New location in the Old City is a dream come true. The décor is fantastic. Matt has done such a great job! Yum. Looking forward to coming back over and over. The Old City is on the way back. Thanks to folks like OCJava and GGTamale.

Really good tamales. Only managed to try a couple different flavors over various stops at Market Square Farmers Market.
A few flavors that I’ve been wanting to try have sold out before I can get to it.

Heard all the hype about these Tamales and went to Farmers Market downtown and tried them out. Unfortunately, it’s all true and now I’m hooked on the darn things! Thai Chicken is my favorite and he has a good collection of hot sauces available for those of us who like to take it up a notch. I echo all of the other positive comments about the fresh, organic ingredients, and available vegan/​vegetarian options, friendly service, etc.

Good Golly Tamale nourished our hungry guests at our post-​wedding campout back in October. They were great then, and I can only imagine they’ve gotten even better since. Their kind staff worked with us on a menu, and went out of their way to organize a delivery of warm tamales right on time, from Knoxville all the way out to the Obed River. Our guests raved and marvelled about how amazing they tasted and how innovative the flavors were. My personal favorites were Thai Chicken and Vegan Soul Food. I haven’t been lucky enough to visit their human-​powered Tamale cart in Knoxville, but I guarantee you won’t find a better tamale, or a nicer person to serve it to you…

I’ve been looking for a good tamale in Knoxville since I arrived. Living in south Florida the last few years I was spoiled. Tried the tamales at the haunted trail event tonight and fell in love! Great taste, texture, and ingredients. So excited to know I can find these at market square whenever I’m craving one. Plus, the choices are very unique. I can’t wait to try them all!

Great food – locally sourced products when possible. The Thai Chicken is fab… the Soul is excellent and the queso & poblano is great! Grab some extra and toss them in the freezer. Reheated the vegan Soul with our homemade chili. Doesn’t get any better on a cold night!

If there aren’t songs written about you, there should be! And they should be tamale love songs!
Seriously, these are top notch. He fills them with some kind of organic magic and local heaven. The sausage and potato is one of my favorites. And you can never go wrong with the Thai chicken! Never disappointing!

These Tamales are amazing, and very friendly staff! So far I’ve had the pulled pork and thai chicken. Highly recommend you won’t be disappointed. Started getting them on Saturday mornings at Market square and now we find them during the week! Love Love Love!

The Thai Chicken tamale is, hands down, one of the tastiest things you’ll ever eat. Just the right amount of heat from the roasted green chilies, tender chicken, Thai basil and coconut all nestled in their delicious non-​gmo masa. Not as big of a fan of their vegetarian and vegan options — they seem to be a little lacking in flavor.
I’ve been meaning to try their seasonal dessert tamale: a sweet raspberry filling, wrapped in masa, served with Cruze Farm ice cream. It sounds AMAZING!

These tamales are delicious. Just perfect. If you can’t find the tamale cart then stop in to aisle nine grocery. They carry several good golly tamale flavors you can take home to heat, yum.

Hadn’t really been a fan of tamales until I tried these. They usually have about four or five different flavors, including a vegetarian and vegan type. Deliciously made with non GMO local ingredients. And at $ 5 for two filling tamales, it is a wonderful deal. Did them on their trike, usually in Market Square on Saturdays and hopefully other places soon enough!
