Roadhouse 101

We had great quick service and the meal was excellent. It was our 2^nd time in this restaurant and think its a must stop when visiting Lincoln City.

Try the fish and chips. woops I think I just posted for some other business. Three of had dinner here. One had the cod and I had the halibut fish and chips. They were fried perfect. The third meal was a top sirloin and it also was cooked to perfection. We will definitely try eating here again next time we are in Lincoln City.

Great food! Cant order regular menu in the bar. that was kind of a hassle, but our waitress was a rockstar (She looked like one, even!) & snuck us into a cute booth & the ribeye was wonderful. They had the band, The Strange Tones that played live that night & we were so happy to spend our Parents Weekend dinner there again.
Came back the next day & I had the cod sandwich (tartar sauce stole the show!) and the fish was so sweet — perfect. My bloody mary was just right. My husband had the reuben & just grunted with approving tones (always a good sign).
Best part was watching them hoist this lady up on the tire swing to attach her dollar to the ceiling while taking a shot & the whole place sang Happy Birthday.
Good job, guys!

We should have turned on our heels when the host showed up at the reservation desk with a toilet plunger in his hand. We didn’t, however, and have only ourselves to blame for ending up with terrible food (most of which went uneaten). Burgers with grease-​soggy buns, fries that were limp and undercooked, lettuce well past its prime. .. ugh! I’m getting queasy just writing this review.

People are way too hard on this place. Been here several times and went again today for lunch. I like to think I Unilocal «on a curve» so for a Lincoln City brew pup this place is a solid 4 stars. The beer is good although today mine was slightly flat, only place in LC that brews their own beer. The food is nothing amazing nor original, but still real good. Fish & chips are solid and the Reuben sandwich is surprisingly tasty. Love the atmosphere!

I like the roadhouse. Decent food and decent prices. Nice people too!
I wish they would carry some additional scotches but you can’t have everything. Johnny Walker Black would be a good start!

Always good food, decent service and great beer. Best pizza in town I might say! Even when they are busy the food is always great even if it takes a while to get to you. The pizza is my favorite, its fast and its a great portion to eat and take a little home for a snack. Since I’m a regular they give very personalized service.

DO NOT EAT HERE… Very disappointing, poor excuse for a restaurant. Waitstaff has no customer service skills… All we wanted was food, for lunch & TV for football. We are kind and understand patrons, we tip well and we are good to servers all the time, but even after I explained no cheese due to my allergy, our waiter tried to give me cheese not once BUT twice… Then he acted as if we were the problem. Called me a liar, said I ordered vinaigrette when I ordered Italian and wanted to argue with my husband about what I ordered… What ??? & Vinaigrette does not normally have cheese in it, does it??? Hello, customers are the reason you have a job.
DON’T ARGUE WITH CUSTOMERS THAT YOU’VE WRONGED.
My Sister in law and BF ordered the Halibut and chips, which comes with coleslaw, they were not even given silverware, or lemon or vinegar or anything for the food… When her BF asked for a soda, the waiter ignored him and acted as if he didn’t hear him.
HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS?
The Food was awful and the rude unprofessional Argumentative & stupid wait staff ruined my appetite anyways… the Manager comped the pizza, which was awful and not worth the wait and all the troubles anyways… Comped the salad I didn’t order but was left waiting for dressing for and then was given the wrong dressing with Cheese in it. & then was ruined once I poured it on and saw the cheese. He comped a beer to my husband who was so upset, the waiter was lucky he didn’t argue much more…
We felt as if they were actually trying to poison me…
Then they yelled from the back «EAT AT HOME»… Well, I hope everyone who reads this review does eat at home or somewhere else for sure, do not give this pathetic excuse of a business, your money for horrible food and worse service…

I would give this place zero stars if I could. We waited for service for over 15 minutes and both servers waiting tables wouldn’t even make eye contact. A table that got seated after us got service and even got drinks. At that point we just walked out. Worst service ever! Won’t ever go back.

We have been here each time we visit Lincoln City. Food is good, we love the laid back atmosphere. You can throw money on the ceiling. Large menu of beer, pizza and steak menu.

Few customers, long wait to be noticed so we could be seated, shortage of staff. Dirty table, food bits inside plastic covered menu. Long wait for server, long wait for food. Lackluster beer, «award-​winning» chowder is gross. Dueling sound systems creates meaningless noise. We love brewery restaurants, this one, not so much.

This place was absolutely terrible! My family of 4 entered the establishment at approximately 5:30pm the hostess at the front told us it would be a 30 minute wait. We put our name in and waited. After my husband went to the restroom he saw that there were numerous open tables in the restaurant so it didn’t seem to make a ton of sense, they had begun to inform new customers that the wait was over an hour.
We were seated right around 6pm and the hostess informed us our waiter would bring our water. We waited for 15 minutes before I got upset and asked a passing staff member if he could please get us waters. He rolled his eyes and walked away going into the kitchen and bringing out food for another table. Finally our waiter came and we placed our food and drink orders.
25 minutes passed and we were still waiting for the drinks to come to the table. So again I flagged down our waiter and asked if we could please get our drinks.
The beer was warm when it finally arrived. Very disappointing. The food finally came out and was very mediocre and we had no silverware. The waiter laughed and informed us it was his first day.
I asked for a manager to come to the table and 15 minutes later a guy came from the back and acted uninterested in the problems. He immediately offered to comp our drinks and wanted to send us on our way.
Like I told the poor waiter, good luck man and don’t take it personal. It really wasn’t his fault it was a busy Saturday night and he shouldn’t have had 5+ tables on his first night. It all boiled down to bad management!

So the food we ordered was decent except the «spinach artichoke dip»…that was disgusting! We waited about 15 – 20 minutes to get our waiter to come back so we could ask if we could send back the dip and get it off the bill because it was gross and to ask for the bill… he wasn’t coming so I went and asked for a manager… no one could find him… later come to find out the manager went to pick up an employee for their shift. So it sounds like they go out of the way for their employees, but could care less about their customers.

The food was not prepared correctly. Service was poor table was dirty. Staff was not very pleasant.
$$$ was alright. Never once got a refill. Place was not that busy. Come to find out when we needed to talk with a manager our waiter which is the owners son flipped out on us. WILL NEVER RETURN. Place won’t be in business much longer I’m sure.

Stopped in for dinner last night and sat at the bar. To be honest I thought I’d ended up on an episode of bar rescue. The bar tender looked and sounded like he should be wearing a pirate costume. His knowledge of the beers on tap was filled with inaccurate information. The steak I ordered was done correctly but the sides looked like freezer burnt and microwaved leftovers. None of it was above warm when it arrived.
I won’t be back. Second stop and both visits have been lackluster or worse.

Bad bar b que. I asked for a side of bar b que sauce, and they gave me some on the side, but drenched my brisket like I was eating soup, as if I insulted them by asking for a side. Doesn’t help that it was horrible sauce. Whatever the meat tastes like, I have no idea, it’s inedible. My baked beans and cole slaw came in the dressing cups and half way full. Posted a pic before I even took a bite. Maybe two swallows each. I paid over $ 15 bucks for this shit. Waited a half hour, and they were not busy. They just wanted to go home.

When we arrived, though they claim to be family friendly and have high chairs and booster seats, they rolled their eyes and acted as though seating us at a table and not a booth was a huge inconvenience. The restaurant was only half full. They did not offer crayons or activities for the kids, but as I looked later, there they were, right on the hostess counter. It was a very hot day at the beach, but we walked in to no air conditioning. My kiddo thanked the waitress twice for his water and she completely ignored him.
In addition, though this is a steakhouse, they don’t have baked potatoes. (?)
I will say that the ribeye was very tasty. But the service was so terrible I’d think twice about coming again.
Very unimpressed.

I should have checked this before eating this place. We ordered pizzas and ugh, not that great. I ordered regular pizza (pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and onion) and it was blah. No taste at all. I don’t recommend anyone to come. I was there for lunch and many tables were empty.
Also in men’s bathroom, they didn’t have enough paper towels. I had to leave with my hands wet.

Didn’t even get a chance to eat! Stopped here at 2:30 on a Sunday. Waited 5 minutes at the hostess stand — okay fine, a couple of us had to use the restroom. I stepped into the restaurant to try to catch the attention of a staff member but I didn’t see anyone! There were 2 bartenders behind an empty bar but no servers, bussers, or hosts to be found. Lots of empty tables, maybe 7 tables of less than 4 sitting. Finally someone comes over and tells us it will be about a 30 minute wait, they just had a lunch rush and the kitchen is backed up. My dad asks if we could just sit grab a seat and some drinks while the kitchen catches up, «no, see we just had a lunch rush and I can’t let you do that.» So we left.
If a restaurant is so short staffed on a Sunday that their «lunch rush» of 7 tables at 2:30 causes a 30 minute wait, management should consider scheduling more staff, asking bartenders to help out the rest of the serving staff, or hiring more competent servers.

Came to have a «good dinner» appetizer special was calamari, ordered it, consistency was fat rubberbands. Sent back. Entrees was a French dip (good) mine was sirloin Kabobs, with mixed rice and mixes vegetables. It was 1 sirloin Kabob that I swear was stew meat and a kabob of shrooms peppers and onions. The rice was way salty and had hard not rice pieces. The mixed vegetables had so much minced garlic that you could not taste the vegetables and vampires would be scared,
The waitress was friendly but never came to refill water glass. She asked where were we were going next, I told her «The Snug» she said «the drunk people go there» I told her «we like drunk people.» Roadhouse 101 and Rustytruck brewery has been more miss then hit. The Snug has been 100% always friendly, even to the Vally folk that only make it to the beach 1 or 2 times a month.
