Sushi Time

I went here because the place I normally go to was closed. I ordered the crunchy shrimp tempura roll and chicken& shrimp fried rice. When I asked to order the fried rice the waitress said that she couldn’t combine both the chicken and shrimp then said she would for 4.00 more. The service was very very slow. When we finally received our rolls they were less tasteful then expected and we waited another 15 mins for our rice. The rice had a very strong taste. The waitress didn’t check on us to refill the drinks or see if we needed anything else. We waited another 15 mins before we asked for the check which she took 10 more mins to deliver. I don’t think I will done here again.

Compared to Sushi Deli, Osaka, Domo, RB, this place is obsolete compared to them.
The prices are too high, service is normal, and the quality of their food doesn’t even match their prices. You’re being scammed if you go here regularly for «cheap and good quality food» as these other Unilocalers state.
I had their super salmon roll and it wasn’t even as flavorful as a normal salmon sashimi.
Their sashimi prices are too expensive, it’s similar to downtown and if you do get sashimi from downtown, it’s way better than this place and you’d be at least satisfied for what you pay for.
Came here during lunch rush, and the place wasn’t even halfway filled. That should be your red flag.
Never pay $ 30 for one roll and a lunch special. Ever.
Nonetheless, I gave it a chance and hoped for some good results but all you get is 2 stars… barely.

I was there with my wife on Saturday for dinner. The food is OK, but the customer service needs a lot improvement. We waited 10 minutes for our drinks, 30 minutes for our food, and only less than a minute for our check. The place needs a face lift; booths are old and some of the décor is old, yes old, not antique. I will go back for lunch to give them a second chance, but as of right now, 3 stars.

Zero service. Been there for 45 min just order lunch special. No miso soup or salad served. Even to-​go orders are gone much faster. Others request miso soup and are served immediately. The restaurant is less than a quarter full and they just never served us. Will Never come here again. HAD TO FINALLY WALK OUT OF THE RESTAURANT.
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME ATTEMPT TO EAT IN HERE.

Yet another delicious dinner! Had my usual fav, hamachi kama, hiyayakko (cold tofu), spicy cucumbers, and the Kobe beef roll! I am never disappointed here. The service is outstanding and the food is great!
I did notice a post that I feel I should speak out against. The post with the photo of the cockroach is such BS. I saw it and was concerned. When I arrived at the restaurant today, I noticed that the wood that the «photographed» roach is on does not exist ANYWHERE in the restaurant. Also, for a roach that supposedly just came out of a bowl of miso soup, it does not show ANY signs of wetness. Reviewers like that should be banned from Unilocal when it is clearly a false accusation.
I am a big fan of the fact that businesses cannot edit reviews, but Unilocal needs to do something about people posting false accusations when all evidence clearly disproves the entire post. I have lost a bit of respect for Unilocal and question the negative reviews on all businesses when I can 100% disprove a negative review such as that roach post.
I don’t work for this restaurant in any way and have no alliances to it other than the fact that I am a regular customer that has thoroughly enjoyed EVERY meal I have had here.
I don’t ask anyone to believe my word without seeing for yourself. If anyone can show me where that photo could have been taken in this restaurant, I will pay for your dinner! Contact me here and I will meet you there.

I love coming here. I been visiting for 2 years and I honeslty feel like family. Sushi chefs always produce great fish and fast service. You’d pay 60 dollars for the service downtown. I definitely recommend it!

Sushi Time is a superb restaurant offering a huge selection at great prices. The staff from Okinawa offer REAL Japanese cuisine without the gimmicks, unreasonable prices and noisiness as do many fronting as «Japanese».

Awesome atmosphere and great sushi. everything tasted so fresh staff was nice food took a bit to come out but worth the wait.

I’ve been coming here a total of 2 years anf. ive never had any compliant. The service has always been great and their miso soup is my absolute favorite. It’s weird some guy took a Google picture of a water roach and claimed this business being infested when that’s not true at all.
I really like their crunchy CA roll ans their San Diego roll as well. And like I mentioned the miso soup is amazing !
I will always come here I like the atmosphere and I really like their service so it’s unfortunate to see people had a different experience.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Every time I’ve been here I’ve been treated like royalty. Chucky is the best! He’s the owner, he entertains, is always gracious, and never fails to make customers feel welcome and happy. Everyone is always grayed with a smile and a «HAPPY! HAPPY!» greeting. For my birthday Chunky sang and danced, others in the restaurant joined in and the cook came out from the back to do her own rendition of Michael Jackson Billie Jean. I haven’t met anyone to say anything negative about this place and if any of you do… never trust it, try them out yourselves… they won’t dissapoint! :D

First I decided to check the reviews on Unilocal and I saw a comment by someone below with a picture of a Cockroach on a wooden table. I decided to give this place a shot despite the gross roach review because friends of mine told me how delicious the food is. I could not get the image of the roach on the wooden tables out of my head but then I realized this place doesn’t even have wooden tables! That is a fake picture or taken at a different place. This place was so clean, the staff was so nice, and best of all, the food was amazing. People shouldn’t make up stories because they had a bad experience. Definitely give this place a shot if you’re looking for good food in a cozy atmosphere.

We’ve been coming to Sushi Time for years, not sure why I never reviewed it. We love this place. Impeccable service, great food and an ambiance well suited for a casual lunch or a fancy birthday dinner. We come here for every occasion. Great for families or a romantic night out with your bae. Even their dishes are adorable. The wait staff and the sushi preps are knowledgeable and very friendly. Have a Happy Day every day eating at Sushi Time!

I came here a year ago and swore I’d never be back. My son and I waited 20 minutes to be seated when most tables were empty but dirty. There was zero percent urgency on the waitresses as they walked around looking lost. Then one night a few months ago I needed my sushi fix, hoping it was just an off night before, I stopped in for one more chance. I cannot believe what a complete turnaround this restaurant has made. I come here once a week now. The staff greets everyone as they come in now, and the chefs always ask how you are doing today, making full eye contact with you. This is now my sushi hangout and I cant say enough good things about the food and service. Now if they would just open the doors! Opens at 5pm weekdays and its now 4:45pm. I am starving!

Great variety of fresh sushi, great service and pray for karma to Joe H. for posting a fake and malicious post! Horrible to make false statements like that! The loyal customers may not all be on Unilocal but they also know that Sushi Time and the staff are awesome!

In response to the Friday post from joe… First Friday was excellent and very busy as we had a special birthday party for my husband. We chose this restaurant because the staff is excellent and the food is great. Our friends that have never come here were so happy to of been introduced to this sushi restaurant. There were at least 30+ guest of ours here. It’s sad that you had to post a lie and bad picture from the Internet to try and offend a great place. To all our friends at sushi time THANK YOU for your great service and hospitality and for all those thinking that anything ever comes out with a roach. Seriously people and Joe stop taking selfies of yourself LOL

I drove down there last Friday night after getting a voicemail several times while trying to place a phone order…
They told me they were too busy to answer their phone, I was also informed at that time they had to many people to serve and would not take my order.
There were about 20 customers inside there
What a joke!!!
I had been going there for 10 years until that point.
However, on my way out I heard a lady shriek and exclaimed there was a COCKROACH in her miso soup.
Glad they were «too busy» for me and my family’s order…

Food was great, service was great and the people were really nice! Only problem was no A/​C. Other than that everything was great! :)

Waited nearly an hour for a couple of bento boxes. Food was salty and chicken was fatty. No A/​C, it was hot, sweaty and sticky in there. Probably never come back. Last expierence was ok. First experience was the best. Got progressively worst so I will be going back to my former sushi spot.

First off, customer service was great! The waitress was really nice and didn’t rush us like most of the other sushi places.

The jalapeño crab roll was really good with the right amount of spice. Spicy lobster was good as well.
