Loved the philly cheese steak and service is great. The price is really modest. I so love the villages.

Breakfast review! 5 stars for super friendly, quick service and really inexpensive prices! Would only rate the food a 3 so decided on 4 stars overall. I really love crispy hash browns and the ones here were a bit underdone. No crunchy bits to speak of. Mom’s pancakes were big but a bit on the crumbly/dry side she said. She rated them just ok. Bacon was nice quality for sure — thick and well cooked. And dad loves the sausage gravy. I had an omelet with bacon in it and the bacon was left in long strips making it hard to cut into. Would have been perfect if it had been chopped up inside as the omelet itself was cooked nicely. Would have liked a higher quality whole grain bread option for toast, or at least an English muffin option. Overall a nice little local place would try it again.

As a restaurant consultant in Philadelphia, sorry to say this place is a major disappointment and DONOT recommend. I’m guessing absentee owner with no quality control. Trying to find the place was challenging in this strip center off Bichara Blvd. chose it because of Unilocal reviews and needed to grab lunch ASAP. The building sign is very small and compact and not recognizable from afar and while driving by. Drove by it twice and then called to find it was«on the corner» Lunch time — Service was good — but inattentive. Basic deli style menu with«Rueben» misspelled(seriously, if you can’t spell it you can’t make it)…also a sign that owner doesn’t pay attention to detail anywhere you see that. Had the Italian meatball sub. Way overpriced at 8.50. Definitely a 1 out of 10. Sauce was dark red and bitter, almost vinegary, from constant reheat. Onions and peppers should be sliced then grilled to slightly soften onions. these were rough chopped and burned. Skimpy, low-quality, off-flavor 2oz sausage(void of any Italian or pleasing flavor) sliced in half and cut in half and then the roll was topped with some lousy American cheese… yeah, an Italian sub with American Cheese all served on a decent sub roll. Seasoned fries were good and hot. Friend had a cheap looking chef salad piled high with ½″ strips of boiled ham on iceberg lettuce with a little bit of cheese strips. Dressing was in a 4 oz cup on side. Why a restaurant owner would dare to serve such inferior quality foods to a captured demographic that knows what a chef salad should look like and what an Italian Susage, onion& pepper sub looks and tastes like. You can get better Italian subs from Subway or any food vendor at an outdoor event. You can get nicer Chef’s Salads at Publix.

Good food. But not a place I would out of way to recommend. I had the sausage and cheese omelet, hash browns with onions and a ½ order of biscuits and gravy.

It was a bit on the late side for breakfast so we decided to try this café… I had the Biscuits and Gravy with Home Fries. I’m glad I did. Light and melt in your mouth biscuits with terrific flavorful sausage gravy. The potatoes were cooked just right. you could tell they were fresh not packaged or frozen. My daughter is Vegan so they nicely discussed her options and she decided on grilled veggies in a wrap also with home fries which she enjoyed. The coffee was great too. As far as prices it may be a little high, but it’s The Villages so everything seems higher to me. It can be hard to spot as it is tucked in a corner in the plaza and the sign is not very large. Better than the plethora of chain restaurants around.

Great wings and chili! Hometown small business in strip mall. Owner is gracious and willing to fix it how you like it! Salads were fresh and yummy!

Had high hopes but just did not happen. Menu looked interesting BUT, turned out to be same old, same old. Thought I would try the Gumbo Soup — sounded interesting. Ordered a bowl but it was on the small side. Had andouille sausage, chicken and shrimp. Spiciness was so-so but it was like a bowl of gravy! The small shrimp was like mush(all 2 of them). This menu item could be removed. Wife asked for a tuna fish salad sandwich on rye and toasted vs grilled. The tuna was ok but the bread was toasted AND grilled! Total with two iced teas and no tip(yes, I did tip) was $ 20. I really see no reason to return to this place. Just had to add the following: NOISY behind the counter. So much noise created by the workers that we had trouble talking and the place was almost empty!

Visited for the first time based on a recommendation. The locals knew the owners on a first name basis. Very personable, comfortable feeling café. The waitress came to our table immediately, even though the place was busy. When the food arrived, it was nicely presented. I ordered a corned beef hash egg white omelet with home fries and a side order of biscuits and gravy. The Food was delicious, cooked as I ordered it. However, the biscuits and gravy were amazing. Crumbled sausage on top of the biscuit. The biscuit was so tender, it melted in my mouth. I will definitely visit again. Overall, the service was awesome, the prices were reasonable. Great and cozy place.

I had the Fish Fry and thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter had the crab cakes and loved them!.. and she knows crab cakes. The waitstaff was very attentive and timely. I was intrigued by the many options on the menu and plan on returning. I also enjoyed speaking to the other patrons in the restaurant. It was obvious there are a lot of regulars, which to me, speaks volumes.

Not impressed. My wife ordered a grilled blueberry muffin and it was over grilled. I ordered the 222. Two pancakes, two eggs, and two bacon. The eggs were fine. The pancakes were burned on one side. The bacon tasted like onions. Bacon had onion and potato on it when served. The waitress was panicked with four tables. She stressed about patrons sitting outside. Its a sidewalk café! Will not go back.

I was recently in The Villages visiting some family and we decided to try out this new restaurant. We absolutely loved the atmosphere in the place, it was very mom and popish. People were talking across the tables to one another, which made it feel very comfortable. I had the fish and chips which was outstanding and my husband had the smoked BBQ ribs — they fell right off the bone which is what a good rack of ribs is supposed to do! The staff was extremely pleasant and the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you received. I highly recommend you to stop in and try out this little gem, it’s worth the visit and your stomach will thank you! :)

Had high hopes based on other review. Had a hard time finding it as the sign above the restaurant doesn’t say sidewalk café. Walked in and seated ourselves. Seemed clean and our waitress was very friendly. Ordered the fish tacos and my friend had the BLT with fries. Took quite a while for it to come out. Fish tacos tasted very fishy like not so fresh and there was a lot of liquid coming out of the tacos. I ate one and could not eat any more. The BLT was skimpy on bacon and the slices of tomato were very thick. The bread was torn up pretty bad from I’m guessing when they sliced it in half and the bacon was cold. Fries were good. Overall very disappointed and I thought the prices were a bit high for diner food. The waitstaff and manager were very friendly though and I tipped well. Won’t be coming back though.
