Captain D’s

Anytime I get a craving for seafood, this is where I like to come. The prices are good and the amount of food makes it worth the trip. My moms favorite is the butterfly shrimp meal, where I like to get the clam strip meal. Their cole slaw is good and fries also, Im not a hush puppy fan, but my mom is always happy to take them from me.

Sometimes, you’re just craving some quick, inexpensive, fried seafood, and this is usually my first choice when that craving hits. They serve decent, fast food-​isn seafood. I don’t think I’ve ever been overly impressed by this Captain D’s, but they’ve certainly never disappointed me either. It certainly isn’t the highest quality seafood meal you’re ever going to eat, but I don’t think anybody goes to Captain D’s looking for that. The food is (almost always) cooked correctly, they’re more than willing to customize orders (fish cooked country style instead of battered, breadstick instead of hushpuppies, etc), and have a pretty good selection of the types of foods you would expect at this type of restaurant. My family has gone to this location for years, and practically all of the employees we have encountered have been friendly & polite (I certainly don’t recall any especially negative experiences).
