Banana Macadamia Pancakes were delicious, fluffy and nuts were halved(which was great, I’ve had some that were a burnt purée of nuts not even resembling a macadamia nut)! The Lilloki syrup to die for! The omelet was delicious and was not ala cart like other restaurants. Potatoes were great and the Bloody Mary’s were good! Appearance wise the restaurant is typical Hawaiian, a lil beat up from the climate… but the food makes up for that! You get a lot of food for your bucks! We had breakfast at one of the shopping malls close by that had 4 stars, don’t believe that, spent the same amount there and no bloody Mary’s and omelet was ala cart. What a waste of $. This will be my go to breakfast spot next time we visit Poipu

Just ok. It was not busy at all and were seated right away. A little hard to find. The view was towards the golf course.

I enjoyed it. I ordered Loco Moco. It was very tasty. My wife ordered her breakfast and it came completely opposite. We should have sent it back but we were getting attacked by little flies. Her eggs were runny. Her toast was the wrong bread. Her bacon was limpy. The service was quick and friendly. Prices fair but…

This was the only restaurant we went to twice during our 7 day stay. The pineapple pancakes were amazing and the fresh fruit was fantastic. My wife loved this place. You can see the ocean and the mountains from the patio. I cannot comment on the other meals, but breakfast is a must for anyone staying on the south side of the island. As a bonus, it was NOT way over priced like most breakfast places in Kauai.

Great Loco Moco and good Bloody Mary. We were a table of 8 on a Sunday morning and everyone enjoyed their food. Good value for the price. Nothing fancy but would love to come back. Staff, including Joe, was attentive and friendly.

Solid portuguese sausage and eggs breakfast right on the golf course and reasonably priced. The bloody mary is ok, but not great. Next time I will try the corned beef hash or the biscuits and gravy — both looked very good.

If you’re expecting a swanky clubhouse meal, you’ve got the wrong spot. Joe’s is a local place to grab a hearty meal without blowing $ 25 a person. The wait staff is extremely friendly. The place is a bit rundown and is certainly due for a revamp, but not deserving of just three stars. It’s a four for sure for the value.

mediocre food. Be prepared to be visited by 10ish nasty big flies! and they are aggressive too! it was so disturbing to us that we could not enjoy the mediocre food. It is a shame that the owner does not do anything to fix this. Furniture is also run down, reminds me of a cafeteria in a very old nursing home.

I’ve been coming to Joe’s for years. Sad to say, they’re going downhill. Same old furniture and floor is so dirty. Went here for lunch and the flies were unbelievable. I cannot even convey how bad the flies were. At one point I looked down and there were bugs in my sandwich. I sent it back — didn’t even get to try one bite. They sent me out half of the manager’s leftover sandwich in a box to take home. Totally bizarre, and I didn’t want it, still charged us for the original sandwich order too. They brought over some little fan thing to get the flies away, didn’t do a thing because it was broken. Went back for breakfast another day — the banana macadamia pancakes are always good. Service was good, food was good. There were still some flies which was obnoxious. They have to do something to get rid of the flies. It’s also time for an update. Too much competition out there.

2011 and 2013 were fine. Just came back in 2015 and was disappointed. They still have the same old cheap lawn chairs. There are flies everywhere. Why can’t Joe invest in something to get rid of the flies. There are plenty of open air restaurants that don’t have fly problems. The worst part is Joe has got real stingy on food portions. I left the restaurant hungry. Feeling ripped off after a $ 35 breakfast bill for very little food. The place has just gone down hill and the owner is obviously more worried in cost savings(e.g. new solar panels in the parking lot), rather than cleaning this place up and improving the restaurant.

Food was good. But unfornately way to many bugs flying by! Not enjoyable when food is around

We come in every year for breakfast! Amazing eggs Benedict and very nice service. Nice views too, you look out on the golf course while eating. On a sunny day this is an excellent restaurant to go to

Very good breakfast. Great tasting eggs, pancakes and French toast … I tried them all. Coffee is ok, but not the best. View is awesome, but get there early to avoid the sun. The owner is great. He always visits with you to ask about you and how your meal is. Definitely worth a visit during your stay in Kauai.

We had asked a local about where we could get breakfast and he sent us to Joe’s in the Green. We were seated quickly and our server was great! The food was extremely good. We got some pancakes for the kids which they loved and some French toast and the egg and cheese croissant was delicious. The breakfast burrito was to die for! a++ place!

I’ve eaten here with my husband on a few trips to Kauai. We love the macadamia nut pancakes. The are fluffy and indulgent — especially with the coconut or lilikoi syrup. On our most recent visit, I got huevos rancheros and my hubby had the eggs benedict. He said the hollandaise sauce was fresh and lemony. The English muffin was very fresh too. My huevos were tasty. Refried beans were vegetarian, the cheese was not over the top, and the olives and spring onions added a nice flavor. Both came with home fries which were crispy but not dry. The coffee is flavorful and they give you your own karaff. It is open air with a pretty view of the golf course. You can see the ocean to the side too. Since it is open air, there are occasional flies. Maybe it’s seasonal, but during our last two visits we did not have any issues with flies. Every time we have been there the staff has been friendly, helpful, and efficient.

I was looking forward to this place after seeing Unilocal reviews. Staff was friendly, but everything else was a disaster. The lawn chairs were very sticky, my coffee canister and table was dirty, coffee was stale & bitter, and a hair was found on my french toast plate after I poured my syrup. Flies everywhere. Not impressed at all. Could have had a better experience(and food) at a generic Denny’s.

One word summarizes our experience. «Flies» Literally eating with one hand and fending off these aerial insects with the other. Food wise it was just decent. They were really cheap with their onion rings. The setting was nice being on the golf course but overall a sub par experience(pun intended)

I have been visiting joes for over a 13 years and they are always consistently great. Most recently I had gone for a breakfast visit. The day before I had been in the sun too long and could barely put clothing on. The hostess noticed my bright red legs and was so sweet and caring. She brought me aloe and explained to everyone at my table how to properly take care of me. The whole staff was wonderful including the cute little blonde bar tender(who should be put on more peak hours since she is so damn friendly!) who I hung out with when the boys wanted to hit balls in the sun. Yeah I wasn’t about to bake in the sun any longer and I couldn’t resist a little mimosa to make me feel better. I had the corned beef hash which was not out of a can thankfully. It came tucked inside a potato skin with scrambled eggs and hash browns. Everything about this place is wonderful from the staff to the food. I will be visiting joes for another decade! Love it!
