Bank of the West

For 22 years I have banked at the Lakewood branch. Why have I stayed so long? Because I don’t feel like I’m just a «number» there. I feel like family. There is hardly ever a line (I hate waiting in lines). The tellers are always so friendly. Cyvonne in new accounts has been there foreevver. .. and honestly, they ought to make that girl branch manager. She is the best in customer service and she really knows her stuff.

I have been banking with Bank of the West for less then a year but I must say I love the Lakewood branch. I have a business account with them originally but recently got a home equity line of credit and a personal checking account. Cyvonne, the financial services officer, is the greatest. She has made this whole process of my loan very easy and she is very supportive in all of my questions and providing information. I have been with Wellsfargo for the last 16 years as my primary bank but I will be using BotW as my primary moving forward. When you walk in the manager remembered my name and who doesn’t like to feel special, the tellers are also very friendly and helpful. I will be starting the process of refinancing my home with them as well.
** I work near the Harbor Gateway branch and although it is a hop skip away I will no longer be going into that branch. They aren’t very friendly or helpful.

Our organization had an account with Bank of the West for about four years. I went in to close the account yesterday and they had an $ 11 service charge on the account. I asked them to wave it but they wouldn’t and told me I needed to call the branch we opened the account with. The teller, who was the supervisor, was rude and aloof and could care less about customer service. I paid the $ 11 out of my own pocket just to end this headache. I will honestly say I will never work with this Bank ever again, they nickle and dime the customers and have a bad attitude, it amazes me they are in business.

I have been a customer of many different banks throughout my life and I can definitely say that I like Bank of the West the best out of all of them. All the tellers and management at all their branches have been super helpful, courteous, and professional whenever I go in the branch. With all the other banks I have been with, I would avoid going inside the bank like the plague. I refused to go inside those other banks to avoid the long lines, the hassles, and the generally poor attitudes of the tellers. This is not the case with Bank of the West. I actually enjoy going in the branch because of the great service I receive each and every time. Thanks Bank of the West! If you are looking for a great bank, look no further that Bank of the West!

We have been banking with BotW in Lakewood for years with our business accounts. Cyvonne and Ed and the rest of management have always been very prompt and courteous, and I truly cannot understand the previous 1 star rating. The tellers are quick and always ready to grab a supervisor when we have a question that goes beyond them.
I’d give them 5 stars truly but I know that Unilocal has a tendency to suppress 5 star ratings if the business does not have a large number of ratings or is not a paying member. They deserve the 5 though.
