Awesome bagels! Great service. When we moved to New York from California, I wondered whether the bagels would be better. We stopped at Avenue Bagel Café and found our answer! Once in a while, I am running early enough to work to stop by for a breakfast bagel sandwich, and it is the highlight of my morning! While that may also say something about my mornings, it is nonetheless indicative of a great bagel!

We love the Avenue Bagel Café! Friendly owners and great food made just the way you want it and who are supportive of all their regulars. So thankful they are in the neighborhood!

Delicious egg, cheese and potato wrap– but they forgot my ketchup, rang me up without asking if I wanted anything else(like a coffee which I really did) and no napkins in the bag. Yummy food, but the service left something to be desired.

I enjoyed my tuna bagel. Bagels are fresh and hot. They ran out of iced coffee, which sucked, but that’s alright. The inside is grungy(as someone earlier said), but that’s not why you go to a bagel place anyways. I will be back!

Extremely rude staff– and a dirty, dirty store. I remember the time there were cockroaches found in the glass cases where the bagels were kept. Awful food– apparently, this staff was never taught how to make a simple scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. Avoid this place at all costs, really.

My All time favorite: everything bagel. Toasted. With egg whites, melted Swiss, tomato onion spinach salt pepper ketchup. DIVINE. Only issue no coffee. But it’s okay, Dunkin Donuts is literally next door. Wish NJ had a similar place that made such soft fresh bagels. These don’t make your jaw heart.

Now that I have been to Avenue Bagel Café a couple times, I only feel it’s right to give them a positive review. This is a small place right in the center of Mamaroneck. They have a good variety of bagels that you can see through a glass window. You can then pick how you want your bagel(toasted or not) and if you want it to be a sandwich or what kind of spread you want. The service has always been friendly and quick. You can also purchase cream cheeses that they make there. Keep in mind this place is CASHONLY. Why not 5 stars? The Coffee. They could definitely have better coffee.

One of my favorite places to get bagels. They are doughy and fresh. Unfortunately, because they are always fresh, sometimes they run out of certain types of bagels. There have been a couple times I get there and the everything bagels are gone. The place could definitely be redone and always looks a little dirty. Cash only! Staff is very sweet. Service is super fast.

My friend went there and while parking, the owner who was annoyed at him for not allowing him to back up before passing him in his car, cursed my friend out. My friend did not know this was the owner of the store. As he went to go in he called my friend a faggot and continued to insult him. He said he was a faggot because there was pink in his shirt and refused to let him go into the café. He told him that he was not welcome because he doesn’t serve fags! Show this bigot that this type of behavior cannot be tolerted! I was a customer but never again.

Went there for a bagel with an egg on it this morning. Got home, and the egg wasn’t cooked, soaking the bread in soggy yolk. Unless a customer specifically requests runny eggs on their bagel, you don’t serve the eggs runny or half cooked. Yuck.

Avenue Bagel Café are the best bagels in Lachmont/Mamaroneck. Just the right balance of chewy exterior and soft, slightly moist interior. The rye bagels are loaded through & through with caraway — epic win right there. Definitely prefer these over the place near Trader Joes on the post road, but those aren’t bad. The only place around that tops Avenue Bagel Café is H&R Bialy in New Rochelle. The interior could use a makeover. Counter looks a little grungy.

Came in for two bagel breakfast sandwiches. On a weekend morning, the place was busy but service was quick and friendly. Sandwiches were very good. Solid choice for an inexpensive breakfast/lunch.

Great bagel bakery and deli grill combo. Perfect for quick bites. Service is great, best place to go when you want more than a bagel with cream cheese, but just as good when all you want is a shmeer!

Stopped in for a sandwich that was really well made. The place is full of mostly locals and has a good assortment of bagels. They also have sandwiches, pancakes and a menu that would be available at any diner. Staff were fast and friendly. Good for a quick bite.
