THISLOCATIONGOESBELOW F.B. STANDARDSONQUANTITY — watch your meat portions! I knew there was a reason a groupon was offered for this newer location. After a visit on the weekend of 8÷22÷15, we noticed a customer ahead of us complaining about quantity. We noticed the worker was courteous and offered to accommodate the customer, but once the owner overheard that the employee was going to give more, the owner’s attitude and commentary to the employee was quite contrary. «WHO wants more cabbage?» The owner stated… we thought, wow, does it matter? Geesh, get a clue on customer service lady! It doesn’t matter if you are a franchise owner, you’re NOT the owner of F.B., and if you are the owner, shame on you for having that type of attitude, you won’t get far! Our 12 year old daughter immediately noticed the meat discrepancy in our order. She asked us if she could ask for more meat. I’m sure you already know the ending, so I’ll spare details. «NO»…sorry but you’ll have to pay more if you want more” was the owner’s response. WEKNOW the proportions at FB, and not only will we NOT pay more for what the standards are, but we will NOT patronize your location with that attitude! We’ve been going to other FB locations too long to know better! It’s such a great location, how sad! Unilocal yourself!

Waited 8 minutes for a bowl of rice, hardly any veggies and chicken and to top it off my food was barely warm. What’s the wait for and the food is cold and why overstuff rice. Not a good location. Chino hills is much better. Needs to improve on food quantity and temperature especially if u have customers waiting. And u don’t handle money and food without washing ur hands or using gloves. Ugh this place.

This was the quickest flame broiler I’ve ever been to. I came in for lunch and was surprised how quickly my food came out, especially since it was special order. The service was good, food was great and place was clean(even the restroom)

Today’s chicken bowl was a pathetic attempt. I actually believe the owner took my order. She was nice but it stopped there. The bowl is already 90% rice so I don’t want to hear how your not making a profit off a $ 6.95 rice sale. The chicken I received was less then the normal amount, and honesty nasty. A bunch of fat and bones. I love flame broiler and never had a problem with the chicken until today. I won’t be coming back to this location. Don’t be cheap, everyone can see it and you have now lost a local customer.

Had«The Works» bowl which includes chicken, beef and vegetables for $ 6.90. Very few vegetables. I purchased a Yoshinoya combo bowl for $ 5.69 several weeks ago and you get a lot, lot more for your money, especially the vegetables. BUT… Yoshinoyas are few and far between.

Very consistent with there food. Friendly staff. Always greet you with a smile. The place always clean. Self serve on the sauce red and green sauce and brown sauce. Today I ordered the chicken bowl(surprise surprise). I’m stuck on it, got veggies which are fresh and steamed, topped with onions. I also put red brown and green sauce. Live it.

I have always heard about this place but never tried it, I am now hooked! I have tried everything! I love the salad dressing they have on their salad so just wish you could get a side salad. Price is right for the quality and quantity. Staff is very helpful and place is clean.

The owner was extremely helpful in assisting me with choosing items and portions for a catering order. Food was hot and ready on time and everyone greatly enjoyed the food. Thank you! Kelly

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! It’s great food that’s simple and always nice to eat at. Add some of the hot sauce to any rice bowl… Perfection. Service here has always been friendly and extremely efficient. The only downfall is parking… But that has nothing to do with how good this restaurant is. I’d recommend this place to everyone.

I wish the ratings were broken down into different categories… Because the service has been great. We eat hear 1 or 2 times a week or the one by the traffic circle in Long Beach. My gripe is the ceiling fans being on high and the inconsistent cooking of «well Done». There is no reason for the fans to be on high in such a small seating area. They aren’t needed at all, the place seems cool in the summer. I have heard others say the same thing while sitting there. Who likes the fans blowing on them while your trying to eat? Today was worse, the chicken was COLD. How can something ordered well done be cold? I’m guessing they are pre cooking for a rush? Thats understandable but make sure its warmed up before serving. I hope its a different owner than the traffic circle one because the cooks are terrible there. Parking sucks but thats not the stores fault.

This location of Flame Broiler opened recently in a new dining plaza across the street from Boeing. This new building also houses a Starbucks coffee shop and a Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop. What prompted me to try this place was a set of coupons I received in the mail announcing its grand opening. The coupon I selected was a free chicken bowl with the purchase of either another bowl or a plate. This place wasn’t too hard to find. It looks like it’s part of the new Douglas Park development. I did notice immediately that since Starbucks was next to Flame Broiler, the parking lot was a little crowded and almost everyone was either sitting in front of Starbucks or entering/leaving there. I was expecting Flame Broiler to be busy as well, since I arrived during the lunch hour, around 12:30 p.m. Once I was inside, however, I saw that there was only one other customer waiting ahead of me. I was greeted by the lady working the cash register upon entering. Since this place is new, everything was clean and sparkling. I noticed that there weren’t very many tables inside, so I imagine most of their business is take-out. With the coupon I brought, I ended up ordering an Angus beef plate along with a(free) chicken bowl. You’re given the choice of brown or white rice(I always choose white) and also the choice of having chopped green onions added(I opted to leave them off). After I paid, I waited for my order to be prepared. In the meantime, I filled up four small cups with the«Magic Sauce,» which(I think) is like a teriyaki sauce. The cups came with snap-on lids to prevent spillage. About five minutes later, my order was ready. The Angus beef plate came with a cabbage salad topped with house sesame dressing and half an orange. The chicken bowl was diced chicken meat on top of a bed of white rice. The beef plate cost $ 7.70(before sales tax). The chicken bowl was free but normally would cost $ 6.00. The other choices for the bowls aside from chicken are the Angus beef, chicken veggie, Angus beef veggie, half and half(combo of chicken and beef) and The Works(combo of chicken, beef and steamed veggies). The service was fast and friendly. Once I got home, I had the beef plate and it was quite tasty. :-) The salad dressing for the side salad was delicious as well. My very first Unilocal review was for the Flame Broiler on Spring Street in Long Beach, and I didn’t give it a glowing review. This new one, however, was a HUGE step up in terms of service and food quality. I will definitely return.
