Mr Takeout

dirty counter boy was picking his nose when i was leaving and putting it on his clothes. i threw up on the way outside. the food was barely eatable and after that i knew its was the worst.

Eat here every week without fail. Their menu is huge! I highly recommend steak subs, buffalo chicken sub, the wings, salads, and calzones. The only menu item that’s unimpressive is their pizza. Good, but nothing special. Every thing else is absolutely perfect! Price is right too.
Edit: Change of heart on the pizza. The BBQ chicken pizza is really yummy!

Have heard good things about Mr. Takeout but the location is usually in the opposite direction (of town) in which I travel. Wanted a salad for lunch and also wanted to try a place I’ve never been before so I gave them a call from downtown. A very friendly gentleman answered and efficiently took my order, the Cobb Salad with balsamic vinaigrette. By the time I arrived (less than 10 minutes), the salad was just being packaged.
When I walked in, there were about four gentlemen working and one immediately greeted me. I told him that I had ordered via phone and he quickly rang me up. Then another gentleman peeked around the corner with a big smile and a «hello». I took the salad home and it was excellent!
Rows of shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes, chopped boiled egg, a strip of crispy bacon, and some hot marinated shredded chicken (wrapped in foil) over iceberg and a spring mix of lettuce. Pita bread on the side. The only negative was the balsamic wasn’t homemade, Ken’s but that was OK. Great value at $ 8.49! I’ll be back to try some of the other offerings. Friendly, efficient service will always win me over!

Between work functions and being at home lazy, I’ve tasted a few different selections from the Mr. Takeout menu.
Always a friendly experience with the cashiers and delivery guys. Met the owner too. Real down the earth guy and when it gets busy, he is right on the front lines taking/​making orders with everyone else.
Huge selection of pizzas. I haven’t tried the subs yet, but the wings! Let’s not get me started on the wings. If it were a healthy option is probably have them daily!

Excellent pizza. The sauce is sweet. The toppings are fresh. The garlic parm wings are AMAZING. Staff is super friendly.

Mediocre food. Ordered delivery and it took over 45 minutes so everything was cold by the time it got to me. Ordered the zesty mango «boneless» wings, tasted like a sweet and sour sauce mixed with chili sauce — I didn’t taste any mango at all.
Overall, with so many other shops of the same kind in the area, I wouldn’t order from here again.

Mr. Takeout was my favorite place to stop in and grab lunch before I moved out of town. Not only is the food very reasonably priced but they also have by far the best wings and salads in town. Their bone in wings were always my favorite. I liked the inferno sauce but trust me, it lives up to its name so be careful.
For lunches, their salads were really good. I pretty much always got the same thing, Cobb salad with light Italian dressing. It never let me down so I never really mixed it up.
The staff is helpful and Jon, the owner, is always happy to see a new or familiar face. If you haven’t yet, give it a try!

Huge serving sizes for salads at pretty cheap prices. The grilled chicken Greek salad is so tasty, it hits the spot for lunch. This is really the sort of place you duck in, grab your takeout and leave. Don’t expect any place to sit and eat.

Take out right off of highway. Large Steak bomb and small fried not only amazing but perfect dinner for two!

Seriously, meh. Nothing bad. Nothing great. Pasty chicken salad sub, lacking in flavor. The service was fine. The price is right.

So I just stopped in because I have been driving by this place way to many times. somewhat overwhelmed by the extensive menu options, I asked the cashier what was good. his response «everything»: So my follow up question was how is the chicken salad and his response «Perfect»
First thought is i am in trouble but after eating,
he couldn’t be more accurate.
The chicken salad was in fact Perfect! Service was friendly and fast.

oh yea, Ive lived in Andover a month and Ive eaten here at least three or four times. Great place and food. Keep it up Mr Takeout!

Always a positive experience at Mr. Takeout! Delicious pizza and sandwiches, and all salads are made-​to-​order with fresh vegetables. The service is great, always greeting you at the door and asking if there’s anything else they can do to meet your needs. I highly recommend!

Went to Mr Takeout as it was convenient, was able to walk over, so location is great.
Service was good, staff very friendly and fast on the phone and in person, order was ready quickly.
The food within the order unfortunately did not match up. The bun on my steak and cheese sub was soggy. Our two orders of boneless wings were overloaded with sauce, the wings themselves were over cooked, extremely crunchy and hard to cut into.

What’s happened guys? You started using canned mushrooms on everything from Pizza to Steak and Cheeses? Does that really save you more money and do you think the customer won’t notice? nasty! The past 2 orders have been really bad… soggy pizza, what appeared to be frozen chicken on a salad… this bums me out because we wanna support you… We love you guys! get it together!

My mom and I stopped in to get some lunch! We both got steak and cheese, they were delicious and not too pricey! I definitely will go back!!!

Food is great, but moving forward I guess I will only be doing pick-​up for food.
Customer service sucks.
I have always had them deliver to my job, but when I called to put in my order today, the girl on the phone told me «oh, well we don’t go there.» I told her this has never been an issue in the past. Rather than her putting me on hold to get further assistance or guidance from a member of management (or any co-​worker that is better with customer service), she just told me «ok, well sorry that’s how it is.»
Boom. You just lost a handful of regular, weekly customers!

The staff is friendly and they have a nice outdoor seating area across the street with 3 picnic table, but maybe I ordered the wrong things. Greek Salad
= Lettuce, tomatoes & black olives. The Garlic Herb Chicken Wings = Fried chicken wings with some horrible looking & tasting sauce/​dressing (unsure) poured on top. Although mine wasn’t that great, my husband said his Italian Sub was good. I read in a previous post that a lot of items are homemade, I was bummed to see that wasn’t true. There was a freezer full of rolls & pizza dough. At least the rolls were from a local bakery in Haverhill and they were hand tossing the defrosted pizza dough!
