I definitely won’t be returning. This particular location has been around for quite some time and is just getting worse and worse. We live right between an Arni’s location and this Pizza King. We like to change it up every now and then, but the last time was the final time. Ordered a pizza, 2 salads and breadsticks to go. We were told 10 – 15 minutes and it should be ready, which is about norm. Showed up at about the 20 minute mark, nothing was ready. When they finally did give us our food 10 or so minutes later, as we were walking out we noticed they left out the breadsticks. After going back to get them, had to wait for those too, we headed home. Got home, pizza was BURNT, black all around the edge, cheese was brownish burnt colored as well. Opened the breadsticks, same thing. Also were missing an extra salad dressing, one that they charged for. I called to complain and they seemed less than interested in helping, although they offered to either credit us or make a new pizza. Asked for the new pizza, drove back with the now burnt pizza for proof. When we got there, they were done with the pizza and that is when I informed them of the breadsticks as well. They did offer to redo the breadsticks, but again, seemed less than interested in really taking care of us. This was especially evident when the employee that was helpiong us spoke with the manager within earshot of us and we could hear«not in the 4 years since I’ve been here». Whether they were talking about us or not, extremely un-professional. All of this, we won’t return. Never have any problems with Arni’s and they are certainly friendlier, and the restaurant itself is much cleaner inside.

Oh man. I came here because my 5 year old niece wanted to see the train deliver the drinks. It was this places only saving grace. Came for lunch with a group of 6 on a recent weekday. No one was there to tell us where to sit, but a sign said seat yourself. Now, I know that you need to order through the little speaker box, but no one else did. Everyone was confused, no one was around to assist us and we were literally the only people in the restaurant. Drinks are delivered via train(very cool!) but don’t expect a refill that way. For everything else we had to get up and go to the front counter(refills, our food orders, napkins/plates). Someone did bring us our pretzel breadsticks app(yum!), but no plates so we had to get up and get these. I say, take your moolah down to Arni’s and sit in the train room. Same effect, better service and better food.

Pizza King pizza is on a thin crust with sauce and toppings right to the edge. There are some unusual features to this place. There is no waitress service. You order your food and drinks through an intercom in your booth, that also features a coin-operated television. The booths have wrap-around walls to cut down the sound of the TV in the next booth. Your drinks are brought to your table on a little train that circles around the restaurant. It stops at your booth, you open an door, and get your drinks. You can watch everyone else’s drinks go by too. When your pizza is ready, you get buzzed over the intercom to come to the counter to pay and pick up your pizza. There is a dining room with regular booths and tables, but you pay and order at the counter, and get a number so your food is brought to your table. It’s kind of weird in a fun way. The staff are somewhat blasé because there are no tips. Some can be friendly. And the booths don’t always get bussed right away because the staff don’t really know when someone leaves. So you’re on you’re own to find an empty and/or clean booth. There is a nice selection of sandwiches like subs and stroms, but nothing really unique or outstanding. It’s a family place with food that the kids will like.

I have fond childhood memories of the trains that bring drinks at certain Pizza King restaurants. But this location is run down and a little dirty. The service almost seemed like an afterthought too.

It was hard to walk into this place without feeling like an uppity California snob. Coin-operated TV sets at each table? A call-in ordering system? Booths that completely cut you off from the outside world? A freakin’ train that brings your drinks? It’s all pretty kitschy… but somehow I ended up loving it. I’d had Pizza King take-out before, so I knew the food was pretty good for the price. However, the restaurant part was definitely different from anything I’m used to and carried a bit of nostalgia with it as well. 4 stars… the sincerity was just too much.

Worst pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life. Got a large thin crust half cheese, half sausage. What got delivered was a mushy mess, the sausage was like ground up paste on the top of the pizza, and the crust was so soggy I couldn’t even tell where the crust stopped and the toppings started, they all kind of mixed together. We ate half the pizza, as much as we could stomach, and left the rest– it was so horrible we didn’t even want the leftovers. Seriously, a Jacks pizza from Walmart is more appetizing. The pizza reminds me of the mess you end up with if you microwave left over pizza. The only reason I didn’t give this place 1 star, is it’s kinda fun. At this particular location(Pizza king is a chain in the area) your drinks get delivered on a little electric train to your table, so the kids liked that. But beyond that, I found the food completely horrible.
