It’s really easy in Kansas City to be a BBQ snob at times. I often find myself comparing new BBQ finds to my old go to places. I walked into this place with an open mind and found I really enjoyed it. I might not rank it as my favorite but I certainly would order there again. It’s close to our house and they know what they are doing. The beans were great, the burnt ends a bit fatty but good and great fries. If you weren’t from KC and you wanted KCBBQ this place would represent well.

You are doing yourself no favors by not stopping at this BBQ joint! I have lived in Kansas City my whole life and have seen little spots like this come and go, this is the real deal KCBBQ. I was impressed by the servings, the quality, the sauce, the bun, the fries and even the pickle! I had the Burnt End sandwich and fries. Excellent! They give you a Pile of homemade curly fries. A generous helping of real burnt ends that were tender and smoky, but not over smoked. Soft, warm hoagie bun and the sauce was exceptional.

Let me start out by saying I love bbq. One of the reasons I stay in Kansas City. I picked this place to eat because it had good reviews and close to my work. The décor is dated but I don’t mind hole in the wall joints. The food was very expensive for what I got. I spent $ 10 for a sandwhich and drink. The brisket came on a cold bun and the meat itself was warm at best. I only ate a few bites before I threw it away. The customer service is awful. They staff is more interested in each other than the customers. I think the 21 or so good reviews are either from people the staff know or the staff themselves. Save yourself some cold buns and poor service and go elsewhere.

Found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. So glad I did! The brisket is terrific. There’s a sauce bar with nice spicy BBQ sauces, pickles, and peppers to fix up your smoked meat any wY you like. Portions are large so come hungry!

So, on our way through Lee Summit, I saw this place from the road and decided to give it a try. Well, as far as the barbecue goes, this place is good. I got the Burnt Ends and Baby Back Ribs, both were good. The meat is smoked without BBQ sauce, but has a great dry rub base. The BBQ sauce options are delicious, they offer a hickory and a habanero. They have gluten free buns and food options too. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. It’s definitely worth a try!
