This restaurant is closed! This restaurant is closed! This restaurant is closed! Unilocal wants me to say more before publishing, so this restaurant is closed as dead as Monty Python’s parrot! Shut down. Doors locked. Signs removed. And Unilocal did not know this.

Denny’s on 9th and I 35 is a great place for breakfast! Food quality is much improved from several years back. Waitresses(especially Torri) are friendly, attentive and make you feel welcomed. Fair prices and good food. If you haven’t been to Denny’s for awhile, give them another try and see for yourself.

The Food was disgusting… I got a simple hamburger, and it was dripping grease. It was completely DEAD during peak hours, I guess that should have been my first sign… I will never go back

It’s Denny’s, I know. But if you are staying in the hotel next door, and you want some takeout after a long day on the road, they will hook you up good, fast and cheap. The right tool for the job, etc.

We had not been for awhile. But we use to come right after work 6am when I use to work with roomie. All the staff remembered us and took turns doing something for our table. So I suppose we are kind of biased in that it feels like a Cheers where people know your name. The morning staff is friendly and attentive. The night shift has been pretty ok too. Food is typical Denny’s. Although I am drawn to the french toast, or garden salad and seasoned fries with ranch dressing. Yes, fries in the ranch is yummy. If you are hungry in the wee hours of a day and along the I-35 route. This is a decent spot to stop and get a good grub on.

What’s to say about Denny’s? It just is! Standard American diner fare, served 24 hours a day. Here in suburbia it’s a resource for us night owls who stay up late and need a food fix at weird hours! And they do have grits with breakfast, not so common here in Kansas City. This location is near I-35 and 95th St. Lenexa Drive is really the eastern frontage road of I-35, but this Denny’s is a bit hard to find. Heading east from I-35 on 95th turn left/north on Monrovia(as if you’re going to Sam’s Club). Turn left again at the next opportunity, by the Sam’s Club gas station, then left again into the parking area for the La Quinta Motor Inn. Denny’s adjoins La Quinta. This location is near me, but they have places around the metro, so just check their website for the ones nearest you!
