When you go to the south there are certain things that you have to get, things that are universal throughout the south. Not like Barbecue, which each region has there own style and type, I am talking about the staples of southern cooking. One of these, at least for breakfast is biscuits and gravy. You can never go wrong by ordering biscuits and gravy and any restaurant that is truly southern will not only have biscuits and gravy, but they will make it fresh as well. Enter Perkins. From what I understand a relatively small chain of restaurants. I went there one morning with my family and ordered the biscuits and gravy and all I can tell you is that is was good. They were made perfectly, the biscuits were fresh, the gravy home made, it was exactly they way it should be. What a great place to visit, especially if you were like me and only there for a few days. I didn’t get to go to many places, but I am glad I got to go to Perkins.

First impressions are lasting impressions.
My wife and I entered the place, the carpeting was dirty and it seemed like a diner atmosphere as opposed to it being a restaurant. The server was prompt and overall she did a good job.
I ordered a BLT on whole wheat. The bacon was very greasy and the mayo had an off taste. I didn’t realize how off something in the sandwich was until later. I developed the worst case of cramps and diarrhea that lasted for more than 4 hours.
If you value your health, avoid this very poor quality restaurant. Go to Bob Evans for real family restaurant quality.
