They have been shut down for almost a month now due to a fire and will not be reopening

would give it more stars if they had actually let me order. i called at 9:30(they close at midnight). they don’t deliver? so insert pretty woman scene where jr asks the sales girls if they work on commission. big mistake. i loved the original in orange and ordered there frequently. i will go pay more and get less somewhere else!

I ordered an X-Large Pizza with fresh garlic and tomatoes as well as an Antipasto Salad with Italian Dressing. The price was great(under $ 20) and the delivery person as well as the person who took my call was very nice. It did take a bit over an hour to get my pizza delivered, but it was still hot and they even gave me a free 2-liter bottle of Fanta. The crust was thin(which I like) and the sauce and toppings had a nice flavor. Overall, this was the best pizza I’ve had delivered in the Signal HIll /Long Beach area. I’d give it five stars except they don’t offer online ordering(which I prefer) and I was told they didn’t have any drinks available when I ordered, which was a bummer. They obviously discovered otherwise and sent along a soda, but I would have loved to been able to order an icy fountain drink with my pizza! Overall, though, a great experience! I’ll definitely order again.

Stopped by for a meatball sandwich… got home and noticed the meatball sandwich was not even homemade. Small meatballs and chopped bell peppers and onions made this sandwich a disappointment. I had better and now i know where I wont be getting a meatball sandwich..

Finally. I found a damn good pie in the new ‘hood. Actually for the price and convenience, it’s the best delivery pizza I’ve ever had in Cali. Consistently fast, I can count on this place to get here quick! Usually get the wings too. They are not super large but you can tell they aren’t loaded with growth hormones either. Decent wings compared to most other chains. Too bad they’re closed by 9pm though… there is a location on 2nd street too. Both deliver to me and are equally consistent, although the hub claims the salad on 2nd was better quality.

The bad: Pizza was not very good, chicken wings were even worse,(lack of) soda choices is ridiculous. The good: delivery was fast and accurate, and at least the pizza was piping hot when we got it.

Their pizza in my experience tends to have a thin crust. As such the toppings and pizza toppings soak it, leaving it a floppy mess and the toppings tend to slip right off with every other slice. Because of that, I stick to their lasagna. Eating the breadsticks with the lasagna is really the only reason to have the lasagna. The delivery time is pretty quick and the lasagna is decent if you’re into lasagna that has a somewhat sweet flavor in its sauce.

As someone who really enjoys pizza and considers himself a connoisseur, I found this place to be very disappointing. In all the years I’ve been alive, I’ve yet to encounter a place that sells pizza by the slice but has NOWHERE for you to sit down and eat it. Hell, I’ll even take a counter top where I can STAND and eat the slice of pizza I bought… Not here, though. They handed me my two slices of pizza, each on a flimsy paper plate, apparently expecting me to take it home that way or sit on the curb and use the sidewalk as a table. Also, they only sell slices of pepperoni which I thought was boring and two slices took 10 minutes(no other customers were before me, mind you). The older lady behind the counter was quite disgruntled, too. Just some words of advice ma’am: A smile goes a loooooong way. As for the pizza: it was good. Not great, but good. They were big slices and it stayed warm, even after having to drive all the way home to eat it.(This is why I’m giving two stars and not one). It’s no wonder there were NOOTHERCUSTOMERS the entire time I was there.

Sorry but not NYC style pizza. So I can’t comprehend. Great if you are doing laundry next door and need to occupy time. Great for the local college students. Too bad because I’m not in college and not interested. Sorry.

Ordered take out from here yesterday! We got the 3 topping pizza and wing special and overall the food is pretty good! The hot wings have a nice kick, and they don’t skimp on the toppings. Only con for me was that the pizza sauce was a little on the sweet side, but I personally prefer my sauces on the spicy side.

After a drunken day out at the Toyota Grand Prix, we got home and wanted PIZZA! it was about 930pm and my cousin ordered us a pepperoni pizza that was just AMAZING. The dough had this perfectly chewy crust with a good amount of pepperoni… and it was delivered! We ALMOST went to grab a medium pizza for the drive back to SF lol

I wish I could give this zero stars. I haven’t actually eaten the pizza here because my experience was so horrendous before I was even able to eat. First of all, I confused this place with the place I was ACTUALLY trying to order from(the Valentinos at the traffic circle, which is awesome), but I had already made to order before I realized it so I figured, oh well I’ll just try this place. The delivery guy gets there and is not prepared for me to pay with a card. Granted, I didn’t specifically tell them I was paying with a card but the woman that took my order didn’t ask either. He says I have to call in to pay with my card. An inconvenience but no big deal. I call in and get the same woman. I give my card number and she says it’s declined. Having just been on the phone with my bank that day for an unrelated issue, I know that there is plenty of funds in that account, but ok — I grab a credit card that I know has room on it. Also declined. Now I’m really stumped, but maybe the bank has done something weird and I need to call them. I can accept that as a plausible explanation. So, I get my husbands card for his completely separate, at a different bank, business account. Also declined. At this point, I am beyond incredibility and ask her to please check her machine because there was no possible way that ALLTHREE of these cards were bad. She flat out refused and said that I needed to come up with another card or cash. I told her I was out of options so she says to give the pizza back to the delivery guy. Throughout this entire ordeal, her attitude was that I was the one inconveniencing HER. I asked to speak to a manager and she stated that she was the owner and then started lecturing me about how I needed to either pay or give the pizza back. At this point, exasperated, I told her that I would NEVER be ordering from her again and hung up. I gave the pizza back to the guy and apologized to him because I didn’t have any cash to tip him(hey, it’s not his fault his boss is a bitch). I decide that I’ll just drive over to the Valentino’s that I was trying to order from to begin with and get a pizza. Funny enough, my card worked JUSTFINE, despite the fact that she was 100% sure that her machine was not having problems. This whole situation could have been avoided if she had had the decency to at least pretend like she gave a shit about her customer. All she had to do was check her machine, but I guess she’d rather not get paid for her product, stiff her driver out of a tip and lose a customer. Good choice!

I’m from NJ(and hung around New York for a good portion of time.) So I have that ‘holier than thou’ attitude when it comes to the foldable stuff. The first time I walked into this place I asked if they had individual slices and they said no. Needing something cheaper and quicker, I moved on, I think to Del Taco. I took one look the ‘conveyor belt’ over and I judged a book by its cover and jumped to a conclusion. This place is just like every other sorry pizza place in California. Frozen Dough. A lot of pizza for the money but an off product. I left. Thinking I had dodged a bullet. Again, the family told me they were from Michigan. In my mind I’m thinking what does the Mid West know about pizza. Man Was I ever wrong. I returned the other day and Lo and behold they had dollar slices. Okay. For a dollar you get pepperoni too. I’m wiling to try this. IMREALLYGLAD I DID. Seriously, right up there with an East Coast Slice. They nailed it. Wow, in Southern California? From the Mid West? Conveyor Belt Ovens? So none of it really made sense to me until I took my first bite. Really a legit East Coast caliber slice! Also the PRICE! ONEDOLLAR! EVENBACKEASTYOUCANTFIND A DEALTHISGOOD. The slice wasn’t tiny for a dollar either. I got two. Honestly even I’n NJ you pay $ 1.75ATLEAST for a good slice of pizza. With NOTOPPINGS. These came WITH pepperoni for $ 1 and they were a good size, filling and most importantly DONERIGHT! I am so glad I found this place. I am a fan!

Pizza is good, not the best! Pizza is cooked they way I like it! Crispy, I like that crunch! The pizza sauce had some flavors, cheese seems to be fresh, pepperoni was spicy the way I like it. Let’s just face it folks, competition is crazy! This location can more then hold its own.

Esther’s ‘Valentino’s Pizza” has THEBEST pizza sauce. Everytime we order a classic pepporoni pizza, we comment on how the secret’s in the sauce. Stop by and taste it yourself! We’ve also tried a few of Esther’s home made Italian dishes and they’re really authentic! Rod & Efren

This is a no nonsense quickie pizza joint… nothing fancy… it’s a walk up window and they sell pizza by the slice… my brother lived on this at one point in his life… They’re super fast, super nice and super affordable… if you’re going to CSULB… I’m sure you have come here at least once… and if you haven’t and you like pizza… you should check it out! It used to be $ 1 a slice… not sure if it’s gone up but even if it’s $ 2 a slice… it’s worth it!

This pizza is not bad, not bad at all. Like most posters I mostly go to the one on Ximeno and PCH for just a slice and that is much tastier for some reason… I think it’s mostly because eating more than 1 or 2 slices makes for a bit much of pizza which is a tad bit greasy and will make you feel super bloaty when all is said and done. But for the price it is good pizza not great and in a pinch when money is low and you’re not exactly in the flow then this is the place to to go!
