The staff at this hotel was very friendly and responsive, I would rate the staff above average. The reason I have to rate this hotel below average is because the owners have not invested in refurbing rooms in this hotel but they still charge premium rates. The beds are sooo bad that my back is still hurting.

This Marriott has the LAZIEST housekeeping ever!!! First night No shampoo. Second night, still no shampoo. Then I call the front desk and got someone to run it up. Third night, now I don’t have a towel rug. Fourth night, again no replacement of SHAMPOO!!! Fifth night, didn’t clean a tissue I purposely left on the ground(it wasn’t used). Last night(meaning today morning)…again, NOSHAMPOO!!! The front desk and food service people are nice and professional but the HOUSEKEEPINGSUCKS!!! They get a star only for the front desk and Restaraunt

Loved this hotel. I’ve stayed in Knoxville several times and I am a Marriott person so I’ve always gone with the full service Marriott near downtown before. Uh… Big mistake… Huge! I’ve always hated my experience at that dated property. I won’t review it here but it has always been terrible. So, I decided to stay at this one because it was right near I-40 with easy access to downtown/campus and seemed to be in a better part of Knoxville. I loved it. The hotel is new. The room was very nice. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The area surrounding the hotel included a number of options for dinner that ranged from Five Guys to a BBQ place and a restaurant called Bistro on the Tracks which my friend described as one of the best in Knoxville. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Knoxville. Excellent.

One of the best Marriott experiences I’ve had. Clean and perfume-free!!! If there’s a theme in my hotel reviews, it often has to do with my allergy to fragrances and perfumes.(My husband is similarly afflicted.) I’ve switched my allegiance from the chains that have gotten into«branding» themselves with scents(which«branded» them completely off my radar and rendered long-time loyalty programs pretty much worthless.) I was delighted to discover that the Marriott chains are(for the most part) very sensitive to people with allergies and understand that simply not spraying a room for the day of my visit is not unlike the old days when desk clerks tried to push smoking rooms by assuring us that«nobody has smoked in there for at least 24 hours.» In other words, not good enough. OK, so back to this hotel. First of all, it’s a new property. So much so that the TV and remote had to be set up for us.(Were we the first people to stay in that room? How cool is that? And while we normally never turn on the TV in hotels, this was during World Cup season…) In any event, every single person I dealt with at this hotel was incredibly responsive and supportive– again, a nice break from the blank stares or dismissive comments when I’ve requested a scent-free room. These guys GOT it. In fact, we were told that the desk staff has been advised to not wear perfume or cologne. WOW! The place is immaculate, the room was comfortable and really nicely appointed. Very new(yet somehow without the«new construction» smells that you might expect). I was just so impressed, even touched, by the sensitivity of the staff to our request that I have completely switched my hotel brand-of-choice to Marriotts and except where not available, have stayed in Marriott properties every night of this 4-week trip. I have had good experiences at most– there were a few that used some kind of spray on the carpets in the hall, which seemed weird– but this property by far tops the list of every place we’ve stayed during our past month on the road.
