Had a bad experience with a Door Dash Order, placed order online and paid for Guacamole and addition Jalapenos but was not recieved. The Order was paid for in full and when delivered it was missing those items. Staff needs to pay extra attention to orders online and any notes placed by its patrons especially when extra was paid for.

Food is great. Service was good too. I ordered the bowl-rito and I was surprise how big it was. My husband ordered the 3 chicken faultas and they looked delicious. I will come back. Thanks

The flavor and taste of chronic tacos is amazing. The staff is nice, fast, and friendly. The only reason I didn’t 5 star is from some or many items being over priced and even more that the pricing increased. The GMROI must be skyrocketing from this.

So far I’ve had grilled fish and carnitas tacos a few times. Pretty good food, reasonably fast service. Fair prices. I’ll continue to patronize! YMMV…

I usually go here when I have coupons and when I am already in the area of this location. I really love their tacos and burritos. They have several toppings to add and the hot sauce’s are good. A very satisfying meal. The food is exceptional. Otherwise I would have given the overall rating a 3. The location and the restaurant itself could be much better.

This is like 3rd time here 1st2 times didn’t warrant a response as my Tacos sucked and they are over priced. This time I got a shrimp burrito fried shrimp. The shrimp are fried fresh for your burrito can’t ask for any better than that the shrimp are big and we all know size matters I added little cheese onions Spanish rice black beans and some guacamole. Tasted good my only complaint is the tortilla I want a burrito which should be longer than it is wide. Simply because it fits into my mouth that way I got a football which tasted great was hard to eat way to much beans and rice my meal was like $ 12 after 10%off for checking in on Unilocal.Seems expensive for a burrito/football and a drink. I try this place like every 3 or 4 years hoping it’s gotten better but the best thing about this place is the name. Gerry0625

Chronic tacos was recommended to me by a friend. I needed a place that caters for parties of less then«50» people! We had a party for my moms 80th birthday. I ordered food for 35 people. I was so impressed with Blake’s professionalism. The food was Fantastic and our order was received perfect. Meats, rice, beans and all the fixings were a hit! My mom loved it!!! Thanks Blake for a great experience!!! We’ll be calling you again!

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – ESSENTIALTIPS&EXECUTIVESUMMARY: — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – # EDIT: After receiving a message from a guy associated with the Chronic Tacos chains and reading his explanation for the increased prices, I gave my review some careful thought and decided to update it from 2 to 3 stars. While I make this update, I still believe that the La Habra Chronic Tacos can increase the portion size a bit or offer something extra to make up for the higher prices. When I compare this shop against other restaurants I’ve been to, I feel that this shop ranks below them in value. # My two comparables are Oscar’s(surf & turf taco) and Chipotle(burrito). Chronic«wins» against both with a higher price and smaller portion size. # Chronic Taco’s specialty shrimp taco was tasty I must admit. I was trying to hate it because I had 2 mediocre experiences 7 years ago, but the taste did stand up to my scrutiny. At $ 4.60 per shrimp taco though, I don’t think I can give them 3.5 stars to round to a 4. It’s a tiny taco similar to what you get from a taco truck. Also, the burritos here are like $ 8+ too. # Taste is 3.5 stars while the price is at an iffy 2 stars. Entry level tacos are at $ 1, mid-range at $ 2 – 3, and $ 4 plus… let me tell you, at $ 4+ per taco, you better impress me because you’re declaring you’re making gourmet tacos with farm-to-table ingredients with abuelita stone-grinding maize. Wait, I didn’t see that. # If you really really need a taco fix right now and you’re 2 feet away from the door, then sure walk right into Chronic Tacos. However, I’m not sure if you’re making the best use of your dollar. Try it out and you can decide. # There were only a 2 small groups of people in the shop when I walked in and it’s not hard to understand why. I’m sure the majority of the population don’t feel the value is there. I’ve never seen it busy here ever since my first visit. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – MYEXPERIENCE: — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – I was in high school when I visited Chronic Tacos 7 years ago. A friend mentioned this place saying that he heard it was good so here I was as a teenager, charging down Palm Street to Lambert Road in my ’98 Camry from the Sonora High School parking lot to this little strip mall next to Home Depot. Vroom vroom I went for half a mile… then I parked. Chronic Tacos is a chain that apparently originated in Huntington Beach. It was started by some bros I think and for some reason, people really liked the tacos leading to the boom of the original location. Like any restaurant owner would do to make some real money, they franchise it out. This is one of those franchise locations. Let’s get back to the story. So 7 years ago, I visited this location for the first time only to find that that they ran out of carnitas and beef and I could only order chicken tacos. Err, okay. As a young and naïve consumer, I accepted their answer and purchased some tacos. Then my 2nd visit, they ran out of beef and chicken and I could only order pork. Err, okay I said again, but I didn’t know better as a customer. I accepted it and moved on. At $ 4.60 per shrimp taco(5 tiny shrimps), I have to wonder how this Chronic Tacos has stayed alive to do business. Every time I made a visit, it was always quiet with maybe a few customers. I’ve never seen a line or all of the tables taken. Oscar’s Mexican Seafood down in San Diego, has their famous surf & taco priced at $ 4.60 and even I think that it’s still overpriced because they’re not using top line ingredients. How do you think I would feel about Chronic Tacos? I made the decision to come back a few days ago when I was buying bug traps at Home Depot that I got curious about this taco shop. Vroom vroom I went in my Nissan Altima. Driving like 50 meters from the Home Depot parking lot to the connecting strip mall lot. There’s no inventory turnaround at all. The cook in the back only began cooking my 5 tiny shrimp on the stove pan a few seconds after I ordered. Normally, a restaurant with a decent flow of customers would have to constantly cook shrimp and switch out cooked trays with the empty ones, but nope not in this case. 5 tiny shrimp sizzling on a pan, awaiting their final destination of tortilla in the province of La Habra. Oh yeah, I could not understand the lady taking my order either. I’m really good at picking up English from the most accented of all people, but she was mumbling and I don’t know… I just couldn’t understand her. It made it very difficult to order a single shrimp taco. It couldn’t have gotten much harder. Somehow I left the shop with the taco, thought it tasted better than I expected until I remembered the price. 3 stars is fair enough.

Love the food here. It’s very delicious and the portions are HUGE — I can never finish it! It is a little bit pricey but it’s well worth it to me. I always get the chicken burrito with a side of chips and guacamole. How could you go wrong with that? So delicious. This is a place I always stop by when I’m in the mood for Mexican food but don’t want to drive far and someplace quick. I personally think they close too early. I think it’s like 8:00? I like my late night snacks. If they were open later I would be coming in more often.

So as I site here happily eating my tacos, I figured I should write a review. The people here are always happy and greet me when I come in. Sliding up to the ordering area, you get to select any items you like, and watch as they prepare your taco, burrito, bowl or salad. With tons of options, it’s nice to be able to try something new when you come in-although I’m pretty boring and stick with my usual order. Chronic is close to my work, and I appreciate the quick service they provide! Never had an issue with food, it’s always great and hits the spot! I mean, when doesn’t a taco or burrito sound good?

The food here is not that bad but the pricing is horrible I ordered a steak burrito with guacamole and it was slightly over $ 9 Not only that but they skimped on the steak and guacamole For $ 1.50 you get half an avocado at other places and here they give you two small scoops of their guacamole. My last time here was over a year ago and I didn’t plan on coming back but today I was starving and local and decided to stop in and try it again. With the portion I received for the pricy price I paid I will not be coming back anymore. I’ll stick to the other competitor

I love me some Chronic Tacos! Great location, nice staff, killer AL Pastor! I used to go with the grilled or fried fish, but since I have tried their Al Pastor I am hooked! I prefer the tacos over the burritos, which are also good but all the other flavors really mask the meat. Much better than Chipotle and other US Taco chains, great seasonings and sauces, cool vibe and daily specials to watch out for!

Well, I love Chronic Tacos anyway… so of course I love the food here. It’s a bit of a bitch to get in and out of this location(depending on what time of day) but other times it’s a piece of cake, just a little out of the way is all. It’s always been clean and the décor is awesome(as all Chronics should be). All the employees have consistently been the bomb and friendly. I have no complaints at all! Thank you for being local for me so I can eat you when I please! CHEERS!!! = = = = = = = = = = = Unilocal Check-In Offer = = = = = = = = = = =

The fish tacos here were good. I would come back but nothing super special. I’m not really a fan of Chronic Tacos and this location was like the rest. Small seating area and the staff was kind of slow. But they were super friendly. Not really much to say than the place gets the job done if you want some tacos.

Got a carne asada 13″ burrito.($ 7.07) Its basically like a chipotle burrito. Im not as much of a fan of the American style burrito such as chipotle; I prefer the mexican style such as Molca salsa, albertos, etc. They got a tv. Service was average. Basically, felt like this was chipotle, but it wasn’t.
