We went here last night around 9pm. The place was pretty empty and we were seated fairly quickly so that was good. I’d never been here before. Right after we ordered, we noticed the lady next to us was really mad and throwing a fit yelling at the waitress but we didn’t understand why. I get it now. We ordered drinks and a salad. After eating the salad we noticed we didn’t get our drinks. 25 minutes for a bloody mary. Remember the place was empty. We ordered our food(I got medium cooked tri tip with shrimp, mashed potatoes, and broc and he got rib eye with a salad and chili) and the tri tip was COLD. Super cold. I let the lady know that the meat was cold so she took my plate and came back after about 10 minutes and said they grilled the meat. Well now its not medium and now all the sides were cold. Cold mashed potatoes, cold rice, and cold shrimp. Still didn’t get the chili for my husband. The other waitress came and took my plate and made me a whole new plate. It was better but I just wasn’t hungry anymore. Broccoli came 5 minutes later. Still no chili. Got more bread which was delicious. We finally got the chili 30 minutes after he got his food. We got the bill and they charged me twice by accident –___– The waitress was nice. Not going back

The quality of this location is significantly worse than other locations like the STELLAR Victorville location. I don’t know why there is a tolerance for such disparate quality. I gave up on the sirloin here as it was simply never cooked right. Tonight I had the Prime Rib which, with the exception of a 2.5 inch square lump of fat that should’ve been trimmed and not served, was at least tender and fairly tasty. But I don’t think the cooks doing the meat care. Any chef with minimal skill will drizzle a Prime Rib with Au Jus and perhaps a little butter before serving so it is moist and looks appetizing. Not here! It comes dry as a bone like it was cut a long time ago, with a tiny cup of Au Jus. And it was barely warm. Very bad. The worst thing about this location are the rolls and to be honest Roadhouse rolls are why I drive all the way here. In locations like Victorville they are like beautiful, soft clouds. Here they are not risen properly and over-cooked until hard. And then they are served dry, without the finishing brushing of butter on top. So they come to you dry and hard. The person doing them is utterly incompetent and may be better cutting lettuce or peeling potatoes. And it wasn’t just an off night for all of this. I gave them 3 tries over the past 3 months, with pretty much the same result. The things I had no complaints about are the peanuts and blackberry lemonade and the servers. At least my $ 42 meal(no liquor) for just myself wasn’t a total loss, but I expected more. Unless they start living up to Roadhouse Grill food quality standards and personally assure me of it(you see my name right on the review), I won’t be back. Update: management apparently doesn’t give a damn. I gave an honest review and heard nothing but crickets.

We were a table of four. Three ordered the prime rib and baby back ribs, one ordered the chicken and baby back ribs. Three chili soups, one salad, one veggie skewer and three baked potatoes. The food was amazing. The problem with this place isn’t the food it’s the service. Our waitress Danine, was horrible. She rolled her eyes when we would ask her for anything. She deliberately ignored us when we tried to get her attention for drink refills. We even asked another waitress to get her attention for us. She looked at our table and walked away. Its a shame, we have previously been here and our experience was spectacular. From what I have gathered from previous reviews is that although the food is really well made the service is what turns people off. I am willing to come back and give this place another go hopefully our next waitress or waiter will be a bit happier with their job.

Every time we go here, I always regret it mid-meal. Really, the only thing I like now is the Texas Eggrolls. Everything else I could take or leave. The servers always seem distracted or busy somewhere else.

We decided to go here and it was a HUGE mistake… the entire experience was BAD… the wait however was understandable… Huge party, hour and half wait, no biggee Horrible service, horrible experience, will be calling the manager and corporate today or Monday… after reading all the recent bad Unilocal reviews I can only believe they exist due to the over flow crowd from the restaurant next door… bottom line if your service, food and experience are all bad the restaurant has big internal issues

Good food, except my friend did not like the catfish and the waitress was so nice to replace it with the Mahi mahi, thank you Colleen for doing that for us, u were awesome, I will definitely come back again to this place. The manager Noël came out also to check on us, thank you both.

Stop here on the way home from wine country service was fine meal was just ok. My rib I was just a little more fatter than I would have liked. At my wife’s take at the least 40% fat. The three stars is for the great service we got from our waitress.

At the Roadhouse having dinner. There was no waiting for a table we entered the restaurant and we were seated right away. We ordered a starter to share. Boneless chicken wings, half were b-b-q and the other half were spic they were delicious. We ordered create your own in which we got the tri-tip the b-b-q chicken breast and for our 2 sides we had salad and a bake potato. All so we had warm rolls and butter. Our server Desiree was excellent. Desiree checked on us often and brought our meal right away, she has a beautiful smile. Thank you Desiree. Diana Ulmer

I Really use to like this place. But, lately I have no idea WTF is going on around here. The service is SOOOOO slow. I mean WOW ! We went for a small dinner and a few drinks. Tell me why the server took so long and there were less than 50 people in the place but it took 40– 50 minutes for and appetizer, I was so scared to order real food cause of the wait. Sorry guys, I can’t go back. I let is slide 2 times, in October it happen, in November it happen. but now. Gezz get it together…

Worst service in years of any establishment. The server was verbally combative and wanted to argue over things instead of doing something as simple as providing service in the form of basic resolutions. The issue is systemic as she approached her manager prior to delivering her«service» disguised as a «I know im right and I dont care what you think» attitude. If the food was great then maybe I could put up with to-go, but with this business being 20 ft from a REAL bbq place, Lucilles BBQ, please do not ever waste your time here. The food is sub par, the service is downright awful. Only go here if you are planning on having a really nice evening ruined by immature staff members.

Only 1 star because I can’t put zero. The restaurant wasn’t even crowded, it took 30 min to get a refill of my drink. The food was warm not even hot. Took over an hour to get the food, don’t go hungry you’ll die of starvation. Don’t even complain to the manager Carlos he has no management skills, he didn’t even seem to care about our concerns. Then Keisha the waitress tried to make an excuse about how busy it was when we first got there, don’t make excuses get some help. So disappointed about this experience

My first and LAST visit. It all started today 01÷01÷16 when we entered the restaurant around 3pmish and no one was at the front counter for at least 10 min, finally someone runs over and tells us we will have a 20min wait, BUT the restaurant is almost empty? Did someone call in sick? We headed to the bar to take advantage of the happy hour. It took our food 45 min to arrive? When you see the bartender taking orders at the tables while mixing drinks that should be your sign to run next door to Lucile restaurant next door. Better food, ribs, service. I guess the manager at road house saw the issues with his team and gave us a $ 10 discount off of the bill. Whoever did the schedule or called in sick just hurt the days profit/margin budget forecast. Moving forward good luck!

Roadhouse was very misleading. With a name like that I thought a Patrick Swayze look-alike was gonna be at the door waiting for me to come in. The floor was very dirty there was peanuts everywhere. It’s not that hard to pick up a broom and sweep up the place. I even saw a woman almost fall to the ground because she slipped on some peanuts. The whole experience was just so bad right from the start. They didn’t even have my favorite beer, Sculpin, it is inhumane to not have that heavenly drink. When it came down to the food, I had the Roadhouse BLT with fries and clam chowder. The clam chowder was the saving grace of the whole meal. Everything else was mediocre at best. The fries was cold and undercooked and the bacon didn’t really have that much flavor. This meal was so disappointing that it felt like someone spoon fed me a big pile of shit. I didn’t even bother using my chloroform pick up line on the waitress. That’s how bad my dining experience was. Never gonna recommend this place to anyone.

Late Dinner Lastnight… Half BBQ Chicken, Loaded Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Cole Slaw. The food was great. I wanted seconds… lol, but the reason I only gave 4 stars was do to the fact that we had to asked to be served after have been seated for over 10 — 15 mins. A waitress from another section had to come over to take our orders and took good care of of us from there on out after being ignored by the waiter whos section we were in… smh

I remember loving this place when I was a kid. Throwing peanut shells on the floor was just so much fun. However, my last dining experience was at most average. The salmon was delicious and well prepared. I ordered the porterhouse. It was positively bland. I lurched for A1 sauce – something that I would never do at most steakhouses. The rolls are light and delicious. I find the butter too sweet but the rest of my party loved it. My friend ordered the prime rib medium. It arrived blue. They were nice about the re-fire but I cannot believe that they even served it that way to begin. Another friend had the chicken but it was dry and overcooked. The service was attentive.

I’ve been here before so I knew what to expect so I thought but I was NOT prepared for what I got. I was on my way to FINALLY see the DINO movie in 3D. We have about hour and a half of time to kill and we were hungry so we decided to eat here. The first GREAT thing was there was no waiting. The place was practically empty yet we still had a 5 min wait when I could CLEARLYSEESEVERALEMPTY tables and booths, as well as servers gathered and chatting because there was NOT enough customers. Ding, ding, ding 5 mins up and we were seated. Still scratching my head on why we had to wait. We are given menus and our server came over to take our drink order. We seem to be off to a good start. She brings back our drinks and a basket of rolls with butter. Then she disappears like a fart in the wind with time steadily ticking by. We were not yet alarmed because like I stated before we had about an hour and a half BEFORE our movie started! She finally appeared from the back like magic to finally take our order. I ordered a salad with BBQ chicken on top, someone ordered a burger and another person ordered a pork chop. And this is where EVERYTHINGWENTHORRIBLEWRONG! We chatted, laughed and talked and then realized about 40 mins had passed by and wildly flagged down our server to find out WHAT was going on! Why was it taking 40 mins to cook a pork chop, a piece of chicken, and a burger when the place was PRACTLYEMPTY! There was NOWAYIN H*LL it should take that long. She goes back to find out. Tick, tick, tick now 60 mins plus later and STILLNOFOOD! I’M DONE, I’M HOT, and NOW I’M HANGRY! BRING the check we are leaving. We will pay for our drinks and we are out! They must have finished killing and skinning the cow and chicken for our food because as we were getting up from the table over a hour later our server was bring out our food! OHHELLZNO! We told her were where leaving and we didn’t want the food and we would pay for out drinks. THEN she had to get the manager to separate the food off the bill, tick, tick, tick ANOTHER15 mins. Am I being PUNK’D or something! The ONLY and I do MEANONLYSAVINGGRACE was the manager waved our entire bill! I WASSOANNOYED not to mention PISSED! How can a restaurant be OPEN and EMPTY and it take upward of 60 plus minutes to get some FRICKINFOOD! NO wonder there is ALWAYS A LINE and a WAITHERE! Thanks to them we nearly missed the beginning of the movie. Thank the LAWD for the 90 mins of new movie previews they like to show. We ended up eating some HORRIDMOVIE theater food filled with salt and sugar enough to put you in a diabetic comma. NEVAAGAIN!

Came here for my sister’s birthday as a family. We all ordered and waited for our food. Not that long after it came but a couple of our orders were incorrect. They didn’t make a huge deal and fixed what needed fixing. Brushing that aside, one of the members of our party didn’t get their plate at all. The sad part being that their order was taken first. At the end of our meal when all of us nearly finished, that’s when they brought out the plate that was lost somehow while our order was being taken. It could have bene worse but this experience won’t discourage me from going back. They seem to try their best to correct any mistakes. Maybe it was just one of those day. Giving them the benefit, I’ll be sure to go again and hope to add a star or two. Their food was good and their strawberry lemonade is spot on. Had to track our waitress a lot for refills but thats okay. Service is the only thing that needs a boost.

This place is just next to Lucille’s, which is always over-crowded, loud, no parking, etc. So we have been coming here. Relaxed Atmosphere, friendly Staff, great Food, great Drinks! Eat your peanuts and drop the shells on the Floor, lol! I usually come here during Happy Hour and hang in the Bar Area. The Bar tender is the coolest Guy you will ever meet. He will actually remember you if you come here every other week, that surprised me. I could go on and on about the Food, but it is really all great. You got to give it a try. Forget about Lucille’s and come over here. You won’t regret it.

Megan was the hostess. They seemed short staffed because later in the night we saw her bussing tables. She informed us it would be 40 minutes to an hour wait. While we were waiting, we noticed a lot of couples come in and then leave because they were told 40 mintues to an hour wait time. It’s too bad they were understaffed because they had plenty of empty tables. They lost a lot of business. While we were waiting, Megan called out four parties that did not answer(they must’ve left). So our one hour wait became 30 mins only. I understand that employees call sick and sometimes more than one does so in the same shift. When we arrived there was an ambulance leaving the restaurant, so who knows, maybe an employee was injured, which would also explain why they were short staffed. The one cool gimmick they have going for them is that you can throw your peanut shells on the floor. Our server Matt was friendly enough. It’s not his fault that they were out of prime rib. Bummer. So I got the New York steak. He mentioned clam chowder as one of the soups, so I ordered it. Then he said he wasn’t sure. I told him chili as my backup. They didn’t have clam chowder. Another bummer. These little things add up to form my total experience. –the food– Bucket of peanuts: I only ate some so I could throw the shells on the floor. Lol. Wifey’s all american burger: She let me have one bite, and it was splendid. The beef was juicy and flavorful. The burger was pretty damn good. Strawberry lemonade: Great. Very fresh and delightful. Bread: Great. Hot, soft, sweet, with great accompanying butter. The New York steak: Okay. Cooked perfectly medium rare in the middle. One end was more rare and the other end was more done. Must’ve been hot spots on the cooking surface. Was all right but under seasoned. I added table salt. Some of the rarer pieces were unchewable and I had to spit them out. For $ 19.99 I could’ve cooked a better steak myself. Chili: Awesome. Surprise of the night. I’m not much of a chili lover, but this chili was superb. Usually chili tastes like some cheap meat thrown into an overly salty broth. This chili was refined and perfectly seasoned, with a stunning depth of flavor. Baked potato: Standard. Nothing out of the ordinary. I was on the fence regarding the rating. 3.5 is what I would put if I could. So I’m rounding down for the overall experience. Some of the food was great, but the disappointment of no prime rib, no clam chowder, and mediocre steak proved to be too much to overcome a 3 star rating. The bread and chili were the best parts. Had it been reversed(great steak with mediocre sides) I may have given 4 stars.
