There are a lot of disappointing Indian restaurants in CA. Natraj Cuisine of India stands out by being consistent each time I go. The biryani is awesome. Service is slack considering it is a high-end restaurant– much waving is needed to get attention. Prices are above average for what you’re getting but the location and nice ambience make it reasonable value by CA standards.

Best Indian food and the BEST service! Their lunch buffet is a great price and has a good variety but I prefer to order the chicken tikka masala. The rice pudding is a wonderful dessert!

The family that runs this restaurant is very friendly and always make us feel welcome. The food is excellent. Our favorite is the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan.

I would start out by saying that the food was good here. However, I’m taking out the stars because it started out pretty badly. The servers were lousy and didn’t acknowledge for almost 15 mins that we were waiting to be seated. After informing them about it, they asked us to wait for a few more minutes(in a rude tone). Anyway, as we were about to leave the place, they seated us, finally! The food was good and so I gave them the rating I did.

I recently started loving Indian food. I found myself craving it really badly today, but I’m back home in Oceanside. My friend and I came here for dinner. They had s special posted outside their restaurant with a dinner special for 2. It consisted of chicken tandoori, choice of dish, choice of vegetable dish and naan or garlic naan. We chose the chicken tiki masala and a vegetable dish that was in curry– Can’t remember the name of it– and garlic naan of course! Chicken tiki masala was delicious of course. The chicken tandoori was a little dry. The sauces that they give you helped with the dryness though. The veggies in curry was good too, but my favorite dish was the chicken tiki masala of course. Can’t wait to go back to long beach so I can get more!

In town for a few day & been craving some good Indian food; this place is DELICIOUS! Got the shrimp vindaloo, garlic naan & a mango lassi. I got the vindaloo on the spicy side, which is not for the faint of heart, but if you’re a spice lover, its a must! It also comes with a side of yogurt & rice, which was very much appreciated =)

I used to go here once or twice a week but moved away for a few years. Now that I’m back it will be a regular stop again. The food and service are both excellent. It’s a family-run restaurant and they’re very welcoming. Chicken Tikka Masla, saag paneer, and garlic naan… I could eat that every night. I just tried the Channa Masala and it was excellent as well. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Wonderful garlic naan and chicken vindaloo. I was bummed at first that samosas were not on the buffet menu but everything was so good I didn’t miss it at all.

Literally addicted… It is so hard to find good Indian food around here! This place has me coming back 2 sometimes 3 days a week. The staff is so kind I always order takeout and they always accommodate my take out orders perfectly!

If you feel like eating something different, quick and yummy… We highly recommend this place. I can’t say enough about this place. Delicious! Lots of food, Good flavors, Great atmosphere, clean, recently remodeled, not to expensive. Ask for their garlic bread is so good as well as the rest of their food. They have lunch buffet every weekday and on weekends they do too for a couple of dollars extra you get unlimited mimosas. I’ve been here several times and the owners and their young daughter, are so attentive and so nice. They make you feel like family. We give this place 5 stars but they deserve 10! Two thumbs up!

As far as Indian food goes, look no further. This family owned restaurant takes the utmost care in preparing authentic Indian dishes. Exotic flavors and friendly service await you at Natraj. The owner almost always greets and seats us. It’s always a pleasure to come here and has become one of our favorite places to eat. Located in the middle of Belmont Shore on 2nd st. It’s easy to find. They feature a Sunday brunch that has a very nice selection and is a great option if you want to sample the many different dishes that are freshly prepare. Chana Masala, chicken vindaloo and garlic nan are only few of the many dishes I crave when thinking about this place. Trust me! Don’t bother looking for a better place. You won’t find it. Not even in little India on Pioneer and that’s saying a lot! Damn! I wanna go there just thinking about it. Yum.

This is my go to spot when I’m craving delicious Indian food. The service is always excellent with very friendly staff. The food is delicious! Chicken Tikka Masala, Channa Masala, spinach, dal, samosas and so much more… All so delicious! Flavors are always on point and they get the spice exactly the way you want it. I’ve come here several times and I’m never disappointed. I highly recommend this place!

I don’t know how to describe this Indian Restaurant cause it really impressed me. First of all, its a family owned/local restaurant in Long Beach so that made it special. The owner’s whole family literally put time and effort to serve their good food. Second, my girl and I met the owner and the owner’s wife and daughter. They are very humble and polite servers. They treat you really special that makes it great to eat here. Third, and the best part… Is the their delicious foooood! Their food is so specially prepared that you can taste the love in it. My girlfriend and I always go to their lunch buffet from 11am to 2pm cause it’s addicting and affordable. So why not lol. They will first serve you with their naan bread that it is so crispy and fluffy in the inside, it melts in your mouth. Their chicken makhani is sweet and flavorful that you can taste every spice in it. Their tandoori chicken is so warm and juicy, it’s superb. My girlfriend love their Indian rice pudding and I cannot see why not since it’s refreshing after eating all those spice base dishes. Their little dumpling samosas are good with the tamarin sauce as well. I like one of their desserts that I don’t remembered the name. It is orange and cool when you taste it. Though they don’t offer a lot of different kind of dishes at their lunch buffet; they make it up with the quality that they served. This is definitely my girlfriend and I’s go-to spot to grab Indian food :)

My husband loves this place but I think its just ok. I’ve had much better indian food than this place. It’s cheap, and pretty mediocre. The bathrooms are disgusting. makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. Do yourself a favor and drive to Himalayan grill in sunset beach. They are 10x better and much cleaner.

$ 8.95 for lunch buffet! It’s small but a real treat. I’m not a regular but have been here a few times and they are consistent. Workers are on top of their game, always refilling our water glasses even if only half empty and taking empty plates out of our way. I just found out they have $ 12 buffet brunch with bottomless champagne! I’ll definitely be back for that. I love the area its in, too. Walk around to burn off some calories and you’ll liking find something you like.

Clean, polite employees, and reasonably priced food was excellent! I went on a Saturday afternoon and they had a buffet set up. It was small but flavorful and had a variety of dishes that I enjoyed. Definitely will be a regular here!

Been wanting to try this place since I don’t know how long, but my friends suck and no one wanted to try this place with me until 2÷3÷15YES!(Ps JK on the suck part love you guys if you’re reading this!) Food– my friend and I both had the lunch buffet that went for $ 8.95 a person. This includes Naan bread of your choice, original or garlic. I was very surprised at the amount of food they had available. There were options that catered to those that are carnivores like myself or that preferred the vegetarian route. All selections were very flavorful for the most part. The only thing I was bummed about was the Tandoori Chicken. I’m used to eating indian food that is home made so the Tandoori Chicken is normally full or flavor and spices, but here their Tandoori Chicken was very bland. The chicken itself is tender but just didn’t have nearly enough flavor as I would like. Also I ordered Samosas off the menu and they fell short as well. The insides of the Samosa were vey dry and over cooked, wouldn’t order them again. Staff is very nice and attentive. Cook came out to see how everything was and made sure that the buffet was always fully stocked even down to the last 20 minutes of the restaurant being open he was still coming out and refilling the buffet options and making sure everyone had Naan bread in their baskets still. Tips– If you’re not sure what to try or you’re new to indian food definitely try their Buffet menu, this way you get to try a little bit of everything and find out what you like and don’t like. Parking can be challenging and there are meters available but if you park in the neighborhoods its free.

I always wanted to try the lunch buffet here for a long time since I live in Belmont Shore. But since I work during the day, I’ve never been able to try it. Since I wasn’t able to go home for the holidays, I wanted to look for a place to go to for lunch. Most of the restaurants on 2nd Street were closed with the exception of Natraj and a few others, so of course I had to try it! The lunch buffet is $ 9, and although had a low variety of dishes, everything was pretty tasty. My favorite was the chicken curry and tandoori chicken. There were a few other chicken dishes as well. I went after my work out, so I totally protein loaded on all that chicken. $ 9 for all that protein makes me a very happy girl. I was definitely happy with all of the protein available. Yum yum yum. However, I had some rice pudding afterwards. Shortly after that, my tummy starting hurting. I don’t know if my stomach was weak or if there was something up with the pudding, but I’ll need to take one star off for that. I would definitely come to Natraj again. Good food, great price, friendly service. The value is exceptional especially for the Belmont Shore area. I’ll try to go for dinner some time too. I highly recommend the tandoori chicken, but will forego the rice pudding next time!

The perfect date spot if you and your significant other loves Indian food I went here with my sister for a dinner on a Sunday at 8:30pm and was seated immediately. We shared a Palak Paneer, Paneer Masala, side salad, and garlic naan. Our palak paneer and paneer masala came with rice. Both were flavorful and delicious. My favorite was the paneer masala which had a sweet buttery taste to it. Yum! I liked that both were not too salty compared to other places. The side salad came with a yogurt dressing. It was nothing special. The garlic naan was also typical tasting. Although the portions looked small, we left stuffed and still had about half of everything to take home. Our total was about $ 30(without tip). All entrees were about $ 11-$ 20 each. The service was good, although we got annoyed because they checked on us 982374923 times. For sure at least once per minute. The inside of the restaurant is small but intimate. We sat outside in front and enjoyed people watching as we ate. We also like the dim lights and candles. We were surrounded by dates. Besides their dinner menu, they also offer Sunday buffet brunch for $ 12 and lunch buffets on the weekdays. We will probably come back again.
