Pieology Pizzeria

The manager saw my mother and I looking at the menu and leaving due to fear of gf cross contamination. He chased us down to assure us he could make it on a safe tray and had a very nice young lady help us. The pizza was not the best, but the service was above what most places provide anymore!

I liked the concept of set price for a custom pizza. You can customize everything on your pizza from the dough to the sauce and toppings.
When I came in it got a little confusing, first you have to order and create you pizza. Then you pay and they will give you a number and they will serve your pizza.
Pizza tastes okay, I ordered most of my favorite ingredients including artichoke hearts, spinach etc.

Passed this place a dozen times over the past 18 months, live about a mile away. We finally went, this is another Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) type. A trend started by Subway and perfected by Chipotle’s.
We ordered the Rustic Veggie, whole wheat dough lots of veggies, cheese.
Dough was extremely thin, like a saltine cracker thin. This crust couldn’t support the weight of the veggies & cheese, the veggies were a combination of fresh and canned and gave off a lot water. The crust was too thin to absorb all the water.
Three stars for quick service, good cheese and fresh veggie toppings, place was clean and orderly.

I Unilocaled «build your own pizza» and my had heard good things about Pieology. I liked the name, so all systems were go!
There is just one size pizza. I think it’s 12 inches and 8 slices. Seems small, but you can put as many toppings as you want for the same price. I mean as many items as you want. The pies are a little over $ 9 before tax. Not a bad deal at all.
They also have some pizza suggestions on the menu in case you can’t decide what you want.
If you only want a cheese pizza with no toppings, it’s only about $ 6.25 before tax.
This place is great. The pizza makin’ crew is cool and very patient with everyone.
Even though a 12-​inch pizza seemed small, it was plenty filling, and the pizzas are thin-​crust which is a plus in my book.
Seven of us ate our fill or less than $ 50. We didn’t order drinks. Still, a great deal for a decent pie.
Plenty of seating indoors and out. A very big parking lot. Super easy parking.
The life of Pieology is a good one.

Wow… finally tried Pieology Pizzeria and loved it! The pizza was one of the best I’ve ever had (maybe because I was able to choose all of my own fresh toppings from a great selection). The service was friendly and efficient too! It was a beautiful day so we enjoyed sitting at their outdoor tables.

First time here at this location and I have to say it’s consistant with the others I’ve been to. Always good. I don’t know when I’ll be back to this location because I don’t frequent that area but at least I know it’s there and it’s good if I am in the area.

The thin crust pizza that I ordered was great, it was very light and not too soggy from the sauce.
Also the pizza came out pretty fast and the restaurant was very clean and quiet.
It’s a nice spot to go to for a quiet lunch so I recommend!

okay, first things first, I’m not here to bash on the company, AT ALL. I just had a horrible experience at this location. long story short, I believe the service was just shitty. The line wasn’t long and I believe the pizza makers could have put in a bit more effort to creating our pizzas. First of all, I NEVER EVER complain when there’s a little extra sauce or cheese, but if you’re LITERALLY dumping sauce and handfuls of cheese on a THIN pizza, when we did not ask for it, obviously it’s going to become soggy and gross. Well, that’s exactly what happened. There was WAAAAAY too much cheese and sauce to even comfortably eat the pizza. We didn’t even finish it. The worst part is that it was rushed! There was literally only another couple in line with us, that’s it, so there’s no excuse for rushing anything. I’ve worked for a pizza place EXACTLY like this so I know and understand portions.
I’m just highly disappointed because we choose Pieology over many other pizzas places we’ve had.

I love this new concepts in pizza making, although it’s not really new, but then again it is.
Ordering a pizza the way you want it is not a new concept, but if you could have a guilt free pizza that is really nice and thin and a Subway Restaurant style of pizza making experience, where you could pick all the different toppings and have them put a little more of this or little less of that — now this is a new pizza experience.
But in the end it’s all about flavor isn’t it? The sauce is really good and all the wonderful different toppings are great. I love this place just as much as I love your basic eat fresh, choose it yourself subway style place too.
So if you’re craving a pizza and don’t want all the extra dough and want to make it your way, then please check this place out. You’ll find them popping up all over different areas! Yesss Pieology!

Great pizza here. You pick the toppings. Done quickly and affordable. $ 8.95 whatever you want on it. Also dessert pizza dough $ 2.95 cinnamon and icing. Herb one too. Salads you make them also. Why go anywhere else?

Empty store but it took 20 minutes to bring us our pizza. Someone walks in after us and asks how long does the pizza usually take to cook, and the lady responds usually 5 – 7 minutes. I ask for my pizza well done because I like it crispy, so I expected a longer cook time. Lady serving us tilts the pizza wrong and a good chunk of toppings fall off, before the pizza hits the oven. She didn’t even bother to spread out the toppings so I don’t get a bite of just bread. After all this, she didn’t even put the pizza in the oven yet. She goes in the back for 10 minutes while I’m sitting, watching, thinking to myself that my pizza could be cooking right now. After they finish making the pizza for the customer after us, they put both our pizzas in together. They took them out at the same time too, even though I asked for my pizza well done…
After receiving my pizza, I took one bite and all the toppings just slid right off. I had the hardest and messiest time eating the pizza because toppings would fall off with every bite. I’ve been to several Pieology locations, and this place was terrible. There were three ladies working but it seemed like no one was really paying attention.
Domino’s wouldn’t do me like this.

Catherine is Awesome. Catherine made the best pizza I have had in a long time! She is very friendly and a great communicator, our pizza was perfect.
Definitely worth 5 stars. Will be back soon!

I love how there are so many places where you can customize food now. Pieology is great because you can put as many toppings and sauces as your heart desires for one price and no extra cost for extra toppings! They do charge for gluten free though.
I got the gluten free pizza with half side bbq chicken pizza and half side marinara. The toppings I chose were pepperoni, mushroom, sausage, banana peppers, and I don’t remember the rest now. But I really liked that they have pesto! I definitely got that drizzled on top.
The pizza here is good. I believe it is a personal sized pizza? Maybe bigger. not too sure but I for finished it all: x btw. the gluten free pizza is smaller than the normal pizza.

Very attentive service, kind, and enthusiastic. They greet pretty much everyone walking in and out the door. They exceed normal expectations of a restaurant. The pizza is great as well, a wide selection and generous toppings.
I’d definitely recommend going here if you’re in the mood for thin crust pizza.

This location in Long beach is pretty new and the staff is already running things smoothly.
Very nice staff, our pizza was made quickly and tasted great.
I had a salad as well and it was super fresh and tasty as well.
You can’t beat $ 8 for a pizza or salad with as many toppings as you like, perfect place to take picky eaters.
Plenty of seating, very nice, worth stopping in!

A new Pieology Pizzeria just opened in Long Beach, so I had to check it out. They serve individual custom made pizzas. I had mine made with original pizza dough, red marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. For the toppings I had onions, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, spinach, fresh basil, pepperoni, and a sprinkle of dried oregano. It only took about 5 minutes to cook in the brick oven.
The pizza was delicious! Lucky for me it’s right by the gym. The price was right and the service was outstanding.

I am SO excited to have a brand new Pieology right close to home! I am already a huge fan of the Lakewood location, and had been eagerly awaiting the opening of this location! :) I have a severe, terminal heart-​lung disease (pulmonary hypertension) and I LOVE pizza! Pieology lets people like me put together a healthy pizza that is still yummy! :)
I spoke with Michael the manager today, and am SO impressed with his kindness and attentiveness! With this kind of great leadership, this place is already becoming my new favourite place to eat, and I can tell it will continue to be! :)
They have excellent food, well prepared, at excellent prices and GREAT people! What more can you ask for? Oh, cleanliness! They have that too :).

I was excited to see the sign that it was opening where the old Baja Fresh was. I took my Son and my Mom before it opened so it was a soft opening which means the pizza was free!!! My son loves the idea of creating his own pizza the price is good & it’s done quick too!!! So glad they opened one in Long Beach we will be there a couple times a month
**Update **
Went back today ¹⁰⁄₁₀ great food once again 2 things they need to work on the pizza was not cut all the way through and they have chocolate milk not regular milk which is a bummer hope they start carrying the regular milk soon

Came on opening day. Big fan. The Chipotle of pizza. Love the option of customizing your own pizza. Additions like Kalamata olives, sundried tomatoes, artichoke and tons of meat options. Great quality ingredients for $ 8.
What’s great is that there is one 5 minutes driving distance from my house. Now there is one walking distance. Great for the family and next to my gym. Does it fit my macros? Uh yeah.
