The price is too much for the food that you get and the food Does not have good taste

Standard hotel place for pricey casual fare in a convenient spot. Got the burger, nachos supreme, and kids’ grilled cheese. Everything was fine… nothing was remarkably good, but then again nothing was an overpriced disappointment. So it’s not a tourist trap in that sense. The shaved ice was pretty good with condensed milk($ 6). Got the lemon lime and papaya flavors, kids loved it! It was their first hawaiian shaved ice. They let you choose up to three flavors too.

Menu is standard bar fare with some local flavour thrown in. Good place to find some shade, grab a drink and watch whatever sporting event might be on. In my case(NBA finals and the Stanley Cup). Staff a very friendly, so are all the patrons. Always happy to strike up some conversation. Started with a fruit smoothie pool side to keep cool. Very delicious and refreshing. A bit later had the fish tacos in the shade of the bar and I was surprised at how delicious they were. Most of the time you don’t expect much from poolside dining but there tacos were delicious. Hot and fresh. Good salsa in the side and a nice light chipotle mayo. Good choice for something filling but not heavy.

The drinks here were delicious! The piña colada, tai chi, and lava flow became quick favorites of mine! The lava flow has ice cream in it– hello, delicious! The prices were a bit high. $ 14 per alcoholic drink and I ordered a burger one day for $ 18. The drinks also don’t seem very strong. It usually takes a beer or two to get me tipsy; I drank 3 – 4 cocktails by the pool one day and I didn’t feel anything.

Love this awesome pool bar. The bartenders are awesome and it’s just perfect Hawaii. Yes, the prices are high but that’s to be expected. The nachos are amazing! We special ordered a great rock Margarita, yum!

The hot dog kids meal was pricey at $ 10 but the hamburger kids meal was actually a pretty good deal at $ 10. You get the burger/dog plus chips/raw veggies/fruit and a drink. Kids loved their meals. The reason for the four stars rather than five is because The price and one of the waitresses wasn’t accommodating. I ordered three kids meals at The Dock rather than from the pool waitress. I waited and waited where they told me to(where the waitresses pick up their orders). After a long while, I asked if they could deliver the food to where we were sitting by the pool. I wanted to get back to the kids who were swimming in the pool. I didn’t realize it was going to take that long. A waitress(young female) told me I could go wait at a table a couple feet from where I was sitting. In other words, no, she wasn’t going to bring me my food. This really made me mad especially since I had paid a tip even though I wasn’t originally planning to have someone deliver. After a few more minutes of waiting, another waitress(older woman) saw me waiting, asked me where I was sitting, and offered to deliver my food to me.

The Dock is a casual poolside restaurant at the Grand Hyatt. My husband and I ate here several times and each time the food was good and service was great. What I liked about the Dock was that it’s located right by the pool, so you can swim to your hearts content and then get out and have your lunch right by the pool. They have a couple of seating areas so check out the one which has a little balcony to it. The drinks there were very nice and tropical and the food was standard fare but it was flavorful and not greasy! They do have some healthy options like salad but I usually ended up eating the chicken burger or fries and each time I was happy with my food! Prices are high but then again its the Hyatt and you’re on vacation :)

I ate here several times last week with potential clients at a conference. The service was great, the staff was attentive and the food was delicious. I had the Ahi Salad, Turkey Panini and fish sandwich. All were great. The half/half basket is a must.

The food and size of the drinks are the strong point at The Dock — my wife end I each ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and they were both great. I’m not a big pulled pork fan but this sandwich could make a convert out of me. The drinks were huge — you only need one to have a great meal. The reason for three stars rather than four was, as we have seen at some other places in the island, the service and pricing. The drinks were big, but also $ 14 each. The sandwiches weren’t cheap either and sides(like fries) are a la carte and pretty expensive themselves. The service was just bad — slow to take our orders, slow to bring out the food and drinks, slow to bring out the check. When our food was brought out, the waitress offered to bring condiments(like catsup) over. She never did — I ended up getting up and hunting them down myself.

I did not enjoy The Dock. Over cooked fish tacos and a pulled pork sandwich that left much to be desired.

Sought refuge at The Dock following a morning downpour, but fortunately it was time for lunch. Nothing fancy in the surroundings, it is the poolside restaurant at the Grand Hyatt. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by both the food and the presentation. The bride had the fish sandwich(see pic) and was really happy with the selection. Came with a chutney which was great. If you are one of those mainlanders(as is the bride) who likes tartar sauce, order it up front as they have to hand make it. And be aware that you will have just inadvertently labeled yourself as an outsider. We split an order of the summer rolls to start, excellent mix of veggies and chunks of chicken served in fresh rice paper with a mildly spicy peanut dipping sauce. Refreshing, light and well presented. I then had the pulled pork barbecue sandwich which was served with two onion rings piled on top in yet again, an amazingly good presentation for a poolside café. The sandwich itself as excellent, lots of meat, not overly done on the sauce and I ended up having cut it up and eat to as there was just too much of it to eat as a traditional sandwich. Two sandwiches and an app ran $ 46. Pretty standard for resort pricing. Great food, great portions!

The Dock is the poolside restaurant at the Grand Hyatt. We ate lunch here several times during our stay and both times the food and drinks were very good. Only downside is the price. For nachos, fish tacos, and 2 drinks, the bill was $ 77…a little steep if you ask me. Service was hit and miss depending on who your server was.

The Dock is a standard Poolside Bar and Grille establishment. Menu has ample options, I had the Jerk Spiced Ahi Salad twice and the loaded nachos. All were average as well as the service. The ahi salad was $ 18 and the nachos were $ 13. Drinks are $ 10 – 14. It is the only immediate option if you are spending the day at the pool.

Ate lunch here almost every day during our vacation. Every meal was very good. Really liked the Dekine chicken sandwich. Only complaint is that the pool side service was horrible. We always had to go to the bar to order food or drinks. A good server could make a killing on tips here, we were mystified at the lack of service. But, the food was solid.

I needed to grab a bite before I checked out of the hotel so this was really convenient. There were quite a number of food options from healthier salads to unhealthy burgers and kalua pork sandwiches. Guess which I got. You’d be correct if you said kalua pork! I’m not a health nut and am not in Hawaii to go on a diet, but boy was this sandwich not good for me. There was orange oil dripping from it, and they gilded the lily when they topped the pork with two onion rings. Talk about 400 extra calories I didn’t need. I must’ve been really hungry because it actually tasted decent.

This is the casual poolside restaurant at the Hyatt. We ate here twice, once when we arrived at the hotel while waiting for our room to be ready, since it was the only thing open. At the Hyatt you are pretty remote and lacking convenient food options. The second day, we had a poolside cabana so we ordered lunch from here. The food is pretty good but grossly overpriced, as with everything at the resort hotels and much of Hawaii. Cocktails were not very strong but tasty. The pulled pork Sandwich was good(and I’m not really a fan of pork).

We weren’t expecting much when we ordered lunch with some friends by the bar, but we were pleasantly surprised. Two ordered the chicken sandwich and loved it, I had the turkey club, which was also very good. I never have too much meat on a sandwich, but this one I had to take a little off. The fries they served were really good as well. service is just okay by the bar, but the food did come really fast. Again, food was actually really good.

I had the fish tacos twice. Really great! The fish had great flavor! Not too much sauce on the tacos just perfect! They serve them with some black beans and salsa. Absolutely loved them!!!

The Dock deserves 3 stars for food and service. At around $ 14 each, the cocktails were yummy but weren’t very strong. So it was hard to order just one. My favorite cocktails were the the Mai Tai and the Lava Flow(a pina coloda with strawberry purée). The food included salad, sandwiches, fries, and small bites. There was nothing too heavy especially if your were going for a swim before or after. It’s the only poolside dining option. I liked the spring rolls and the fish tacos. The Dock menu is spread out with a bar, a small restaurant, and waiters moving around the pools.

The Dock is the poolside diner at the Grand Hyatt. As such, the selection is good; you can get the signature Hyatt drinks(my favorite is the Mt. Waialeale cooler, basically a refreshingly light pina-colada-esque beverage with soda water, coconut rum, and pineapple juice.) You can also get sandwiches, fries, and other light snacks. For what it is, it is tasty without being too overpriced. I am a fan of the fish tacos, which are well-portioned and have a tasty sauce. Don’t let the birds get your meal! They’re pretty crafty.
