Recently started to frequent this spot. I’ll keep it short but real. $ 2.99 breakfast is a great deal, you get plenty of food and it’s well flavored. The service is slow. real slow Will I return? Yes

Highly disappointed. The food is good but the service is awful. No «Welcome» when we walked in. No refill offered while we waited for our food. After 45 minutes we inquired on our order and we were told they forgot about it! So frustrating when you have a toddler who’s impatient to eat. Needless to say, we got up and left. Doubt I’ll come back.

I have been to this restaurant before in the past, the food was so much better back then. I went today and ordered burritos to go. I ordered the shredded beef burrito and the carne asada burrito, they were awful, I asked for no rice and of course they loaded it with rice and hardly no beans. They were both really dry and not very appealing. This will be the very last time I go here.

Went on 3.17.16 for lunch with two co-workers and the total experience was excellent. I ordered 1 tostada de ceviche, and 1 tostada de camaron. They were $ 4.95 each and were huge. I was barely able to finish the Ceviche andd had to take the shrimp tostada home. It was tasty and delicious. My co-workers had Enchilidas and Chile Reyeno. They were very happy with the quality, taste, and amount of the food. I tried the beans and they were excellent. Oh yea, I had a Strawberry margarita and it was huge and strong. I got a nice buzz. The service was excellent and our waiter Enrique was pleasant and very attentive. I had been to another restaurant on Valley named Amor Indio and it was double the price and half the quality. I will definitely be going back to Casa Jimenez. Thank you for a wonderful lunch and awesome experience.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to la puente many years ago. The food has always been great and I still love it. The last 6 times I’ve visited Casa J the customer service has gone down hill. At 1st I thought, Eh there having an off day. But 6 consecutive visits? I will miss Casa J & their amazing Micheladas. I’ve already found a replacement restaurant.

Wow been coming here for years. When the service is on it is good. When is is not it it REALBAD ! The only exception to the rule is the food! It is very good to say the least. Being a local resident the selection of good mexican food is slim. Casa Jimenez is good home style mexican cooking. So if service is not an issue at times come on down and enjoy some good quality mexican food at affordable pricing.

Came here a couple of times because my girlfriends dad liked the place. Nothing was awful, but I wasn’t crazy about any of it. Michelada was pretty good, though. Service was pretty uneven. Definitely nicer when I spoke Spanish. Divey, but to be honest I didn’t have too much to complain about except several heartburny meals.

The food itself rates my 4 stars, the service is just not there. I’ve been here many times and every time the food is great from the ceviche to the ayce menu and so on. BUT the service will keep you waiting, to sit, for drinks, refills, reorders etc. You really can’t blame them, it’s not a large place and there’s usually only 2 servers handling everything so we wait. If the food wasn’t so good it wouldn’t be worth it… but it is!

Well it’s about time i write a review. I’ve been coming here for years with family and with friends. The service here is always great. The food is great(duh that’s why I keep coming), and it’s nice & cozy. The parking lot is tiny but there’s street parking available usually. They have a great $ 10.99 all-u-can eat deal. There’s a chain of these«Casa Jimenez» restaurants. I’ve been to three of them. THIS location is by far the best because of their food quality.

Food and service are great! Totally consistent every time I go. The Manager is super friendly. I sent a group of 10 friends there, and they all loved it.

Although it seems like a shabby hole-in-the-wall restaurant, it’s actually pretty good. The food is as authentic as a grandmother’s and the service is great. The waiters are cheerful and ready to get you anything you need. The food, if you get the famous dishes, are great. It may not be the freshest, but you definitely won’t get sick from it. Sharp flavors and good quality. Don’t order the salads. That’s not what mexican restaurants are known for.

I came to eat here with my sister and they only had one lady behind the register one waitress and one cook for a full house. We were standing in line for at least 25 minutes and it never moved. I mean I know that the waitresses must have been overwhelmed but that has nothing to do with us as a customer. The owners should know to hire more help and for them to be courteous enough to acknowledge us as customers that they’re doing their best to try to get us to sit down somewhere. My sister and I ended up leaving I never got to eat there. We ended up going next door to la Indiana which of the far better restaurant in my book anyway.

went to this place and was seated 5 minutes later. after awhiile some people was seated near us. They were Hispanics and soon after they were served chips and we still haven’t been served anything. We called their attention and was served. After a while the group that was seated after us were being asked for their orders. We patiently waited and after 15 minutes and we still were not asked for our order, at this point I couldn’t stand being set aside for their race to be given priority over the ones who came in after us just because they we Hispanics and we are not. For all I know in restaurants it’s first come first served SUCKS!!!

This place is a little bit of a local treasure. The locals all know about it and love it and the out of towners know about it and eat here when visiting or working in area. It is delicious homemade Mexican cooking for good prices. They have a great variety of all meals, meats and seafoods. The service is always good although the wait may be longer a bit longer sometimes as they do get very busy. Located in the heart of beautifully quaint downtown La Puente, If you are near the area, just go here!

Tried this place for the first time, we usually go to the one on Gale. This place is delicious. Had a craving for home made albondigas and this place has them. So tasty and authentic. We’ll definitely be going back.

Staff: polite and friendly I ordered the fajitas(beef and shrimp) $ 13.99 and«all you can eat $ 9.99» not the best Mexican food I had but not the worse. Not a bad experience but not my type of food.

I’ve come to this place many times for family dinners and for lunch with my mom. It’s always been delicious. I usually get a seafood plate, mainly shrimp, and I’ve never been disappointed. Very delicious and tasty. The service is nice and I will definitely keep coming here.

Okay, here’s my story… I called in an order today, and they said about 12 minutes. I arrived after about 10 minutes, and proceeded to wait another 15 minutes after that. There was tons of dirty trays, plates, etc that had been bussed from the tables piled on the counter where I was waiting to pay. Also, someone was literally smoking in the restaurant… that became illegal here in California decades ago. Sorry, but the food is not worth all of that.
