KFC

Went last night ordered the family meal side of Mac and mash w gravy. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting for hours. The Mac was like mush. And it got me sick! I have a cast iron stomach and this got me. Never again KFC TERRIBLE

My eight pieces of chicken barely filled a quarter of the bucket! Most of the pieces had very little chicken on them. This isn’t the first time this has happened at this location.

Wish I could give a half star. The service was horrible! Every person in there act as If they didn’t want to be there. But the worst was when I payed for my food and the customer after me happened to be a friend and they loaded her bag up with free food in front of me and I still got my food last. Then I finally got home only to see they used some different brand chicken strips like the frozen bag type you get from the store. I called them back and demanded my money! They said to come back tomorrow and they will give me the right chicken. Cmon!

Staff was friendly and food served quickly. It tasted just as I would expect from a KFC.

Wow, very disappointing. When we placed our order, they told us they were out of thighs. We substituted legs. When we got to the window, they told us they were out of biscuits. At that point, we just told them to forget it. What KFC runs out of biscuits AND thighs on the same night?

I wish I could give a half star. First of all, it must be pretty common knowledge that this KFC sucks now, when I first moved to Lompoc a decade ago it was always packed at night. Then they started doing stupid things like putting a first day person on the register, ALONE, with only one person doing the food, on a SATURDAY night, at DINNER TIME. Poor girl.
Then, they started nickel and dime things, like charging for a couple extra dipping sauce. C’mon, you get these in BULK. If a person wants like, ten more, yes, charge them. But when they only ask for two-​just give it to them-it’s good customer service, and that’s what brings them back.
Now, EVERY time I eat from there (or at least ⁹⁄₁₀ times), even after ordering fresh chicken, I get an upset stomach and am perched on the throne for hours. I’ve learned my lesson, I’m not going back. I don’t if it’s the quality of the ingredients or what, but I don’t have this problem with any other fast food place, even the real cheap ones… I used to love KFC, but now it doesn’t like me. So, we’re over.
One positive note, the last couple times, I dealt with very nice employees in the front-​the ones in the back looked miserable however. Something is not right there.

Twice in a row now, a month or so apart I’ve gone there around six in the evening and they have NO grilled chicken. Coincidence? I’m thinking not for some reason. This is the same outfit that years ago you would see promotions advertised on TV only to find out they are not honored here at the Lompoc store because we are off the beaten path and you have no other choice within 30 miles. Well, I do now.

One word… GROSS. I have eaten at KFC at other locations many times. The KFC in Lompoc is not good. The chicken was so greasy I couldn’t even eat one piece. The place was pretty busy when we went in, so you would think the chicken would be fresh, but it wasn’t. The skin was so greasy that I couldn’t eat it, so I took the skin off and the meat was dripping with grease. KFC Lompoc… never again!

Today, I give the KFC in Lompoc one star. When I asked for honey mustard with my boneless chicken, an employee in the back gave me attitude and told the girl giving me my food to not give me honey mustard. I had to argue just to get some… THEN they did not give me my drink. I didn’t realize until I had driven all the way back to base and wasn’t going to waste my gas for a two dollar drink. LASTLY, when we got home, the chicken was super dry, overcooked, and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. Literally the worst meal I’ve ever had (and I’ve eaten termites)! Never going back again.
