As soon as you walk in the door it was a cute atmosphere with Excellent service and delicious food. As long as you sit at the window you have a good view of some houses and the ocean. But if you want to come on a Wednesday you’ll be S.O.L. because they are closed. I would definitely go back again.

What a great place to eat! It’s quirkiness is a reflection of some pretty fun owners. It’s hard to tell from their website, but vegetarians should have no fear of eating here!(while that’s not particularly important to me, it’s vital for my daughter.) The special of the day was loco moco which typically would have been the wife’s go-to option. She was feeling like something not quite as heavy and choose something else. I was tempted to order one of the multiple hamburger options until I learned that they are just under a half pound. I’m not a big burger boy so I opted for the fried cod tacos with chipoltle sauce and chips + vegetarian chili + cheese on the side. The tacos were huge — so I opted for the combo fork to start and then pick up the remains to finish approach. Fresh, tasty, hot. Very nice. I am in the minority of people who are not big fans of beans of almost any variety and I wish I had asked for the vegetarian chili to be left off. It was tasty but not being a fan of beans made for a less than optimal experience. The wife had the half chowder and shrimp melt combo. She thought both were good, neither were stellar in an Oregon Coast context(which has a pretty high bar). The aforementioned daughter had one of the burger options with a veggie patty, covered in veggie chilli, cheese and sour cream with a side of fries. She was surprised she could eat it all but was happy to accomplish that(with her dad helping on the frieds — steak fries, thick, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, french fried perfection). I was very happy to see they have diet pepsi — and my glass never ran empty. Other veggie options — veggie nachos, mushroom gyro, veggie burgers, just about anything you like they will make as a vegetarian option for you. They have a plethora of fine sauces, I would have liked to try more than the one I did and will certainly plan on that as part of my next visit, which I’m sure to make. The only surprise was with a name like that, I was expecting one of their signature dishes to be some variation on Mac-and-cheese, but it looks like they don’t give in to the obvious here. The desserts sounded pretty dang good but we were all full with the food we had ordered. I would have appreciated a little more heat in the place — I think it was in the mid 40’s outside and mid 60’s in. All in all, a good place to go. Some of the tables are on the water which would be a plus if you’re there before dark.

We just ate breakfast here with 4 adults and 7 kids. They were very accommodating and the food was exactly what our unruly group needed. The owners have it dialed in and the chowder/bloody Mary’s were great. Thanks again.

My wife and I came over to to spend a couple days at Salishan and were looking for a new casual dining spot to try. We stopped here because of the good reviews and were not disappointed. The place is fairly unassuming but the staff is very friendly and attentive. There is an ocean view. The food is superb, assuming you didn’t come expecting 31 different fish on the fresh list. It isn’t that kind of place. Remember, I said casual dining. I had the halibut bites dinner. My wife had the blue cheese and bacon burger. It has a name — the burgers are all named after beaches — I just forget what it is. Anyhow, to the substance. For my fifteen bucks, I got a generous quantity of fish, well prepared. The fries were fresh, crispy outside and tender inside. The halibut also comes with cole slaw. I don’t generally care for cole slaw. If I say it was good, it usually means I ate a couple of bites. This was great. I ate it all and enjoyed it. Wife’s burger was likewise delicious. She let me taste. The meat was undoubtedly fresh and just patted. All the burgers were reasonable, in the $ 8-$ 10 range. Soft drinks were cheap at two bucks with refills. Macadangdang’s is on our list to return to whenever we’re in town.

Loved this place! Staying down the street on Christmas Day. They were open. Decided to try it and SO glad we did! Try the burgers you won’t be sorry.

Awesome food! Great service! Laid back atmosphere. Feels like your in Hawaii relaxing on the beach. Got the macadang burger and the fish tacos. Both were delicious! The onion rings are also very appetizing

The food is pretty decent, but a little pricy for what you get. Beer selection is good, but nothing is on tap. The atmosphere is cute but a little boring. If you get a seat by the window you’ll get a view and there’s outside seating for warm days. Biggest plusses: easy parking, it’s clean and the staff are nice! Biggest bummer: who charges $ 1.50 to sub tots for fries? That one surprised me. Over all pretty OK, but underwhelming.

Fact: The most friendly dude in the world owns a restaurant in Lincoln City. A buddy and I were in the area, doing some hiking and general outdoorsy stuff, and suddenly I found myself becoming violently hangry. In order to spare my friend from my bitchy ways, we made haste to the first casual restaurant to strike our fancy on the ol’ Unilocal App. We found ourselves in Macadangdang’s, and it was a pretty positive experience. First of all, the name is totally made up and ridiculous, so feel free to call it what you want. We somehow ended up with Micky Ding-Dong’s, which makes just about as much sense as whatever is on their liquor license. So, this place is pretty straight forward with bar food, albeit cooked fresh and super tasty. We started with the chicken nachos(with no black olives, b/c those things are an abomination), and whoa was the portion huge! There was a huge portion of meat, which is always welcome, and tons of all the other toppings, too. I was pleasantly surprised to see corn on my nachos. Such a good meal! We could have stopped there, but I’m a glutten, so nope. I ordered the namesake burger, which could be a cover photo for my autobiographic tell-all, «This Is Why I’m Fat.» This burger was topped with bacon, pulled pork, bbq sauce, coleslaw, and on the owner’s recommendation, pineapple rings. Oh, and fries on the side, because I’ve already given up, right? This burger was pretty tasty, and also a huge mess. Actually, I think a little too much was going on, as I was having a hard time identifying the actual burger. I was covered in sticky bbq sauce, and the bun had soaked through, and the next thing you know I’m eating this pile of delicious meat-slop with a fork and knife. So very good, but about 3000 calories more than I needed to ingest. The restaurant itself is super casual, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The owner himself was serving us. A couple of things I noticed: 1) He has the bluest eyes, ever. Paul Newman looks like dog crap compared to this dude. 2) He has a never-ending supply of dad jokes. So corny, but he manages to pull it off. 3) He clearly cares about making sure guests have a great experience, from the moment they walk in until they walk back out the door. I feel like good customer service is becoming more and more rare, so I appreciate that this guy has such a passion for his business. All in all, I would be happy to return here for another meal, if I were to find myself in Lincoln City. I’d probably just order something slightly lighter.

We liked the service – it’s a family owned business – very friendly. Food was great. I had the fish and chips and my mother had the clam chowder. I really loved the coleslaw – nicely dressed, fresh cabbage, carrots, and green onions.

Read the reviews on here and decided to give it a try. I’m glad we did. Nice little restaurant, the food was awesome and the owner was super nice and friendly. We went there for breakfast. Best breakfast we’ve had in Lincoln city. Highly recommended. Wanted to try dinner here but didn’t make it.

I suggest you read the good reviews and believe them. When I walked in to this place I was skeptical, it was small & I didn’t see a bar, but yes they serve liquor and the drinks are great! The food is amazing all fresh cooked. We were in town for the weekend and stopped here because the reviews were good. We had the burger with ham and pineapple & onion rings. Amazing! But yes, if you are in a rush I suggest you head for McDonalds because it may take an extra few minutes for your food to arrive especially if the place is packed. I met the owners who worked the day shift the next day… as we had to return for the clam chowder that they’d sold out of the night before. Everything was delicious and don’t forget to try the ranch dressing so full of dill and wonderful! We will be back on our next trip!

Excellent lunch with the fam! Drove up the coast, passing plenty of options for the 5 of us, and I’m glad we did, because we landed at Macadangdangs! It was nice to have a Kona and some fish tacos, which were excellent, and served with chili cheese tortilla chips — an excellent break from the fries I expected. Standard kids menu fare for my three, with some sea food options, too. The owner was super friendly, and made a great impression on my kids. Very relaxed vibe, and good classic tunes. Will definitely keep this on our radar as a dependable choice whenever we’re at the coast.

If you are debating which place to try, pick this one. We had seen some pretty good reviews for this place so we decided to give it a try. VERYPLEASED. The food was tasty and had the homemade quality I prefer. The fish and chips were far better than that found at other local establishments we had tried. Service was terrific and friendly … and prices were reasonable. We both wished we had found this place earlier in our trip. We would have gone back.

I don’t use the words best ever lightly — so I mean it. This place has great views of the beach and is right off 101. Service was quick and friendly and the menu offered something for everyone and has a decent beer selection. Often times a buffalo chicken salad means a salad with chicken dropped on and buffalo sauce drizzled… Not this time. You could choose grilled or breaded chicken and I could tell my grilled chicken was tossed in the sauce. Even better, the sauce had a great mix of bite and heat. My husband had the fish and chips and he said they were average — in the good way. Not bad, just good average fish and chips. This was a great stop and we might be back while we are in Lincoln City.

Stopped in here because we saw the breakfast sign out front. So glad we did! Be patient the wait is worth it. Very fresh and yummy! I ordered the crab Benedict even though I was wavering in the price… So glad I did. They don’t skimp on the crab and the sauce tasted home made. My boyfriend had an omelette and loved it as well. They grilled the veggies. Very friendly staff. Will be back next time I’m in town.

Just popped in after a movie about PCT. This is a landshark dive at best. It is brightly panted with a reef type setting. Yep Jimmy Buffett fans. That’s cool. One look at the menu it’s not very seafoody. They ran out of crab, ok. But everything else is breaded and deep fried. That’s not seafood. That’s fried breading. Yuk.

Absolutely fantastic! We had the chicken fried steak and a pancake. It was soooo good! The coffee is fantastic. Not your run of the mill weak diner coffee. I am so glad we decided to come here. My husband and I walked down from our hotel on a beautiful morning. The view is great and so was the hospitality. We will be back for sure!

Stopped in on a Monday morning about 11.30 after checking out of our hotel and found even though breakfast stopped at 11.30 they’d be happy to make us anything we’d desire. Door sign read that we wouldn’t find fast food but rather fresh food so we were sold to start with. :-) Cute table by the window with a view down to the beach and too many choices on the menu that had us drooling. Went with biscuits and gravy, half a ham Benedict and bacon, Swiss, peppers and tomatoes in an omelette. Every single dish was awesome and fresh. Often breakfast is greasy and heavy and this was anything but. Would go back to try the lunch and dinner menu but that will have to be another trip. Address is wrong if it reads on the north end of town as this place sits just south of the Christmas cottage with the Santa’s on the roof. Great service in a relaxed and friendly island type atmosphere.
