Windsor is SERIOUSLY underrated as the best place to find unique, beautiful formal and semi-formal dresses of very good quality for not a lot of money. Also, I learned from speaking with a sales associate at the North County Fair(Escondido) location last month, that Windsor does not get huge shipments of all the same dresses, maybe only 3 of one kind at a time, so you are not likely to run into another person at an event wearing the exact same dress! The store is split up approx 70 percent everyday fashion, 30 percent dresses. I can’t say enough how awesome their dress selection is, so the only way to know is to just check it out next time you are at the mall! You can browse them also at .

With respect to the other reviewer’s comments regarding clothing quality, I must still say that, truly, I am a fan of Windsor. Having scoured the mall for a dress that I could wear to a fancy wedding, and coming up with absolutely zero, a random woman in the mall suggested I look in Windsor… I thought she might have been missing a few branches from her family tree. I knew Windsor was a teenie-bopper store like Charlotte Russe or Forever 21 and I was pretty darn certain that I wasn’t going to find what I was looking for, but I was desperate. T-Minus 23 hours until ceremony time, and I needed a dress. So, I trudged over to Windsor and, lo and behold, I found a Valhalla of dresses in every price point, and as written in the other reviews, every level of quality. I must have tried on 30 dresses and found that their sizing scheme was similar to a a stop sign in California… merely a suggestion. That being said, I did find a couple of dresses that were absolutely perfect and I actually had to agonize over which dress I would choose. I was surprised at how far their prices ranged(from $ 80 — $ 350) and finally settled on the dress I really wanted which was(sigh) at the top of the price scale. Now, I think I’m a pretty savvy shopper so I did a little in-dressing-room internet search for a dress by the same designer. As it turns out, the dress price was right on par with other stores and the dress I wanted was designed by a guy who specializes in dresses for red carpet and pageant-type events. So, the moral is, if you’re going to shop at Windsor, be patient, try on lots of sizes, and be prepared to spend a little extra for a quality dress. The majority of their dresses are cheaply made and won’t last long, but they do have at least a couple of gems stashed on their racks so enjoy the hunt. I received a ton of compliments on my fancy dress at the wedding and I absolutely LOVED wearing it. Now I’m looking for more excuses to put it on again, like maybe a gala fundraiser, opening night at the symphony, or maybe just going to the laundromat.

This store really disappoints. I was expecting colorful, trendy gorgeous dresses at a price I wouldn’t feel guilty about. Instead, I got cheap polyester, sky-high mark-ups, rude staff, and weird colors(chartreuse anyone?). Although the prices aren’t too bad($ 50-$ 80 for a dress) the quality is so hideous that I wouldn’t buy those dresses for $ 30. Maybe $ 20. One particular dress(the only decent one in the store) had some pretty sequins on it. I tried it on, and of course, they immediately started coming off. They weren’t sewn on, they were glued maybe?(and by the way, they weren’t coming off because I was too fat, I’m a size 2) I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone. A huge waste of time, and in fact, you’d find a better dress with better quality at Forever 21.
