This is your average hotel. Decent rooms not great, smallish, slightly outdated, kept clean for the most part. Big pool ++, no complimentary breakfast –, very helpful staff. Good price and right on the lake, minutes from shopping and food. Just the right distant from the downtown baths area

The view is excellent and I love the location. The hotel is an older hotel that is in need of a remodel. Twin beds are the worst part!

The front desk people were very friendly, the location was very convenient for my purposes, the refrigerator and microwave worked great, and the room was mostly clean. That’s about as positive as I can honestly get. This place definitely needs some TLC. The sheets had ballpoint pen marks, the bath mat was stained, and the shower — oh, the shower! I dreaded taking a shower each night because the water alternates between freezing and scalding the whole time. The AC is the kind that rumbles on and off all night long, so light sleepers, this is not the place for you. My «partial lake view» was a balcony over the parking lot, and I was able to see the lake where it is crossed by a large, busy highway. Next time I’m in Hot Springs, I will find other accommodations.

Room was clean, staff competent, parking lot adequate. Shower is old and outdated. Ok for price paid.

Stayed thurs-sun, got a good name your own price deal on Priceline. I asked to be upgraded to lake view and was with no questions asked! Also got upgraded to a king bed which was awesome! The front desk lady at checkin was so nice and gave us ideas on where to go! We had breakfast at the restaurant, it was a cool sports bar theme and bartender was great. Not a 5star place, but were in Arkansas who cares! Place is clean, rooms are nice and staff is friendly! Sure wish they had a hot tub or heated pool though!

The place was clean and enjoyable… The grill/bar was awesome. The shower was terrible. It was on again /off again hot water and the shower head was about chest high. Showers will take twice as long because you will be constantly jumping in and out of the water. Also the shower head was loose and had to be tightened constantly to keep all the water from going inside the hole in the wall where the fitting came out.

I was speaking at a conference here on September 16, 2011. When I arrived, the desk clerk was quick and efficient and friendly. My room was on the 1st floor and I was a bit underwhelmed by the view — the children’s playground. I had at least expected a view of the lake(even though it’s a manmade one). Otherwise, the room was typical, but very clean. Room service was fast, but the chicken fried steak was awful, the gravy bland and the vegetables looked like they had been freezer burnt and microwaved. The french fries were the best part. I was still hungry after that. When I went to take a shower the next morning, I found out that Hot Springs takes conservation very seriously. The low-flow showe head was so anemic, it was literally a trickle. I ended up using a washcloth to wash my bits and pieces, then flipping back to the tub faucet and leaned over the tub to shampoo my hair. That is not cool. If I ever come back to Hot Springs on my own, I will NOT be staying here(even though the rooms start at just $ 89/night plus tax)

We decided to spent the Labor Day weekend in Hot Springs. There are 6 of us in our family, so we usually end up trying to stay at suite style hotel vs getting 2 regular rooms. Well, there aren’t that many options in Hot Springs and most of my usual places were booked up long ago. So my Dad recommend the Clarion since it is close to their condo. We booked 2 dbl queen rooms and thru some work on my part, we ended up getting them for $ 104 a night. The hotel sits right on Lake Hamilton and is convenient to most everything in Hot Springs. But, it is tired and could use some updating. The hotel staff didn’t even mention when we checked in that there would be a big fireworks display and the best place in town to watch it would be from the hotel pool area. We found out about this after we had been out all day and had to show proof that we were guest of the hotel so we could park in the lot. The restaurant in the hotel was not staffed for breakfast. It appeared to us that their was one person working the entire restaurant. We ended up finding a cracker barrel. The positives were that it was pretty clean, priced OK, and convenient.
