Ok, full disclosure — this review is not of the food or service, but of the business, and especially Alex. I, too am a small business owner(though not in the food biz), and I am a fan of Unilocal. This is the first time I have seen a business owner respond to Unilocal postings and reviews, both good and bad. I’ve written a few reviews, and will gladly write one of Fulin’s after I’ve had the opportunity to eat there. Great job, Alex for responding and listening to your customers. My wife and I love Asian food, and especially sushi, and will definitely eat there when we have occasion to come to the Town Center area. cheers!

The restraunt had a pleasant clean atmosphere. We were greeted instantly and seved drinks quickly. We ordered bang bang jumbo shrimp. It was served quickly and was delicious(and i dont even like shrimp)! I ordered honey chicken with toasted cashews and broccoli, served with a side of fried rice. It was cooked pefectly and was actually made with real honey not corn syrup! My bf ordered a Knoxville roll and let me tell you it was plated beautifully and for someone who doesn’t eat raw sushi i tried it and was sold! My bf also ordered a spicy noodle dish with chicken and shrimp. Our server Amanda was very polite and sweet. She kept our drinks filled and made me a wonderful appletini, and the best part was my appletini was only 5 dollars! Amanda told us they offer half price sushi on Monday and Wednesday from 4 till close. We drove 45 min to get to Fulin’s and i was not disapointed. This is an excellent restraunt and i will definitely be returning!

I was by myself so I went here for my lunch break. The food took 32 minutes to come out from the time I ordered, and it wasn’t even busy. There were only about 6 other tables at the time. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was very dry and tasteless. I only ate maybe 4 pieces. The spicy mustard sauce was good but that’s it. I won’t go back.

Very glad to have Fulin’s in the neighborhood. The Bang Bang shrimp is a great appetizer. I particularly like the Kung Pao Chicken. The sauce is light and tastes very fresh. Also check out the half-price sushi on Mondays and Wednesdays.

I decided to try one of the Japanese dinners so I chose the Chirashi dinner. It included soup and salad. The miso soup had good flavor and the salad was good. The presentation on the plate was beautiful, fish tasted fresh and they were nice size pieces, really liked the dish and would definitely order it again. Our service was fast and friendly.

My first experience at Fulins leaves me satisfied in belly but disappointed in opinion. My single order of Mongolian Beef was fine, though considering the price, both its quality and quantity was not worth the money paid. The restaurant itself is a very nice place, with clean and appealing décor. I may try again but promise nothing as $ 13.00 for an order of Mongolian Beef seems a steep price for Saturday afternoon Chinese in Knoxville.

New Asian restaurant down the block, nothing new to any area. Naturally we all have to see if they perform well enough to stay, and I’ll say that Fulin’s did just that. The service was excellent, staff smiling and friendly. The food was head and shoulders above your usually Chinese delivery of Moo Goo Gai Pan, and surprisingly the sushi wasn’t bad for an inland Asian restaurant. Well done.

This is my go to for good Chinese food. Everything is so saucy, fresh, and flavorful. The only downside is it a little pricey. I wish I could get Lo Mein with fried rice without paying a la carte for both. But you get what you pay for and it’s definitely worth it. 4 stars because I just can’t jump on the sushi train. The rolls are so small for the price. Nigiri is large and worth it though.

There was no Wifi during my last visit. I was specifically told there was no wifi by the bartender. However, there is now. Once again, good beer section and good food. People should try.

This is our neighborhood sushi/Chinese place. …I am very leery of a sushi place that also does Chinese… I’ve never had the sushi from here for that reason. So I can’t speak to it. Also, I’ve only done take out. so BLUF… 1. They do take out on Christmas!!! Loved that!!! We were pooped from overexposure to travel, family, and the overall stress of the holiday and were not going to cook a Christmas day meal for 2… no reason to ever again! Fulin’s will be our new tradition! 2. The crab rangoon!!! just do it!!! omg! The sauce is not needed for me. It’s so good! 3. Anything that says its ‘spicy’ is like… white people spicy. Its def not Asian spicy. So if you want it spicier, just tell them and they’ll do it. 4. Any of your standard dishes — General Tso’s, Garlic chicken(or beef), Orange chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice — is spot on! Its saucy, there’s lots of REALMEAT in there and its not just breading in sauce, and I think the portion sizes are good. 5. I have found that if something says there are peanuts in it, it is too peanut-y. I can’t do it.

Excellent food and price, and never a wait. Try the crab Rangoon, the General Tso’s chicken, or the tempura rolls. The service has always been outstanding as well. There is a decent draft and wine selection. I think this place is a hidden gem!

I recently ate here with a large group along with my son who is under 2 yrs. They put us in a small room which was fantastic! The service was extremely speedy and staff were all very nice… even when my son made quite the mess! The food was fantastic! I had the rainbow roll and my son devoured his chicken lo mein! We are definitely going back!

The food was awesome! Very fresh and very tasty. Good portion size and average prices. The waiter(Anthony) was perfect. Not too chatty but friendly and attentive. And to top it all off, my fortune cookie gave me a good fortune. :)

I’ve eaten at this restaurant twice. Once for lunch, alone, and again with my wife and nine year old son. I was hesitant to return after the lunch experience was not delicious. I ordered General Tso’s Chicken, and the recipe leaves a lot to be desired. It was too sweet and lacked flavors that make that dish unique. There are several take-out places in town that will charge less and deliver more flavor. So, when my family wanted to try it out for dinner I was hesitant, since I feared I’d be stuck paying dinner prices for underwhelming food. Sadly, I relented and that’s exactly what happened. In addition to bland recipes, the server brought out room temperature entrees. In a friendly way, I asked him to heat them up for us. He brought them back only slightly warmer than before. The server and staff that we encountered seemed not to be trained in the art of serving. It’s not that I demand anything elaborate from a server, but it’s not wrong to hope your server and host(ess) understand polite, professional, orderly, predictable treatment. The server, who did not seem agitated in the least, and was friendly in his own mumbling way, began to bus our table before we paid the check. The restaurant was not busy. He casually recreated the leaning tower of Pisa in dishes before trying to remove all of them with one hand – while mumble-chatting the whole time. A fork slid off into my wife’s lap. It was simply poor training, I’m sure. All in all, it was nowhere near the $ 45(no alcohol) we paid for dinner for two adults and a child. The décor is minimal and attractive, but is incongruous with the menu and service.

Clean, nice atmosphere, good service and great food. Food can be family style or sushi. Hard to find a good Asian restaurant… But this place is pretty good for knoxville!!!

I wish I could review the food but I wasn’t given the chance. Went in there today and stood in front of the hostess stand for ten minutes and no one came to seat us. We went across the street to Uncle Maddios. From first glance the menu looked quite spendy.

We just tried Fulins and I would say it is very good and above average for Chinese food in Knoxville. The menu is actually about half Chinese dishes and half Japanese. We did not try any Japanese on this first trip. I had the chicken & cashew nuts and my wife had the chicken with vegetables. Yes they were both just basic dishes but we both felt they were above average. We could tell that the ingredients were fresh. I also had an egg roll and I would say it was about average — nothing wrong with it just nothing special. We were told by the waiter that the dishes have no MSG. The service was very good also. Four stars is very good by the way I rate so we will definitely be back. The only negatives are that it is a bit pricey($ 12 each for our dishes) and the entrees come only with rice — egg roll or soup is extra. But the food was good enough to consider this a minor issue.

Recently, Fulin’s Asian Cuisine opened in the Town Center shopping center off of Northshore Drive in Knoxville. When I first saw the name, it was confusing because Fulin’s is not an Asian name, then I realized that it was a chain with soon-to-be ten stores in Tennessee and Alabama. I had lunch on a Saturday, so was disappointed that their«lunch menu» is only available Monday-Friday. As such, instead of an $ 8-$ 10 offering, I paid $ 19 for their Seafood Combo, described as «Lobster, crab meat, jumbo shrimp and sea scallops sauteed with the chef’s select vegetables in a light sauce.» I was more in the mood for a spicer sauce and so they accommodated my request with no problem. The food arrived quickly and it was obvious that it was fresh. An entire 4 oz. lobster tail, cut in half, graced the top of a bowl made of chow mein noodles. How cool is that? A chow mein noodle bowl that you can eat if you’d like. An ampble serving of prawns and scallops were blended well into the freshly sauteed vegetables and cashews. I can’t say for certain, but I don’t know if the crab was real or not, but it was good nonetheless. Unlike many Asian restaurants that put the check on the table before you’ve even taken a bite, my server was gracious and non-rushing, serving me a second Diet Coke and asking if I would like dessert before even thinking about giving me the check. That was a nice touch. They currently only have a beer license, however the server to whom I spoke said their liquor license application has been accepted and they should have a full bar(including various sakes) by the end of next week. There is booth seating, table seating and bar seating. They have a dedicated sushi chef, offer full catering and are open most evenings until 9:00 pm, If you have a party of 8 or more, an automatic 18% gratuity is added to the check. In a booth across from my table, a young family with two little girls had their meal. In the end, there was more rice on the floor and booth seats than was consumed. They apologized to the server and the server graciously told them not to worry about it and encouraged them to return. Even after the family left, I heard no negative comments about the big mess that had been made … now that’s customer service!
