This was dinner for my last night in Orange County. I had the boneless Ribeye, cooked med rare, with blue cheese, mushrooms and fried onions. The steak came out cooked to perfection. I got the homemade macaroni and cheese and garlic mashed for sides. Both were great. My customer for the 8oz filet. His meal was cooked perfectly and he had zero complaints. At the end the owner Art, came over and brought us a piece of his homemade cheesecake. As you can see from the picture it is prepared to perfection. It had a great taste. Was very moist and had a great taste. The restaurant itself is very nice. There is plenty of seating for large groups, or just a nice date night out with your better half. They have soft music playing in the background and it’s not too loud. Since the last time that I came to this restaurant there has been some renovation done and the place looks great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant anytime you are in the Orange County area.

This place is horrible. Do not eat their food or purchase their Groupon. The food is usually burnt to a crisp, the owner is a jerk and again the food is horrible. Thanks for nothing Maderas. Close your doors and leave Los Al

Went to celebrate a retirement. We sat in the back. the inside is nicely done up, there are booths around the perimeter, with tables in the middle… like a center courtyard with tables, little lights on strings and the sky painted on the ceiling. The carpet had a mild odor to it… still don’t know why restaurants use carpet… sure it’s cheaper initially, but it wears out fast, and eventually stinks. I had some sort of roasted chicken lunch special. i didn’t think there was anything special about my food. The waitress was nice, and everyone else seemed to really like their food(?) I had a dessert that had cake and ice cream. If i had gone by myself, i would give 3 stars… but everyone else seemed to really like the experience, so I’m going with 4 stars.

Tried this place for the first time with a groupon. We chose the beef ribs and the tri tip option. The beef ribs was glazed in bbq sauce. I’m a huge fan of beef ribs and these ribs were pretty good. Not the best quality beef ribs out there but hey you get what you pay. With that being said, the meats here are very affordable. They’re not super expensive. The sides I chose were fries and garlic mashed potatoes. They were fine. The staff were quick to get us seated. Our server was constantly checking on us which I really appreciate. She made sure to explain how our groupon worked and she offered suggestions on sides when we weren’t sure what we wanted to get. Not sure if I’d come back here though because I love good meat.

Superb food Had dinner here on hubby’s birthday. He enjoyed and loved the tri-tip that melts in his mouth while I devoured on the super tender baby back ribs, delicious side dishes corn fritters and Mac n cheese. Gina our server is very friendly. Nice ambience too. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends

The Babes surprised us with an early dinner today at Maderas Steakhouse; he discovered this place on Groupon — Dinner for 4 for $ 136, included 2 Appetizers, 4 glasses of wine, choice of Ribs(Babybacks, St Louis or Beef) or TriTips *Groupon says you can substitute for Chicken but there is NO substitutions * 8 sides and 2 Banana Fosters. We ordered our wines, each trying a different one to see what we actually liked. Gina, our Awesome waitress, said to choose whichever wine we would like to try. The wines were superb(Cab: Joel Gott 815 and Josh Black Label North Coast — man this wine was absolutely delicious! * Merlot: Santa Ema Cachapoal Chile and Bonterra Mendocino County — Both were good) Next we or your appetizers, Gina again said choose any 2, whatever combo, whichever ones, it didn’t matter so we got the Combo Platter which comes with a half brick of onions, buffalo wings, tortilla chips and guacamole. Huge! And we also ordered the Thai Chili wings… This was my fav, so tasty! For dinner I ordered the TriTip with Au Jus, garlic string beans and sweet mashed potatoes. I couldn’t wait for everyone else, I started eating as soon as my plate hit the table. The TriTip! Sooo tender, I used my fork, no need for a knife and they give you soooo much. I ate about 6 – 7 slices and took about as many home. Woohoo! Lunch for work tomorrow! The Babes ordered the TriTip also with the garlic spinach with feta cheese with sautéed veggies. The spinach was delicious, good job… The veggies were just ok. Mom ordered the beef ribs, her plate looked like Fred Flinstone’s, I thought the table was going to tip over. She said they were tender and delish. She also had the spinach with the dirty rice. I tasted the rice, seasoned well, very tasty. Dad had the TriTip, baked potato and macaroni and cheese. I never saw the potato, I guess that means it was good. I did task his macaroni and cheese, very cheesy and tasty. Lastly, the Babes and I ordered a cup of coffee to go with our banana foster. We almost finished our coffee before our dessert came but it was well worth the wait. They used plantains instead of bananas… Yummmm! No we didn’t eat all our food. Well, mom and I didn’t Our waitress was Awesome, she took the time to explain the menu, answer our questions and was just downright courteous. The only reason we did not give them five stars is because our food was never really Hot, except for the macaroni and cheese. I like Hot food but, regardless, I think we got a deal of a lifetime

When I first arrived my server Paige was awesome. She was the best. I was seated and she was super friendly and was very knowledgeable of the menu and was honest and through about each dish. We received our lunch and it was over the top delicious. I went with her recommendation and was in no way disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Would for sure go back again but only if Paige was my server. Awesome place to go for a delicious steak. I had the boneless RIb-Eye with the Spinach and Macaroni and Cheese. There was nothing left on my plate. Everything was delicious. It is definitely worth the price. It is not cheap but for sure worth it. Go at lunch time it is cheaper.

5 stars for the food! Our dinner tonight was yummy! I had the tri-tip, garlic mashed potatoes, and garlic & feta spinach. (I also had a glass of wine. Including a 20% tip, my total was $ 37. Not cheap, but SO good!) The only issue we had was that they lost our reservation, but we only had to wait about 15mins. The drink service was a little slow, but the waitress was nice. Overall, we were happy! I’m craving what I had already! Will definitely be back!

The food here is fabulous! Me, my boyfriend, and my other two friends came here for a casual Sunday dinner last night and we all loved our entrees. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip. Then the waitress brought over their sourdough bread w/butter which was also very tasty. Than last our entrees which we all had a steak and two sides. The sides are very generous and huge ! There are some things I hope this restaurant really takes into consideration ! 1. She brought me a glass of water but no straw when I asked for one she replied«we are trying to cut back on straws I didn’t forget I’ll bring you one now«like what was that about just bring the straw ! 2. My boyfriend ordered his steak medium well but it was brought to him medium rare. So bloody could not deal! 3. I asked for a refill of my water, never got it! I guess I’ll buy some thing to drink on the way home –_– and everyone else who purchased a non — alcoholic beverage had to ask for a refill. It’s like she only cared about the alcholic drinks to boost her«sales» The food is good but the service is seriously lacking and that’s why I can’t give any more stars than 3. Felt neglected and unwanted almost! Please maderas please work on teaching some customer services courses.

Will surely return. Oops, almost forgot, had a banana foster that made my jaw, drop! Delicious! ! The servers were friendly… I’m glad we came here…

My family of 10 went there for a Christmas dinner. The place was packed and our server handled us and other tables like a champ. Drinks were always topped off and the manager Art, always came by to check on us. This was our first time here and I was greatly impressed by the hospitality. Oh, and the food was hands down the best I’ve had in a while. I’m picky about my steak and my filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The cheese cake they offer is homemade and is better than any type of other cheese cake out there. My family said their peppercorn and mac’n cheese were awesome. We defiantly will be repeat customers.

I went here with my boyfriend using the Groupon deal: one appetizer, two entrees with two sides each, two cocktails, and one dessert to share. Wow, may I say wow? We started with the onion ring brick, which was huge and very good. for our cocktails, we both got a moscow mule, which was very in a huge copper mug, and tasted oh so perfect, and strong too! We got the ribs and tri tip, along with mashed potatoes, corn fritters, mac and cheese, and green beans as the sides. Wow… everything was delicious, especially the corn fritters and the TRITIP. The tri tip was cooked perfectly! For dessert, we got a bananas fosters which we couldn’t finish because it was just sooo much food. Service was great, the restaurant has a casual yet romantic feel to it(especially with the soppy music). Overall, we had a good time! The Groupon deal was too sweet, I definitely would recommend getting that if it’s still available!

My wife and I recently came here to try the Groupon deal for our anniversary. While ordering our meals the Groupon server had decided to act up and did not let me open the voucher. Not long after our drinks arrived. The owner of the restaurant came to our table letting us know that Groupon was down and he stated complaining about how he couldn’t bring us our means because he would lose money. He also mentioned that«he was already in the hole $ 30 because we recieved our drinks without them scanning our Groupon voucher.» Luckily within minutes of him complaining to us about how he was loosing money I was able to get my Groupon voucher. Goes to show that the owner of this place isn’t at all worried about customer service. Instead he’s worried about losing money. Oh and by the way the food was subpar cold and bland. next time I’ll just go to Lucille’s at least I know that I’ll be getting custimer service and Tasty food.

I wanted to take the babe man to a nice dinner so I came across a Groupon voucher for this restaurant. $ 68.00 for: Dinner for two, one appetizer, two ½ slab ribs or tri-tips, four sides, one bananas foster, and two glasses of wine. Let me start off by telling you that the portions were big. As the appetizer we went with their spinach dip, bomb! For the main dish we both decided to go with the tri-tip. As my sides, I went with the baked potato(obviously, lol) and their mac and cheese. The babe man went with the mac and cheese along with their sweet potato fries. EVERYTHING was delicious! The tri-tip was just to sweet, tender and juicy. The mac and cheese were extremely cheesy, just how we like them. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy and the baked potato was just great. By this time, we were so full that we couldn’t have dessert. The total of the bill was more than $ 100.00, thank God for great deals… but I definitely want to go back to try their steaks. Their customer service was beyond great. Everyone was so friendly and extremely attentive. The owner goes around each table and introduces himself. I thought that was a great touch.

Casual or romantic, dinner or dessert, cheat meal or post-gym gains– Maderas can satisfy any hungry family or a wild Tricia M. You will literally see me here every weekend night enjoying a late-night meal, grubbing on either all of the salads, desserts, and sides– all at once. Not only will Maderas live up to its namesake with their signature steak, ribs, and tri-tip, but you can’t go wrong with their fish dishes(yummy Thai salmon), Mexican dishes, and appetizers. Meat lovers, pescatarians, vegans, and sweet-tooths can finally eat together in harmony. Make sure to come with a huge appetite, cause no matter if you order an appetizer or entrée or dessert, the portions are gonna be huge. All the employees here are always friendly and excited to serve you, and Art the owner is always walking around getting to know the customers. Great service is always the icing on top of a great meal! Speaking of icing, make sure to finish the meal with the cheesecake or bananas foster… SOGOOD! I just ate a whole one tonight… Hurts. so. good… Great service, great food, great people. Looks like they’ve always got a Groupon deal going on too, so make sure to look that up. Can’t wait to be back next weekend!

Maderas(now steakhouse) is a nice place to go to for a nice rack of ribs or a steak. I came here with my aunt to celebrate a birthday, and she got the full rack with mac n cheese, and the cream corn poppers(we shared) and I got the chicken tacos with a side of dirty rice and black beans. The ribs were to die for! They had the perfect amount of sauce and were so tender and juicy. The man n cheese and the poppers were equally as good. The tacos were pretty good, pretty standard(kicking myself in the butt for getting them) but the rice and black beans were fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend getting the potato soup. For drinks, they don’t much of a selection. I got the pomegranate martini, and it almost tasted watered down and seemed a bit weak. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t the best. As for the cheesecake? Everything I hoped for and more! It was so light and fluffy, and had the best strawberry sauce. The service was also superb. Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful, and towards the end of our dinner, the owner was walking around making conversation with everyone, which makes this place really stand out to me.

Me and my girlfriend came here on a Saturday to celebrate her promotion at work around 730pm. We didn’t have any reservations made but were sat right away. The waitress was very helpful and the food was really good, I got the burger and she got the vegan ribs, I love meat but after trying her ribs I was regretting not getting them too, they were really good. The food was good, the live music was good as well, will definitely be coming back

Maderas is the classic date night escape. Live music, but with the dimmed lights, and restaurant set up, it has more of a genuine feel. The manager/owner makes the rounds to discuss the meat and history of the restaurant, and makes just enough small talk to make you feel like a regular. On to the meal. Maderas’ steaks are PHENOMENAL. Tender, juicy, moist all the steak descriptions apply here. You definitely taste the quality of meat. The sides that go along with it are equally as good. I went all out and had a carb party with the macaroni and cheese, along with the garlic mashed potatoes. The sides were delicious. This place is perfect to bring a date, or have an intimate dinner with family.

So the meateater BF says«I always take you to vegan restaurants. When will you take me to a steak house?» Enter Maderas Steak & Ribs. The exterior was under remodeling the evening we decided to check out Maderas. So I wasn’t expecting a romantic atmosphere indoors with it’s dark wooden furniture, painted sky ceiling, ambient string lights, and a live performance by a singer accompanied by an acoustic guitar. So what does a vegan eat at a steak and rib house? Two words: Vegan Ribs. This place definitely gets points for having a Vegan/Vegetarian menu! Be aware that vegans may still need to do a bit of research as the menu doesn’t always mark which items are vegan and which ones aren’t. Such as several of the sides. I was really hoping that the Roasted Garlic Spinach would be vegan.(Spoiler alert: they’re not.) But I was very happy with my Garlic Seared Green Beans and Sweet Potato Fries. Which brings me to the service. I really gotta give props to our server who knew the Vegan/Vegetarian menu inside and out! Any questions that I had, she had the answers to. I was thoroughly impressed by her knowledge of ingredients and how the items are cooked. She saved me a lot of time by knowing exactly what is vegan. If I could remember her name, I would be mentioning it here with the hopes that management reads this and offers her a raise for being so awesome! We made sure to tip her well :) One important thing to note is that my Vegan Ribs accidentally had about three teeny-tiny pieces of cheese on there as if it accidentally fell on my plate in the plating process. I’m not the type of person who will get upset over teeny-tiny pieces of cheese. It’s not gonna kill me. But for those who have serious dairy allergies, this could be a concern. Other than that, my meal was pretty legit. The full rack of Vegan Ribs, which equals 4 soy riblets, was definitely more than enough food!(Note to self: Order the ½ rack next time.) The soy riblets isn’t necessarily something I’d go out of my way for but I was grateful to have that option and I wouldn’t mind eating it again. The BBQ sauce is really tasty and that’s what truly makes the Vegan Ribs flavorful. I also must mention how amazing their guacamole is! …and their salsa! Be aware that looks can be deceiving. The guac comes in a large bowl but two-thirds of the way down, we hit a bed of lettuce. Why not just serve it in a smaller bowl??? Ok fine, I still ate the lettuce. A good vegan doesn’t waste perfectly good veggies! :) Overall, I’m a fan. The meateater BF got his meaty ribs, I got my vegan ribs, and the world is a much happier place when vegans and meateaters can dine together :)
