Pinches Pizzas

My go-​to place for my pizza cravings in Long Beach.
Parking always seems to be a problem around the area, but luckily I’m within Delivery distance. The toppings are always fresh and plentiful. The dough is at that happy medium between too chewy and too thin for a solid, satisfying pizza without being overly greasy!
If you’re not sure what to get, try out their Pinche Barbeque. It’s a savory combo that is hard to beat (who doesn’t like BBQ chicken, bacon, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers?)

Pinches Pizza is the definition of a ‘hole in the wall’ place because it’s in the middle of the block, the sign isn’t that bright, and the place is always dark inside.
But once you get past these things, you’ll find a friendly staff and an even better pizza pie.
Tuesday’s are their $ 1 topping day so make sure you load up your pie with their fresh ingredients.

Gave it another go because I’m a sucker for stuffed crust. Ordered a large Hawaiian and it was amazing. Toppings didn’t fall off this time! Stuffed crust was delicious! I also ordered a 6 piece wings and my total was $ 23. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely order from here again.

The pizza is pretty good, not too thick and not too thin and not greasy at all. The marinara sauce is really good.
We also ordered a large garden salad, which was fresh and a good size for $ 5.
We didn’t order drinks, but were pleasantly surprised when they brought out a large glass bottle of ice-​cold water for us.
The staff was really friendly as well.
My only gripe is that they don’t have fountain drinks. If you want soda with your pizza, you have to buy cans, but they’re only .85 so it’s not so bad. They also sell ice cream for your sweet tooth.
The ambiance is pretty cool and they play good music.

I decided to give this place another try. The pizza is definitely better but the biggest disappointed is the hot wings.

Food tastes great, excellent customer service, affordable price. I wish there was one in LA.

After living in L.A. all my life, I’ve come to hate pizza. I mean, unless you’re willing to cough up an arm and a leg for a CD sized frisbee at Mozza, your only options are the nationwide chains or the amateurish mom ‘n pop joints (or a vacation in NYC).
Today, I wasn’t even thinking about pizza when I ran across all the five star reviews here on Unilocal.The more I read, the more intrigued I became. So much so that, I called in an order for lunch.
When I got there, I recognized the place. I had passed by this joint many times in the past, and never gave it a thought. It’s right smack in the shittier part of Long Beach with a bright sign on the window that says, «1 large, 1 topping pizza for $ 5.99»… not very promising, so I thought. Maaaan, was I ever wrong! This place actually don’t have the right to be as good as it is. No, it’s not New York style, and they don’t have a lot of unusual toppings. But they do all the basics really well and put out a really good product. I got the large Meat Lovers pizza, and I was impressed. I mean, the crust had a light crunch with a nice chew, and the toppings were super fresh (the sausage was actually juicy). The sauce was nicely balanced, as well… a little on the light side, but a perfect complement to the pie. All this for under $ 12… are you serious?! The service… well, I didn’t get the super friendly service that the other reviewers raved about, but for what I got, I’m not complaining. This place actually reversed my hatred for pizza! Highly recommended.

This pizza spot is definitely worth the drive. The pizzas are B O M B and the customer service is amazing! A definite ¹⁰⁄₁₀.

Wanted to try something different and turned to Unilocal.Came back to the old hood and eas not disappointed. $ 9.99 for a large pizza and wings… sold! Don’t let my rating fool you. The pizza is good. 3 more minutes in the oven to get to that next level of crunch would make the pizza great.
Next time you’re traveling along Anaheim and get that pizza crave, give Pinches Pizza a try.

We got the 2 topping large pizza special, the pizza here is amazing! Fast delivery and the food was hot!

From the food to the atmosphere this is definitely my new favorite pizza place. Had an extra pepperoni pizza pizza accompanied by their spicy buffalo wings and both were out of this world the wings were crispy and had just the right amount of sauce and you could taste the freshness of the pizza bite after bite. The staff is friendly and kept making sure we were doing ok, the only con I would have to point out is the street parking but you’re here for the food so they get ⁵⁄₅ for amazing pizza and wings will definitely have to come back to try other items which in sure will not disappoint.

Our first experience. My bf and I wanted to like this place so bad… Because the 2 guys that worked here seemed genuinely nice.
However when we walked in, I asked the girl if they had a restroom (no restroom) and she totally looked like, urgh. She said, no with an attitude. Im sure she was probably annoyed thinking I only wanted the restroom, but that wasn’t the case. I just can’t eat at places without a restroom, so to go it is. I let it slide and carried on.
Ended up ordering a large pizza with chicken, spaghetti with meatballs and garlic bread, and 12 piece chicken wings.
The pizza was good. I’d say ¾ rating. Only thing I’d say is, it hardly had any if any tomato sauce at all in it. I was fine with it but my bf likes tomato sauce, so when he pointed it out, I definitely noticed it was hard to find any tomato sauce at all.
The wings weren’t crispy, a little soggy. ²⁄₄ rating.
The spaghetti… I thought it had flavor, my bf said its plain. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT is, the noodles were way too overcooked, almost an off white in color and toooo soft. The garlic bread was like breadsticks, nothing amazing. ¼ stars.
I can’t say if we’d come back here or not…
I would like to recommend this to the owners/​employees.
— Name tags. The chubby, I believe Hispanic guy was super nice and gave great customer service and was actually the one that greeted us from the moment he saw us. I wish I knew his name to give him credit.
— No ice cream shop. Its a tad much. It doesn’t go with the whole «pizza» restaurant. And removing it will create space.
— The toy machines already have a 50cent sticker in it… Remove the paper label that states 50 cents thats hanging on the top of each toy machine, it screams to parents, oh no. It only needs to say 50 cents once with the small sticker by the coin insertion.
Loved the big fat real Christmas tree. It was beautiful and made me feel in the Christmas spirit.
Hmm. Hope the best for this starting out establishment. We’ll see.

Yummy pizza, enough said! Great place to grab pizza for lunch with friend’s and family.

Amazing! The people are super nice, the food is delicious… and the name is fun to say! We had the barbecue pizza, the deluxe, and an order of the chicken tenders; the pizza was tasty, and the chicken was crunchy but not greasy. We will definitely be back!

A pizza date adventure with my sister! This place was awesome!!! Their environment such as their cool art on the brick wall, dope music, clean place, romantic lights, and their great costumer service, left my sister and I very content :) oh and MOST importantly their pizza was ORGASMIC!!! I literally moaned throughout every bite! The bread melts in your mouth and the honey taste in the crust made my eyes roll back!!! The toppings I got were pepperoni, tasty mushroom, bomb pineapple, and the most delicious bell peppers I’ve ever had. I MUST come back, and you MUST come to this place!!! I love Pinches Pizzas!

pinches pizzas, i like the name a lot, simple and crazy, the pizza is really good, a lot better than I expected, the employees are really attentive, and the place look really clean.
I tried the Mexican bandito pizza, it has beans, chorizo, jalapeño, onion and pepperoni. it was good, and we tried the deluxe as well it was good too.
im going back to try the rest if the menu.
