Be aware! We booked for 3 nights at the beginning of June, having read favourable reviews. Arriving at 5PM we found the gate to the complex open but no cars in the parking lot. Drove up to the entrance, all very nice but we needed help with our cases as retired seniors. Well, no-one came out to greet us to we went in to sign in and meet the staff(this is a substantial property. After a few minutes of calling out with no response and wandering around the empty ground floor we decided that perhaps the staff were outdoors. No such luck On finding our suite, it was interesting that the key was in the door so we went in. On the table was a notice giving the phone numbers to contacts. We phoned the first — on answerphone as now out of hours. The cell phone number got us through to the Manager who informed me that she was out of town, no staff would be onsite overnight and that they would arrive to make our breakfast at 9:30 the following day. I was more than annoyed that we were expected to be responsible for the safety and security of this property which is in a pretty remote location. Just not on, it was like the Marie Celeste! My wife and I decided we were not prepared to take on an empty B&B and were refused a refund. Thank goodness for who did a great job to find us a nice suite at The Embassy Spa Hotel in town.

This place is first class all the way. I’ve stayed here on 3 different occasions. Twice for a girls weekend and once romantically. For the girls trip, we always stay in Docs Master. There is plenty of room and the view is incredible. This was our second trip and they remembered us from last year. They had a bottle of champagne chilled in the fridge when we got there. We spent our days in the sun on the dock and never left the property. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff is kind and very helpful. The décor is over the top in the main area but the rooms are tasteful. The restaurant is no longer open so there is a lot of room to explore. This place is pricey but worth every penny.

These people will lie to you, so do your homework carefully before booking. They are horrible to deal with, and the gals that answer the phone are rude and the owner will not return telephone calls to address concerns. Make sure you are not going to be booked in the«pet-friendly» suite if you have animal allergies! Note to travelers … check VRBO Hot Springs … they have plenty of alternatives available!

The historical Hamilton House is located on a peninsula overlooking Beautiful Lake Hamilton. The House was patterned after a lovely Italian Villa. We didn’t say the night. :(We did have one of the most wonderful, delicious, intimate, impeccable l & memorable dinners ever! We all chose the 8 oz. filet mignon w/loaded baked potato w/glass of wine. For desert we split a scrumptiously decadent layered chocolate cake. We were seated by the large window with views of Beautiful Lake Hamilton & the enchanting gardens. The Hamilton House is charming, elegant and alluring with stunning picturesque views of the bluffs & cliffs that surround Lake Hamilton. The home makes you envision the times of the 1940’s speakeasies. Perfect choice for a wedding anniversary or intimate night with your honey. We are looking forward to coming back & staying for a couple of days while vacationing our way through Arkansas & Missouri… Absolutely Exquisite!
