We visit Lucca’s on a regular basis! The sandwiches for lunch(or dinner) are outstanding, the dinner menu items we have tasted have always been top notch, and the pizza is great(try the prosciutto and arugula). My favorite meal is the meatball salad — best meatballs I’ve ever tasted, next to my own. Service has always been good, and the new expanded space is well done — even a party room for a private event. We will continue to enjoy Lucca’s and highly recommend it!

We have been to Lucca’s many times in the past few years. I think their expansion was a great idea. The food is great and the atmosphere is also. Can’t go wrong with eating here.

This place was Yum Oh! I stopped by for a lunch with a friend and was not disappointed. Server staff was exceptionally kind. Atmosphere was cute for ‘Italian’ digs. We were checked on without being bothered and we were even allowed to split our last glass of wine. Great lunch spot while shopping in the downtown LaGrange area!

My husband and I love Lucca’s! It is our neighborhood date-night spot. We have been here numerous times since moving to the area. We have never had bad service. In fact, we have always had above average service. We love their pizza and their pasta. Overall, it is a great place!

I’ve been a customer and have been attending this restaurant for 10 years. They expanded in the last year or so from a small cozy 6 – 7 table restaurant that served quality Italian food and great pizza to a 30 plus table larger restaurant dishing out very low quality with not caring on what they serve. I ordered baked Lasagna. I asked for very little sauce has the menu said it was served with red sauce on top of the Lasagna. My 7 year old daughter ordered pasta with butter and cheese. I fully understand that lasagna takes a while to make so the 40 minute wait can be understood for the dish. The food arrived and was very unsatisfactory. My daughters pasta was hard and chewy, like it was made 2 days ago and had no cheese on it. My lasagna was swimming in red sauce, witch at this point was to late to send back unless I wanted to wait another 40 min. I started to eat the hard over sauced lasagna when something sharp cut the inside of my mouth. To my surprise it was 3 pieces of tin foil in the middle of the sloppy lasagna. I called the waitress over she took the dish away and showed it to the chef. She didn’t charge me for the lasagna and was embarrassed. No managers or owners came over to my table so I assume they don’t care and are happy serving food with tin foil in the middle. To say the very least I will not be going back and will urge people I know In the area not to go as this once great place as low standards and takes customers for granted.

From a delivery standpoint, they are consistent and meet their estimated delivery times. We still like their pizza, although it is a little more expensive than others in the area. They have also added online ordering, which works well, although the minimum time to deliver is 90 minutes with an online order.

This is my first check in here, but I have been here probably five times previously. As to the poor service comments, I have never experienced it. One day the place was packed and our table had the setting sun laser like ruining the dinner. I asked management if they could arrange something. As crowded as they were they set up a table toward the back for us and moved our party in about two minutes. A bad situation made good. Wish the manager had moved the sun or altered the axis of the earth instead. What a lazy guy. Tonight I had the special, ravioli and pork, yeppers. And half my moms raw burger, yep yeppers. Canoli to go for desert. Sicilian lemonade as my adult beverage. I am noticing hair on my chest. Kerrine has been our our server. Attentive but not lurking. Anticipatory but not in my eyeballs. She treads the fine line like the Wendalla. s walk the tight rope. My only complaint is the acoustics are far from optimal when the place is crowded. Tonight it’s about 75 decibels. Hardly deafening but hard on casual conversation. That issue aside my highest recommendation for good Italian eats

Let me start by saying we order from here often and have eaten in the restaurant several times, unfortunately, that’s over. Went last night. Service was slow, and it wasn’t packed. My wife ordered wine-bad decision. Clearly they leave bottles open for days. It was musty. When we told the waitress she acted as though she was a wine aficionado and tried to downplay it, but she was clearly wrong. At some point the manager comes in the room and puts the tv so he can check the Hawks score. Doesn’t ask anyone in the room, who are not watching it, just puts it on. It’s a restaurant, not a sports bar. Food comes, meh, you’ve served better. Not your best night.

Super disappointed. Super expensive. Super slow. Terrible customer service. Had dinner guests and ordered pizzas, it came 20+ minutes late, and was ice cold. Ice cold. We ate, and when the company left I called to explain my embarrassment. I was told unfortunately since I waited they couldn’t do anything. On top of other than an bleak apology, Britney put me on hold three times. Unfortunate but that response was frustrating. We used to spent $ 100 a week there, not sure I can get past her indifference.

Tonight was a beautiful fall night to eat al fresco and Lucca’s did not disappoint. Service was agreeably relaxed. We had the stuffed mushroom appetizer — tasty but soggy. The special salad of the day, pan-roasted branzino over Mediterranean salad was outstanding, truly an excellent salad. The fish was well prepared complete with crispy skin and moist flesh, and the salad had lots of goodies in it including fresh greens, haricots verts, boiled egg, kalamata olives, white sardines, grilled lemon, garlic croutons, perfectly dressed with a light lemon vinaigrette. YUM! A real feel good dinner!

My wife and I had high hopes for this restaurants, but walked out disappointed. It was a very busy night and we were told it was a 25 minute wait, which turned out to be closer to 45. No big deal as we sat at the bar in the front where the bartender was very friendly and took great care of us. We got a table in the main dining area fairly close to two other tables, which wasn’t awkward, but I couldn’t hear my wife from across the table, since everyone seemed to be shouting. I’m not sure if it has to do with the acoustics of the place, but if you’re expecting a place to have nice quiet conversation, this isn’t the place. We were greeted by a server who didn’t seem to be in a good mood, but she warmed up as the night went on, although she wasn’t very attentive. It was a busy Friday night with many screaming children, so I’m wasn’t surprised. That kind of work environment would probably be deemed hazardous by OSHA. The aesthetics of the place are pleasing and warm, which was the biggest plus. Our food took a while to come out and it was a bit disappointing. My wife’s food was very basic and my burger tasted like fish, but I was so hungry that I just put it down without complaining. I’m guessing that the cooks aren’t properly managing their stations, which could be a big problem for someone with a seafood allergy, but I’m no expert on that. I think we will give the place a second chance, but we’re going to pick a time when things won’t be as busy.

The arugula and prosciutto pizza with roasted garlic is the bomb. We also had a good garden salad with balsamic dressing. Great environment, will return again and again!

Was just here tonight(7÷12÷15) && food is amazing(as always) & not too expensive, its decently priced. The reason why I am giving this 3 stars is because of the service. The service was not too great. We saw the busboys more than our server. The busboys brought out our food, filled our waters, boxed our food, & took our check from us. We saw our server a couple times until we ordered our food & then he just disappeared. Well actually, he went more to the table next to us than ours. We didnt get offered more soda, he didnt even come & ask if everything was okay. Heres a hint to the server Paul, just because your table is young, doesnt mean you’re going to get a bad tip & to just ignore us… We ended up tipping you 15% anyways, maybe if you would’ve visited us as much as the table next to us it wouldve been better.

I was so excited to try this place! It was a huge let down! It was the most awkward experience my friend and I have ever had! I actually think the waitress hated us! It was bizarre. In the end the nice gentleman server finished up helping us and she totally disappeared. My friend and I never leave under 25% tip and left between 9−10%. The service was awful! I wish I could say the food made up for it. It didn’t! She had the chicken vesuvio and I had chicken marsala. Both dishes were so incredibly salty my feet were actually swollen by the time we walked to the car. With all of the amazing places to eat within blocks I would avoid this one!

1st time here for me, it was just awesome. The service was excellent. Calamari was plentiful and the veggie pizza with whole wheat crust was delish. Can’t wait to go back and try some more

Solid restaurant with well above average food. Would’ve given 4 stars but it needs more differentiation from other Italian places around town. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely recommend you going here for a very good to excellent meal. Standard faire on the menu choices though. Nice bar area but limited seating.

I was in there tonight w a party of 7. We were seated at 6:10. Service was horrible and our meals were brought out 2 at a time. Everyone was halfway through dinner when my husband and my mother in laws food was finally brought out. We had to wait for our server to come back to get drinks. I actually went and ask the bartender who the manager was and he said he was. I explained everything and he said, oh ok! Oh Ok,? I said to just have the girl bring the check. She brought the check and asked if everything was ok, I said service was very bad and her exudse was, it’s busy. Don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Review from our children’s birthday party of 32 guest(24 adults, 8 kids): Pros: Excellent Food Server was very nice Cons: — Room was not set up 10 minutes before guests set to arrive — Server was not informed by planner of details we had discussed — 1 server for 24 adults with a host bar, guests sat without drinks — Instead of spending time with guests I was taking drink orders and chasing down server — Food we had ordered and paid for was not served(I called guests to find out if they had seen/had the appetizer and not one that I spoke with said they did.) When I called and asked about it, the planner told me the owner himself even saw that appetizer go out. If it in fact did no one I asked had seen it — No salad plates brought out, guests ate on small appetizer plates — The plates they brought out with the pizzas were ice cold, straight from the freezer, server did not seem phased I don’t think this was the servers fault, that is why we still tipped her almost 30%, she really was doing her best, but instead very poor management and planning skills on the part of the owner/planner. Only saving grace was the food really was excellent. I’m not entirely sure I would recommend this place for a larger party, definitely would for dinner though.

I only wish I could give it more stars… As the current Duke of Lucca’s, I’ve held off on giving any type of review. But now, after having eaten at least a dozen lunches and dinners here(and drank numerous cocktails), I feel it is time for me to speak my mind. It is time to clear the air on the food, the service, the location and especially the ridiculous reviews on this website. First; the Food. Being the most important part of the holy trinity it is important to cover this first. Excellent food has the ability to cover a lot of sins. And the food here could make up for anything. The menu here is outstanding, the food quality is amazing and the portions are righteous. The pizza is excellent and the more creative you are, the better is gets. The orecchiette with Italian sausage and rapini is beyond compare. The meatball salad is every paleo-dieting idiots dream dish come true. It’s all good, my friends. Next up: the Service. They are all professionals and know how to run a tight ship. They are friendly, fun, and most helpful with food/drink recommendations. And they do not take reservations. They don’t have to. And: the Location. It’s in La Grange. The city that Riverside only wishes it was. There is ample parking just west and plenty of tables if you come early. I like the corner of the bar where I can watch Wayne make insane cocktails. Got a few people — see if you can’t get that awesome booth. And about the bad reviews? Ignore them. Because, if your kids«happen to be starving» late on a Friday night, don’t bring them. Lucca’s is fine dining and, in my opinion, too good for anyone’s kids anyway. Good thing DCFS doesn’t read restaurant reviews or they might find another family to feed your kids for you. Because it is a for profit restaurant I’d hope they would seat 6 adults ahead of you. Did someone say«bland» cheese pizza? Well, cheese pizza is supposed to be bland. That’s why nobody likes it. Hit me up, I’ll buy you the best damn pizza you’ve ever put in that hole under your nose. I’m the Duke of Lucca’s and my word is beyond contestation.
