It is a food truck and my favorite spot to eat in Kihei. The Mahi Mahi fish tacos are amazing. Of course, it is also a cheap dining option. If you are planning a trip to Maui and looking for recommendations, please see

Fish tacos were okay but shrimp tacos were delicious. We had lunch there and barely had to wait. Come at an off peak time if you can, we drove by later in the day and saw a huge line for dinner.

Very good basic fish tacos. The tacos are on flour tortillas so probably appeal to a larger group of people. We’ve visited this taco truck many, many times and it is consistently very good. Skip the caesar salad though. It’s similar to bagged supermarket Caesar salad but double the dressing.

I wasn’t impressed with the food. I got the shrimp plate and it was not worth the price. I paid 14 bucks and honestly the shrimp sucked. I wife got some tacos and they were pretty good.

These tacos are amazing, and you can’t beat the price. We eat here at least once a week– they are that good!

I am 100% mexican 4 generation American. I say that to let you know my palette is not just set on spanish food, but I do know mexican very well. My wife and I look for hole in the wall places it what we do on our days off together. A friend of mine recommend Horhitos to me and of course we went to check it out. The Mahi Mahi tacos were served on flower tortillas. We had the extra that came with a mango Pico de gallo type. We were NOT impressed with the food or the portion. The taste was bland, the portion was average. So many better places to go we probably won’t be returning.

Good Mexican food for a good price! The foods wasn’t anything that I would rave about but the price was. We fed four for under $ 35 which is hard to do in Hawaii(unless you’re going to Taco Bell). The fish tacos were the best thing we ordered. The quesadilla was too cheesy and in turn, a bit too greasy. But it was definitely good food and the portions were good as well. We appreciated that they were open when some of the other Mexican joints in town were closed for the day. If you’re wanting a good lunch at a good price, this is a great place(take it across the street to the park or to the beach). If you’re wanting a nice sit down dinner with plenty of good, clean seating you might want to try something else — it is a food truck.

They don’t have burritos and/or chimichangas, & now if you want add ons or would like substitute corn for flour is a dollar extra Or things like that! For me is the worst Mexican food in the island.

I’ve been hearing about the«amazing» tacos from Horhitos for months now from several of my friends that frequent the Kihei food truck. I’m not sure if it was because of the hype they built up, but I was not impressed. I’ve had better tacos elsewhere. I ordered a shrimp taco and mahi mahi taco. There was nothing special about the shrimp. It would’ve been nice if the shrimp was marinated or had a tasty sauce to go along with it. Even the mahi was just sitting there in the taco. Definitely top your tacos with the salsa they provide because that at least gave a little more flavor. Don’t get me wrong, the tacos weren’t terrible, just not something I would rave about. I felt like I could’ve made similar tacos out of my own kitchen.

Had the Mahi Mahi special tacos, a shrimp taco, and the mac. The fish was a little dry, the shrimp taco didn’t have enough spice, both of which lacked flavor. The mac wasn’t good, too much sauce and the sauce wasnt good. The pasta was also overcooked and mush so there wasnt really any texture to it. The salsa was pretty meh. It could’ve accentuated the tacos and cover for what was lacking but didn’t for the flavor of it. Too much vinegar, and not enough substance. Overall, not worth the wait and definitely not worth the hype. Perhaps i came by on an off night, who knows.

Coming from Los Angeles, I have a high standard for tacos… And this place ROCKS! GREAT, tasty, quality tortillas. And the stuff inside… all YUM! Pork taco tasted like awesome smoked pulled pork — not the watery tasteless pork so commonly found. The Mahi Special is a fantastic mix of fish, fresh cabbage, and flavorful mango salsa. I had several more kinds, every one was a winner. Back home with all the taco truck competition they would have, this place would still stand out. I *highly* recommend you hit this up for an inexpensive and tasty lunch! Only bummer is that the lemonade tasted watered down. But hey — you didn’t come for the lemonade so don’t sweat it.

ONLY get the seafood taco’s. the fish and shrimp taco’s were«good» not as great as other places like coconuts or eskimo’s but great for the price. HOWEVER, they suck with land animals! the pork and steak were horrible. These chefs have Extraordinary Mutant skill in making cow taste as bland as heck. The pork was only slightly better. The special for that day was a salse verde, really good actually, but SKIP the meats.

Delicious tacos, a must hit food truck in this area. Plus a meal this great and cheap is almost impossible to find anywhere else around here. Bring cash. It’s CASH only. I love the pork tacos. They are shredded, flavorful, and juicy. They are served with some fresh pico on top. The Al Pastor tacos are pretty tasty too. But I like the regular pork better. Don’t worry if there a bit of a line. Their service is fast. If they don’t have their tables out, you can walk across the street to the Open air market. They have several tables. The truck has some plate meals too so if you don’t want tacos there are other options. But honestly the tacos are so tasty I haven’t tried to other stuff. They have canned soda and water for $ 1. You can bring your own drinks if you have them. I’m not sure about BYOB since they don’t have an actual building and I don’t know if you can drink at the market. I’d ask first or take it to go if you want booze. If you are in Kihei or even driving thru. Stop and grub. You’ll be glad you did. Show some aloha too with a tip when you get your order.

We have passed this truck many times on our trips to Maui but had not given it much thought. This year our Activities Coordinator at our hotel mentioned this truck and how great(and inexpensive) this truck is. We love our tacos so we were in for this adventure! We were not disappointed either. The tacos ranged from $ 2 – 4 with some other more expensive(and bigger) items on the menu like wraps and quesadillas ranging from $ 6 – 9. We stopped by a few times this trip and tried the fish, shrimp, al pastor, and pulled pork tacos. The fish tacos come on flour tortillas but they will substitute for corn tortillas if that is your preference or for allergy reasons of course. The meat tacos come on the corn tacos. We also tried their homemade lemonade and it was quite refreshing and good! This food truck is well worth a try so look for the 76 gas station and they should be parked close by there!
