This establishment is top notch in my book. This past Sunday my girl and I were out looking for a breakfast stop. We first landed at an adjacent restaurant where the wait was too long and luckily this gem stepped right up to take us in. There was a brief wait to get some drinks but once they were taken it was nothing but excellence from there. After our main server took our drink order another employee came over to make sure we were taken care of. The gentleman who took care of us(I’ll have to try to update later with his name) was exemplary he took the time to recommend some dishes from the menu and gave us plenty of time to decide on some options. I had the Cordon Bleu dish which consisted of delicious and moist scrambled eggs atop ranch potatoes, ham, and cheese covered in a delicious cream sauce. All very flavorful and a great size. I thought for sure I’d be overly stuffed but it all turned out to be just right. We also had the two new juices that they have on their menu. One was kale, cucumber, lemon, and Fuji apple(absolutely delicious), the second was carrot, ginger, lemon, and orange(very subtle and just the right amount of sweetness… very good also). At the conclusion of our breakfast he even came up without being asked to offer up to go cups for our coffee. Timely service, extremely cordial service and attitudes and an all around clean and inviting experience make The Egg & I at Belmar highly recommended for grabbing some breakfast.

Clean, no wait(ok, 5 min but way better than the place next door, which shall not be named here), very friendly service(we were checked on by I assume management to see if our drink orders had been taken yet… they had and we hadn’t been waiting long) delicious new juices(we tried both the kale/apple one as well as the carrot ginger: both wonderful), and good quality ingredients that come in good sized portions. I had the southwest chicken omelette with fresh fruit and an English muffin. Great flavor, no brown on the creamy avocado, and the fruit was juicy and sweet, as it should be. And the meal left me feeling full without feeling stuffed. We both got coffee and upon our check’s arrival, we were offered to go cups to take some of the caffeinated goodness with us. That, my friends, is service. Next time we don’t feel like preparing brunch, you can bet we’ll return!

Dishonest staff. Turned me away for good! My family frequently met for breakfast at this location, which was central to us. I accidentally forgot my(expensive) sun glasses there and realized it within 15 minutes of leaving. I called and spoke with THEMANAGER who found my glasses and assured me they would be there to pick up. The next day they were nowhere to be found. I called a few times after. Nothing. They never offered to make it right. Very disappointing that THEMANAGER didn’t take steps to avoid this. The integrity of the staff also falls on THEMANAGER! I’ll never return to any of their establishments!

Disappointing. The service was great, but the food was less than average. I had the green chili and egg on a tortilla; the green chili was canned, and had pork that was similar in texture with tuna. Eggs were requested over medium, but came over easy. Sent whole plate back because it was barely warm. Manager was nice enough to stop by table. Surprised I didn’t get food poisoning.

The Egg and I surprised me. It surprised me on three counts. Taste, portion, and speed. I wanted a simple two over easy eggs and a side of bacon with country potatoes. Not to forget a sourdough toast. Pretty simple and easy. However, countless times this simple order is almost always boring. Country potatoes are bland and or wet or both. Over easy eggs are usually NOT! Here it’s perfect. The country potatoes. Oh my! Simple but very tasty! I couldn’t get enough of it! Great quality bacon. Thick and crunchy but still chewable. We were on the way to the airport and mostly rushing. Our waitress was sweet and unflappable! She made it all happen! We ordered, ate and paid in about 15 minutes! Oh btw– they have this thing called«New Friend» envelope. If it’s your first time tell them it is! I just happen to tell our waitress that I love their food and when she found out it’s our first time she offered the above. You don’t open this new friend envelope until your next visit. It could be $ 5 or $ 50 worth of free food! You could be in for a yummy surprise!

Always a clean breakfast joint. I love the healthy food options. Today I had the avocado toast with basted eggs and fresh herbs special. I was fresh, refreshing and spectacular. Only down side, was not enough. Had to order another pancake flapper breakfast. This was suppose to be an energy source before my bike ride.

I had just waited for an hour at the new IHOP by «The Egg and I» for food that never came. I went to «The Egg and I» and let them know I was a bit on edge! The staff was incredibly accommodating and the food was great! I highly recommend this restaurant to locals and visitors! Two thumbs up.

I had a sandwich and a half of a Reuben. I wished I’d gotten a whole Reuben and a side salad, both were quite good but the Reuben left me wanting more just because it was so good. Service was a little amateurish, but not horrible.

Not so much. This place had cold English muffins, soggy potatoes and weird egg like stuff in their omelets. So disappointing. We were so excited to try this place too. Snooze is still at the top of the list for us! Has a solid 90s feel as well. Not gonna had back. Oh well, onward to the search for stellar breakfast in Belmar. Revision: Manager said it must have been an off day and gave us the meal for free.

This place is great. This is the kids favorite place also. This time we tried the pecan coffee was really good, but I like the cinnamon is the best still. The waitress was really great and fast she brought us everything quickly and correctly. The food is always good and so many choices, I don’t think there is one I have tried that I haven’t liked so far. I recommend taking your children here, they will ask for it every time

This location is amazing! I love the call ahead wait list! Every server I have ever had knows what is going on, does their job well, and do it with a smile. They are great accommodating food allergies and special orders too. Can’t wait to come back again.

This is a great place for a family breakfast. The wait during peak breakfast hours can be a bit of a wait. In my experience here at the longest we’ve ever had to wait is 40 minutes. That’s Saturday morning at 1030am so it was to be expected. The service is hit or miss here and I’ve had both great servers and not so great so. I’m not sure but they may have a lot of turnover with their personnel. Nevertheless none of the servers one had have been terrible. If you’re going to go on a busy day you can call ahead and get your name on the list also to help with that wait time.

Breakfast place for folks who like breakfast. Different kinds of coffee, eggs, psncakes, and specials. Staff are great. This is a place to enjoy your meal, not grab something and be out the door in 20 minutes. They can rush, but why??? Sit relax, enjoy your meal.

No regular hashbrowns? What? Not everyone wants onions and ranch flavoring. Not to mention they come with hardly any of the meals. And for the price, the food isn’t all the great. I ordered raisin French toast and that was good but the scrambled eggs I got tasted like they poured them out of a carton. Didn’t even taste like real eggs. Would disintegrate the minute they were in my mouth! Gross! And the sausage you can tell are frozen pattys they heat up. And for the price, it’s absurd. Although the staff gets an A+! Super sweet!

The food is great. The wait staff are great. The hostesses and managers today were extremely disappointing. Let me back up. We had family in town and needed a good breakfast restaurant. I had been to the restaurant a few times so I thought it fit the bill. We had party of six plus a baby so I called a few days prior to see if they take reservatios for large parties. I was told no reservations but if we called when we were on our way they’d get our table ready. I did just that and when we arrived let them know we were all there. The waiting area is very small and unconfortable. After 15 minutes we checked in with the hostess stand and were told they actually don’t get a table ready but simply put our name down. There was no apology for the misunderstanding. The manager was standing there the whole time and never said a word and seemed to avoid any eye contact. After another 20 minutes a server came over and apologized profusely and said we’d have a table soon. The poor thing wasn’t even our server but the only one who had any empathy for our wait. Once we finally were seated the service and food were great. Bottom line: it’s a bad restaurant for dining with kids or more than four people. Hopefully they’ll get a new manager who can run the room better on the weekends or at the very least have the moxy to make eye contact with unhappy guests.

I came here for an early breakfast, the service was great and the restaurant was nice and clean. Everything tasted fresh and great, and there were ample choices on the menu. I would return to at breakfast again if I were in the area. There was plenty of parking in the lot, and it wasn’t overly busy at the time we showed up, soon after opening at 7AM.

The service here is very slow. It took a long time to even get a beverage. I ordered the Veggie Benedict with grits. The food had no flavor to it. I would only recommend coming here if you don’t mind waiting, and plan on getting something like pancakes. I will not be going back to that restaurant.
