Village Square Bagels

Completely respectable bagels — for which I am very grateful. I’ve ordered a bacon-​egg-​cheese on bagel a couple of times and it’s just okay — nothing to write home about. But again, good bagels and good selection and ultimately, that’s what’s important!
And looking at the other reviews, I’ve never experienced a problem with the service. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing but it is completely competent.

Best bagels in the area! Nicely soft, not too dense with good chew. Lines can be long and slow on the weekend so I usually come during the week. My kids love the everything bagels and pretty much refuse to eat bagels from anywhere else.

Good bagels, good iced coffee. Nice for a quick breakfast. I almost never stay to eat and usually bring it home.

Stopped here for a few sandwiches before going to the park and wasn’t thrilled at first… Place could be a bit more tidy and décor could use some updating… Service is kind of slow so if you can’t be patient don’t come here. Nonetheless, the Panini’s me and my BF had were delicious! So we will be coming back.

First of all the positives– the bagels get a 5 star rating. I am very grateful for the hardworking bakers who keep cranking out these delicious fresh bagels. Over the past 15 years I have had several events catered by VSB and the bagels always get rave reviews. They are the ideal combination of chewy crust and flavorful doughy insides will raise your status among family and friends!
I have never had a problem with pre ordered bagels or a pre ordered catered tray to pick up.
There is a nice area set up with tables and chairs eat in.
Now for the negatives.
However during the past 15 years service has gone way down hill.
A recent example of this is when I went in one morning and the person who waited on me did not know better than to pack the 40 dollars of smoked fish separate from the warm bagels!
They do not take credit cards.
The cold cuts look old.

So SLOW. 8 people behind the counter and they have no idea how to take an order or do anything quick. I’m admittedly spoiled by my NYC deli’s that make a BEC and get me a coffee in 30 seconds but man oh man, please hire a new staff who don’t look hungover and just chit chat while there is 8 – 10 people in line. I’m always upset leaving there and the food isn’t good enough to pick me back up. The place near the train station has way better service even though it has a much smaller space.

This place used to be my favorite bagel spot in Westchester, but in the past few months it’s gone seriously downhill. After today I’m never going back there. Got home only to realize they gave me bagels with spoiled cream cheese and three «light and sweet» iced coffees with absolutely no sugar… Also, they should probably stop hiring incompetent teenagers because they can’t seem to get the orders right almost ever. Not to mention it’s 2015 and they’re cash or check only.

The service in here is atrocious. Any order consisting of more than one bagel causes the counter help’s mind to blow a circuit and then to go into meltdown mode.
This means that your order will never be right. Check your bag before you leave. Guarantee you that you’ll be missing a bagel. It’s happened to me more than once, including today. Never going to happen again.

Let’s be honest, I will always be in love with my NYC bagels. These bagels though are the best ones I have tasted in the Larchmont/​Mamaroneck area so far. The iced coffee and tuna salad are pretty awesome as well.

it was pretty tasty, no qualms from me, recommended as one of the better in the area, which i am jealous of now that im back in my shittown.
hey, this isnt just about a above average bagel (light toast sesame w/​schmear, if youre catching up at home) and iced coffee to get me going on the road, its about a slice of life too.
the smoked fish costs, well, if you gotta ask…

Great bagels! Brought them to work and home to Florida for my family that wanted me to bring good New York bagels. Approved by all. I showed the coupon from their website and got 6 free bagels with my purchase of a dozen. Great deal! Easy to find too, right next to the Nautilus Diner.

I love their bagels. Always fresh. The place is always buzzing with people and thus the need to continuously make fresh bagels. The service is very fast. During the busy time they have at least 5 girls working behind the counter. Also, I would recommend their egg salad.

I’d really like to give this place 2.5 stars, so I am rounding up. Compared to the bagel place on Mamaroneck, this place can’t hold a candle. Bagels were OK. Service was meh. Disappointing, but since I was at Trader Joe’s, this was convenient.
