can’t be that fucking hard! How long have you been doing this? I mean honestly, get your shit together!!! I could have driven home and made eggs and toast in the amount of time I waited to be greeted!!! My five year old could google how to make eggs and toast and then succeed in making it faster than this!!! Get competent!!!
Ps you ruin breakfast for everyone in the Lorton area!!!

So um, yikes!
My Dad and I were on the way back from DC. While driving I started to feel I was getting the food shakes and on top of that we were seriously fending some breakfast food. Saw this 24hr IHOP on an exit sign and made a quick b-​line across 3 lanes and finally found this location way down the road.
So I do not like to be the wearer of bad news but I also do not appreciate when pride is not taken in service and care of customers.

Okay so yeah it was small but I was creeped out for the rest of the time spent there. Food was IHOP good, yes. But the experience was not up to my standards!
