I came to eat here with my boyfriend after school. We were so excited because the first time we tried it(over a year ago) it was so good and the employees there were so nice! However, this time it SUCKED! It started off the rude front cashier girl. As I was filling out the blanks on the receipt(tip and total amount) the rude cashier started pulling the receipt away Around 10minutes later we got our food only to be disappointed. The food did not taste the same. In fact it didn’t even taste all that great. The katsu chicken was hard and overcooked. Overall, our experience at this place was terrible. I would not recommend this place.

Trust me, this is worth the read. This place deserves half a star! And the only reason I would say«half a star» is because the place is «somewhat» put together. My 12 year old brother and I came in one day and ordered two teriyaki chicken bowls. As we drove home, my brother starts to eat his food in my car. While he’s eating my food, and enjoying it, he screams! After I stop the car to ask what’s wrong, HEPULLS A NAILOUTOFHISMOUTH! Not a finger nail, oh no. But a HARDMETALNAIL! Upon my return to the restaurant, I demand to speak to the manager. When the manager steps out, I display the nail on the counter and demand a full refund. the manager has the audacity to DENYMYREFUND! Word for word the manager tells me «the NAIL must have been mixed with the chicken from the manufacturer.» Not only did my refund get denied, but now I’ve learned that they receive their chicken from a MANUFACTURER? in other terms, processed meat! The manager wouldn’t refund me, and I told her«I’m going to post this on Unilocal.» And after that, she tells me «that’s okay, we’ll still get business.» Disgusting.

I was first impressed with the wide selection they seemed to have. My mother ordered a California roll and I ordered the chicken katsu plate. A few minutes later we were informed that the cook in charge of the rolls was off shift, so we were made to chose something else. The food that came out was mediocre at best; my katsu was just a shaved slice of chicken heavily deep fried, so thin that you would barely see the meat. To boot, we found slivers of aluminium and pieces of hair in the rice.

Rohey’s Wok & Grill has a large wall menu of Asian-American dishes prepared by mixing authentic Korean cooking techniques with the highest quality ingredients. My family and I have eaten here many times and we really enjoy it. The food is delicious and prepared fresh as you order. Better then most restaurants that charge higher prices. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Today my wife ordered Yakisoba, chicken with vegetables, chow mien noodles and steamed rice($ 7.99). They do not skimp on the grilled chicken. Lots of grilled veggies and perfectly cooked noodles. I ordered the grilled fish(mackerel) with grilled veggies and steamed rice.($ 9.99). This was my first time having the fish and it did not disappoint. On a previous visit I had the chicken fried rice and it is fantastic! The food has been consistently good and certainly hits the spot.

I’ve eaten here since it opened a few years ago. Food is very fresh. Ive tried the bowls, dinners the sushi rolls and even the burritos. Everything is so good. Food os prepared fresh, when you order it, not pre cooked and kept under hot lights. Rice is not dry and hard, but fresh, soft and fluffy. From the spicy Bulgogi to the teriyaki and katsu plates, all very good. Too bad they are closed on Sunday. I see customers there for lunch, but go early on Fridays, cuz if you go in for dinner, it is very crowded and busy.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive lunch in La Habra, take a drive to Rohey’s across the street from Costco. They have a 4.99 bowl special that changes everyday and the food is cooked while you wait, not some steam table stuff that’s been sitting there for an hour. They have a good selection of Japanese/Korean food from bimbibap to Yakisoba, Bulgogi and chicken teriyaki along with a variety of rolls and even ramen. Prices are decent. I had a katsu plate for 5.99. Not bad and the portions were good and the food tasty. Definitely a good lunch hangout.

I was excited to try this place. I love Curry Chicken from a place in Arcadia so when this place advertised Curry Chicken in a Mag and it was on their menu I was ready to try it here. When we were ordering the man was very impatient and when he repeated back our order he got it all wrong. Then said we don’t have Chicken Curry. So we walked out. If you don’t have it, take it off the F&@?ing menu!!! And if you want new customers how about a better attitude. Act like you want people to enjoy the experience. I will never try this place again. There are too many places to eat at that are pleasant and offer what is advertised. We eat out maybe once a week and want the enjoy our time out.

This place is so much better than Flame Broiler and even Waba grille! They have nice size portions and the chicken bowl is ALWAYS on point. There was one week when we pretty much got Rohey’s 4 days in a row for dinner. Definitely a must try!

Great food! Love their sizzling plates and udon bowls. If you feel like some good Asian cuisine a little on the healthier side, this is a good option. Only downside, they do not have a restroom

I’ve come here three times once for Veggie Yakisoba, another time for boba, and one other time for boba. The veggie Yakisoba was wonderful but the boba, both times, was not good at all. The boba becomes hard and way too hard to chew and the smoothie is too icy and just not good.

We had the Orange chicken bowl and white rice and it was really tasty! Service is okay, but the food is good so it’s definitely worth a try. Nice little neighborhood eatery.

Kinda sad really. came in on a holiday weekend and the place was dead near dinner time, they claim to be open till 9 pm, but they only can make one kind of roll !? then they didn’t have edamame ?!? Not sure they should advertise Japanese cuisine.. They even crossed out half their Boba mix flavors and they blast signs all over the place a out selling them !.. not returning. I bolted to oeeshi across the street… sooo much better !

So, we started going to this Rohey’s Restaurant in 2014 bcuz it was close proximity to where we live, and also bcuz i wanted to help support a fellow Korean trying to make it as a restaurateur. BIGMISTAKE. I knew there must be a reason why there are never more than 2 – 3 customers eating inside the restaurant at the same time!(Drive by and check for yourself!) We usually order the salmon bento, which was priced about right at $ 9.99, although the entrée came with a small 3 – 4 oz piece of grilled slamon. Fine. So my gf and I had recently ordered this same salmon bento«to go» over the phone and upon pick up, they had increased the price of the salmon bento entrée from $ 9.99 to now $ 12.99! Yet the piece of 3 – 4 ounce piece of salmon remained the same. I was completely annoyed and when I asked the owners what the reason was for the rediculous & unjustified price increase… he said it’s due to his higher cost to purchase salmon. Really? Yeah right! All you get is the same 5 – 6 bites of salmon, salad, 4 pcs of a roll, and another small side, and they felt an increase in price for an additional $ 3.00 was necessary? After tax, my salmon bento box had cost over $ 14.00 and you can safely bet we will NEVER support this restaurant ever again, nor refer any of our friends to this location. There are MANY much better authentic korean or korean fusion restaurants just 5 – 10 minutes down Beach Blvd in the city of Buena Park. You are sure to get your monies worth there. I will bet anything that Rohey’s will be shut down for good by the end of 2015.

This place is actually really good. I’m surprised doesn’t have more reviews. I took one star off because the sushi is not the best but everything else is delicious. My favorite are the beef yakisoba and the spicy ramyon. The place is really clean. My kids who are picky eaters really like it here. The meat and noodles are very flavorful.

I drive by this place on my way home and decided to try it out. Ordered the Orange Chicken they had as a special for $ 4.99. First weird experience was, my bill came out to $ 5.97. I wondered, hmm, $ 4.99 plus tax is $ 5.97??? I said oh well let me check the bill with my change. Sure enough, he charged me the normal bowl price of $ 5.50 and not the price on the HUGETODAYSSPECIALSIGN $ 4.99. I thought to myself, whatever, its 51 cents. I sit down at a free table to wait for my food. There is a Hispanic couple waiting for their food as well. I dont mean to bring race into this but you will understand why soon enough. The owners seem to be Korean, and the lady politely brings out their soup first and soon followed with their main dishes. Than 15 minutes later the gentleman yells out Orange Chicken as he stands behind the counter. I was like HMMM, thats strange. You bring out the couples food, yet you are screaming to me to come pick up my food at the counter. Weird! And I’m korean. Not that race should matter, but koreans seems to think you dont have to treat other koreans with the same respect. Anyway, the food is decent, just like any other place. But ill pass my money to people that know how to treat customers, especially first time guys like me. I would’ve been going here almost 2 – 3 times a week based on how close it is to my house. But ill pass on ever going here again.

I’d give half a star if possible for this place. That’d only be due because it’s clean and well maintained. I came in, was greeted, ordered my food, and then sat down to wait. My drink spoiled all over the table because of the crappy cup lids they use and I had to ask TWICE to get napkins to clean it up myself. They either didn’t understand half of my cup had spilled or they didn’t care. A few minutes later I was given my miso soup, tiny salad, and scoop of rice and told my plate would be out in a few minutes when it was done. And I waited. And waited. I’m very patient but after about 25 minutes of watching them walk around in the back and looking at me, I asked when I was going to get my food. The lady got all flustered and said I should have spoken up sooner! I’m sorry… I guess it’s MYJOB to get your shit together for YOU. This is the first time I’ve EVER asked for my money back from any restaurant. And she didn’t even give me a full refund! The entire experience was grossly disappointing since I got to sit there waiting for my food that was never going to come while listening to the few other customers saying their food was pretty good. Seriously, these people need a MAJOR lesson in customer service. Also, the walls and menu have tons of pictures of sushi but not a single menu FOR the sushi. No prices, list, or options to be found. Even if the good is as good as some of the other reviewers have said, I wouldn’t subject myself to this level of service again.

If you’re in the area, its a must — meats are grilled over open flame for that mesquite flavor, portions are generous, and unlike 99% of teriyaki joints they DONOT make food in batches(most places will cook a few times during the day and warm it up during service) & considering that its made to order the service is generally fast. I had the fish katsu today and it was arguably the fattiest, most crispy piece of fried anything I’ve ever had. My wife and I got two giant plates of food for about $ 14 tax included. Always hoped that a small, yakitori spot would open in my neighborhood, and while a yakitori grill this place may technically not be, it certainly hits that spot. Bullseye

Excellent place to dine in or take out! It’s fast and deliciously fresh! The restaurant is always clean and surprisingly not too crowded during the evening. I always order the chicken yakisoba… they do not skimp on the grilled chicken! Lots of fresh grilled veggies and perfectly cooked noodles. My husband and I eat here at least 3 times a month and always have consistent dishes. There’s a large menu to choose from that has yet to disappoint us! I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some great Japanese/Korean fare!

this place is going through an identity crisis. they did have an ownership change. Chicken plate: very generous portions and economical. Chicken bowl: not too shabby but not enough. Philly roll: no different than other places. The salmon tasted good, not über fresh but no old either. Can’t really complain. the food is economical and is worth it. happy grubbings.
