L’amour Nails Salon

5 stars for my favorite nail salon in Lake Mary! I tried this place out due to the convenient location. It is right off of Lake Mary Blvd & Longwood/​Lake Mary Rd. Walk-​ins are welcome and you can also make an appointment. The most time you’ll wait is maybe 10 min. I’ve gotten regular manicure, regular pedicure, gel manicure, acrylic full set, and acrylic fill here and all are great! V is my favorite. I began going to her because she is one of the few who do acrylics and now I use her for regular manicures and gel manicures as well. Another great employee is Tammy! They are both my favorites but there are many great people there. They have so many regulars who walk in all the time just to chat– that’s when you know it’s a great nail salon, right? Give them a try!

I came here with a gift certificate from a friend, and I wanted to express a few concerns.
I came in about 30 minutes before closing for a mani pedi. To minimize on cleaning at the end of the night, they did my mani pedi in a chair which was quite cumbersome to say the least, but at points, they made it work. I expressed the fact that I’d done a treatment on my calluses and I didn’t want them worked on, but then three other customers walked in, and instead of focusing on me, the current customer, and leaving the other technicians to deal with the new customers, the rest of the time was spent shooting dirty looks at the late customers.
Now, I know all about being annoyed with people coming in late, and I could justify at least one dirty look, but then, she reached over and grabbed the pumice stone and before I could stop her, scrubbed my calluses and they started to bleed. I screamed out and she quickly put some antiseptic on it and told me I should’ve told her, which I reminded her that I did, but to my dismay, I was the one to blame. She fixed up a few of my nails that were done rather haphazardly, and sent me off to dry my nails.
Usually I don’t flash my gift certificates around because I want the best job done without any bias, (too much to ask for?), but nothing could compare to the look on the owner’s face once she realized she wasn’t receiving a tip. I was quickly rushed out the door, keys in hand, and half dried nails.
Can’t say I will be frequenting this nail salon, but I just wanted to give everyone who dares to come in at 6:30 with a gift certificate a heads up.

I just had my first pedicure at L’Amour Nails and was very impressed. I expressed my concerns about sterilization of the instruments to Tina the owner who gave me through explanation of every precaution they take including having the latest technology chairs. I am a retired nurse and found that to be very reassuring. Lily did a fantastic job with my pedicure including a spa scrub and lotion massage. I will definitely go back!
