I’ve been ordering from here for years literally since like 2007 .they have their days where they pick up with attitude and rudely take your order or the pricey chicken noodle soup is mostly broth. BUT overall the food is AMAZING& very well flavored. Never lets be down. I don’t eat salad for the life of me but I go thru my cravings of their basic salad because of their amazing flavored house Italian dressing. They DONT use the cheap plastic to-go containers that sog your food– they use like a cardboard type one so the fried food gets to you CRUNCHY Just had the steak tip dinner it was very good, flavorful, thin, generous portion and well done just like I asked for it.

Pretty bad customer service but it’s open late, the food is good, delivery is really fast and great prices. Will continue to order.

Little confused about the negative reviews. We order takeout very often and service and food has been excellent. Tuna subs, steak bombs and salads rock!

do NOT go here! The pizza has absolutely no flavor at all you might as well eat cardboard. In addition my sub is s complete mess with condiments all over the place. The bread is stale and the tomatoes are rotten. I will never go back.

I received the pizza extremely cold. I called them and they said couldn’t do anything about it because the pizza was touched, as if they could sell it again. There was also a hair in it but nothing could be done. Would never order from here again. Also ordered a meatball sub and the bread was soggy from the hour long wait.

Was a really big fan of Jims until last week when we had an issue with some burnt food. Was told the policy is to send back food and wait fot new. Being that we were on our lunch break there was no time to wait so I was told by a female manager to call the owner the next day. Called and was promised the food, it never came. When I spoke to the owner again he told me he’d refund me and then hung up on me SORUDE. Needless to say I still havent recieved my refund. I work in a kitchen and its unsanitary and hazardous to bring food back into a prep area thats already been sent out. Really unhappy with customer service. Will not be returning to this restaurant I’ve also made an effort to contact on facebook and got a response saying they wanted to fix this and haven’t heard anything since.

Portions are supersized! So if you have a big appetite and don’t care much for flavor or quality come to this location and stuff your face. I ordered a sub which was huge but had little steak and nothing else just steak and cheese. I ordered a Pizza and the huge slices dripped of oil and melted cheese on flimsy dough that was not crunchy maybe it was taken out of oven too soon had to slice it up in pieces like I did for my toddler!, in order to eat it. The fries were awesome we loved them!

I kinda had a feeling it wasn’t going to be a good place to eat but I gave it a try. The fries is the only thing good that’s why the two stars. Pizza looks like it wasn’t cooked fully. Not happy but not going again.

I WAS a regular of this place. Last night my family and I orders 3 subs and fries. The only part of the order that was done correctly was the fries. Steak Tip and cheese sub was missing the lettuce, tomato and mayo I asked for. This«sub» was 75% bread 25% steak. The«sub» was so empty it shouldn’t even be called a sub. Chicken finger sub was missing all veggies that was ordered with it. Essentially it was just plain chicken and bread. Steak and Cheese sub with onions and peppers was missing the peppers. Again, most of this«sub» is bread. They have been putting less and less meat in the subs each time I visit. At least they got the fries correct… This place USEDTOBE so good. I don’t know what happened. I am really disappointed with Jim’s and will not be going back.

I ordered lunch here with my coworkers and we were not pleased! Two other people did say this place was really good, so we gave it a shot. We ordered a large pizza with half green peppers and half cheese, and people said that was fine and tasted fresh. We also ordered fries which were ok(greasy, steak cut). Those were fine. Here is what went wrong. We ordered a turkey sub with lettuce, onion, tomato, and mayo and mustard and it contained hardly any turkey, they forgot the mustard and mayo, and it tasted predominately of onions and lettuce. it was very sloppy. The worst thing though, was the«Roll». The bread was very soft, almost raw, as if it was not baked. very strange and hardly held the sub together. It tasted like thicker wonder bread. Most of it was thrown away. The portion size was huge for a small though! The worse thing though, was the(very) Large Chicken Parm Calzone. We first noticed that it was not cut at all. Not a huge deal, but at an office with only plastic knives, it’s impossible to cut it in a neat way. So, if you are ordering it and do not have the proper utensils, make sure to ask them to cut it for you. Immediately, we noticed that it came with mushrooms, onions, and peppers. we did not ask for this and so upon looking closer at the menu, we noticed it does state it. the person who ordered it probably just saw chicken parm and the price and stopped there. So, just make sure to note that. If i ordered a pepperoni calzone it would come with those toppings unless you told them not to put them on. It was just a little strange that all of their calzones automatically come with that. Two of my coworkers,(who specifically ordered that meal) would not even touch it and had to eat something else… they do not like their veggies! I, on the other hand, love vegetables and tried the calzone. It tasted good, but NOTHING like a chicken parm calzone! The addition of those vegetables definitely changes the flavor. Also, it needs a lot more sauce and cheese. It tasted like an onion, pepper, and chicken calzone.

Jim in response to your service question it was only one time that I had an issue, probably a couple weeks ago. One evening when I was leaving work at 9PM I called my order in and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I got there after waiting for a minute, I was asked by a young girl what my name was and if I have placed an order. I said I had and I gave her my name. I noticed two pizzas sitting on top of the oven but she never looked to see if they were mine so I assumed they weren’t and gave her the benefit of the doubt. but after waiting for another what seemed 15 minutes a nice gentleman came over and asked me what my name was and quickly walked over to the pizza oven and grabbed the one that I saw when I walked in. So basically my pizza was ready from the time I walked in there but I didn’t get it for about 20 minutes because she never looked on top to see my name was on that pizza. I left there extremely disappointed and frustrated. I appreciate the time that you took to respond and promise you that was the only one time bad experience I had and hope to never have again.

My daughter loves pizza more than anything in this world and she wouldn’t finish one slice. I got a steak and cheese and thought it was terrible. It’s all bread and the quality if the meat just comes off as high school quality at best. I can’t figure out for the life of me why this place is do popular. I won’t ever be going back.

I have lived near by Jim’s for nearly 20 years. And have been eating their food for the same amount of time. They have always had great subs and service. This is a place that knows their regulars and consistently puts out good grub.

This place is meant for Subs. Truely out of the world amazing subs. I think the only thing that makes it exceptional is they are very hearty when serving portion sizes. Especially the meat that they put on the subs: D With an appetite like mine, a half sub satisfies me easily, when fully loaded. I got their crabmeat sub with everything on it. And it was damn goooood! I still have doubt as to how does Jims manage to put real crabmeat(I assume) on a $ 6 sub and that too loaded. The Pizza is very ordinary. The subs are definitely to go for. This is my sub place from now on.

Their subs are tasty, I usually get a chicken parm and my wife a veggie I believe. However, the pizza wasn’t something I’d ever pay for again. I’d recommend sticking with the subs.

They still have the monster subs they used to. If you need to satisfy a couple of young kids with a Steak and Cheese this is the place to go, you can feed 3 kids on a Lg. Steak and Cheese, it is not the best steak and cheese sandwich, but it is good, and it is a great value. One of my favorites is a Lg.(Cold Subs are not as huge as the hot subs) Combination Ham and Salami, get it toasted and ask for the fixings to be put on after, lettuce onion hots and mayo. Awesome sandwich!

I have been going to Jim’s since their hole-in-the-wall location on South Broadway next to St. Patrick’s Church. They have moved about five times, but the quality has never gone down. I live in NH so don’t get there so often anymore, but whenever I am in that part of the state, I make a trip to Jim’s just to get some of their sandwiches. Usually get three or four subs and a few salads to take home. They have a large menu, but we always stay with our favorites, Jim’s regular with tomatoes, lettuce, and onions, with oil is the best. NO, they DONOTMAKETHEIROWNBREAD, but it is the clue to their sandwiches. Next favorite is the tuna, add tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. No oil or mayo, take it as is. You ned a fork with your sandwich, it is packed with tuna salad, perfectly mixed to match with the bread. Don’t know what they do to their onions, but they add a real crisp bite of sweet flavor. Third is a CRABMEAT salad. Note the emphasis on crabmeat. This is the real thing, not imitation crabmeat, not a processed seafood salad substitute. I don’t know of any place within 50 miles that serves real crabmeat. Real fresh, crisp salad with scoops of REALCRABMEAT. I usually get lite Italian dressing on the side, hmm, great! The place could use a makeover, but I don’t usually eat in there, I care about the food, not the décor. Prices are fair, about $ 7 for most items. Only negative is the after breath from the onions, but I can deal with that. Give them a chance, you also will make them a regular place for quick, good food.
