All Star Pizza & Grill

A few co workers and I decided to order from this place because we heard good things about it. We placed our order and everything was going smooth and dandy. The delivery driver came and forgot someone’s order at the restaurant. Of course this is an inconvenience because we all have schedules lunches at the same time. No big deal people make mistakes and the delivery driver said she would be right back with the missing order. As we went to lunch we noticed that every single order was wrong. The sauce that came with the food was chunky and old. Upon calling the restaurant to tell them, we were told that it was our fault and that we said the orders wrong. I know for a fact we did not make any mistakes in the orders because we were there while the order was placed and listened the whole time. Despite that, No apology, no offers to remake the food was made. It was then that my co worker who’s food was not delivered called them back and asked for a refund. This time he was told we would all get refunded and that they will come within a few minutes with our money. He was also told to never call again. This all happened yesterday, no refund was ever made, no phone call, nothing. They never showed up. This place does not deserve a single star with the service and incompetence that was used. Never order from all star! Oh I’m sorry I meant no star!!! That’s a better suiting name.

Tonight the food was awful and the driver was lazy and stupid. they do not listen when u order and they can’t follow directions as far as delivery .when u deliver food as a driver it’s ur job to get ur but out of the car… they seem to hv missed this point .the fries were cold on delivery and the subs were a mess

Lousy, typical sub shop. I had a pizza and garlic Parmesan wings, they were both lousy. I was disappointed because the reviews on Unilocal were pretty good.

These guys are awesome. Ordered on grub hub and my friend wrote ridiculous requests such as «add extra love». everything was awesome!

the pizza is the best here! i love the buffalo chicken pie and allstar special. i’ve tried a few wraps from the menu which are great as well. the only thing i havent liked are the wings. the calazones are pretty amazing too.

Best sub shop in the area. Beats the pants off the guy down the street. Food is far better cheaper and you don’t feel like you are inconveniencing them when you call to order like the competitor. Great place to go if you are looking to order some platters for a quick get together. Eggplant parmesan calzone is to die for, as is their pizza and pita bread that comes with their salads… Hungry just thinking about it.

Decent pizza and subs. Slow service at times but not terrible. One complaint I have it that I ordered the chicken finger plate for dinner one night cause I wanted fries and a salad. When I opened the box there was ligit just a chunk of lettuce and one tomato. I wasn’t looking for a big salad but something of a moderate size. If I didn’t want the salad I would have just ordered chicken and fries. At any rate thought the chicken fingers were hot and crunchy and the steak fries were also good. Defiantly a solid place to grab a quick bite.

Local gem. Classic tossed pizza, excellent crust taste and texture. Wings are decent, best among the other local sources. Burger dinner is pretty good! Superior burger when compared to any chain fast food burger, imo. I have been a customer for several years.
The only improvement I would suggest is in the area of their subs. Sometimes when ordering a small and large of the same type we find the difference is just a longer bun. The amount of «stuff» is sometimes the same, though the quality is quite good. So a little more consistency would go a long way. We now just order smalls.

Was alone and in search of food on a Saturday night.
I’d seen All-​Star Pizza and the good reviews on here before but, for whatever reason, never got around to trying them.
However, tonight was the night and I was going to go big!
I ordered a large steakbomb sub (not the steak tip bomb) with side orders of buffalo tenders and jalapeño poppers. I was feeling particularly gluttonous on this evening.
I was told it’d be about 45 minutes for delivery and it arrived in closer to 35, so good news there! Also, this was one of the few places in my area which offers free delivery, which was another plus!
However, once I unwrapped my sub, I realized there was something very wrong.
It was noticeable right off the bat that, for a steakbomb sub, it sure looked bready. In fact, I’d have to say the «sub» was more than 70% sub roll versus actual steakbomb goodness. But hey, it’s all about the taste and I wasn’t going to let my dinner go to waste! Although, once I did get said taste, the situation did not improve.
I took my fist bite and wasn’t met with the flavors and meatiness I was anticipating. It was then that I realized the problem with my submarine sandwich was worse than I originally thought. I opened the sub up and noticed that the sub only contained steak tips, maybe 10 in total, just a little bigger than a quarter each, and NOTHING else. This steakbomb was looking like a dud. I figured that there may have been a mix-​up on the order, but when I looked at the wrapper, it was clearly labeled as «SB,» which means either ALL-​STAR Pizza or this particular cook didn’t know how to make a steakbomb sub or that the order was wrapped up for delivery before it was finished. In either case, it’s very disappointing.
The other part of my order, the buffalo tenders and poppers, were acceptable, though nothing special. Purely average in every way.
I might give ALL-​STAR another shot, maybe it was just an off night, though next time I’ll probably stick to the pizza.

The pizza is good. Haven’t tried anything else. The owner is there every time I’ve been there. The guy works hard and his pizza reflects it.

Greasy cheesy delicious pizza! My fav… hamburger bacon. Loaded with toppings, thin crust. By far the best pizza in lawrence.

This place has really, really, REALLY good pizza! While they offer the traditional sub/​pizza shop fare (steak & cheese, peperoni pizza, you get the idea) they offer quite a bit more as well. Spinach and meat pies, chili, linguica (huge for me being the Portugee I am).
I got the buffalo wings (awesome!) and chicken fajita wrap and brought home a Greek salad and buffalo chicken pizza for the hubby (the hardest person in the world to please… no joke). Everything looked and tasted great. The veggies were fresh, everything was cooked to order and the shop was (if you’ve read any of my other reviews you’ll know this is a big deal for me) CLEAN!
Prices are reasonable and the portions are good.
The people working were friendly and patient with my squirt who decided she would spend the majority of our visit trying to lick the window and post her fingerprints all over the door! will have to go back for the garlic and parmesan wings
