Really nothing in comparison to Ululani’s. The flavors didn’t taste that accurate (got the passion fruit, lychee, and piña colada) and the ice melted really quickly. The hapaccino was really tasty though!

Just happened by and got one ‘Monkey Milk’ shaved ice, (pineapple, coconut and banana with vanilla ice cream) and one cherry/​lime/​watermelon shaved ice and WOW… perfect execution of the ice, delicate slivers that melt in your mouth and the flavors were distinct and delicious. The guy who made our ices was friendly and talked with us for awhile (sorry I forgot his name, I’m terrible with names!) There’s a courtyard with tables and some small shops all around. The souvenir shop is reasonably priced as well, lots of shirts and cute sarongs. We will have to stop by each day we are here!

Came here because we were in the area and they had a BOGO ½ off special if you checked in on Unilocal.She made ours kind of messy so it was hard to eat at first since it was dripping everywhere. They give nice big portions and the flavors are good but the ice here isn’t as soft and flaky as I would have liked. I ordered mine with ice cream and was happy to find a nice amount waiting for me at the bottom. Decent shave ice place.

The root beer float was absolutely yummy. Vanilla ice cream on the bottom, blended perfectly with her homemade rootbeer syrup. Nice location too, right near the beach!

Went here for a shave ice due to Unilocal reviews and proximity to our location. Glad we did! The syrups are homemade and very tasty. The portions are very generous. Would definitely recommend based upon service, quality and friendliness.

Tasty shaved ice… all homemade syrups. We had coconut/​lychee/​pineapple and root beer/​blue vanilla shaved ice. Both delicious! Owner also very friendly and made great recommendations!

Artificial, over-​sweetened flavors, on a not so clean stand. Left a tip. When we set at the table, we noticed it was very sticky. I asked the lady if it’s possible to clean it, she said THERE ISN’T MUCH SHE CAN DO ABOUT IT. There are two small tables right in front of the booth, there are no other food places nearby. Only her customers use these tables. And she can’t do much about it. She gave me a wet cloth, with a strong bleach smell, and I cleaned the tables.

We had the iced Americano and Hapaccino. Their beans are roasted in Hawaii which makes them special… So good! The Hapaccino had a double shot so it was amazing, not watered down or overly-​creamy/​icy at all. The Hapaccino was probably one of the best blended coffee drinks I’ve ever had.

Wow! Who knew shaved ice could deserve so many reviews?! We went here on a day like any other on Maui (sunny) and it was not only refreshing but delicious too! This is a fairly new vendor in this area but don’t let that fool you. The owner takes pride in her work, the syrups are homemade AND– she has her coffee specially roasted using a family secret blend recipe! Our experience was great from the start, we ordered our shaved ice with three different flavors and sweet cream– divine treat! We were even given a little holder to eat our shaved ice hands free. It gets better too– she’s located right across from the beach and in the middle of a little market. The market had some nice little trinkets and the beach had a lot to watch.
I really enjoyed my experience here and the price was fabulous, I would like to revisit whenever I can!

In attempt to find local boys shaved ice we were directed to this place and thought we would give it a try. While waiting in line we were hit up to attend a time share seminar. Hard pass no thank you. After waiting 15 mins for the 3 people in front of us we tried the paradise mix. The presentation was very lumpy, not round at all like and the syrup was nothing more than watered down POG. It melted within 5 mins and we threw most of it away.
Big difference from Ululani’s which was absolutely amazing. Drive on and have the best at Ululani’s

We were in Maui and figured we needed to have shave ice before we head over to Oahu. I jumped on Unilocal and saw that this establishment had 4 stars and offered a BOGO ½ off, so I immediately drove the kids over.
After looking at the menu I decided to choose from the section of pre selected combinations which contained 3 flavors, I got the mango, guava & coconut, and one of my daughters picked the rootbeer float, I have to mention both were perfect and the lady who assisted us advised she makes the flavors herself, and she was very nice and not only helpful but very friendly. I would come back here and also recommend this spot to anyone in Maui wanting shave ice.

Love love love this place! The owner makes her own syrup and the coconut ice cream is to die for! The service can be a little slow when the owner isn’t there, but when the owner is running the shop, she’s so friendly and makes the entire experience wonderful.
I’ve had their fruit smoothies which were phenomenal.
However my favorite is the shaved ice Pina Colada, Passion Fruit, Guava with coconut ice cream on the bottom. (Just thinking about it makes my mouth water!)
My boyfriend got the lychee with macadamia nut ice cream on the bottom and it was excellent.
Overall, make sure to check this place out while you’re hear in Maui!

Best shaved ice on Maui! Had another favorite spot but when we found it closed for the day we saw this shack & decided to give it a go. Most shaved ice places serve «snow cone» ice pellets & call it shaved ice! This was the real deal, melt in your mouth shaved ice. Owner was so nice & we had a good chat… try it, you won’t be disappointed.

The Maui Sunset was fantastic! Light and fluffy unlike some shave ice that is more granular. There is a cute sparkle table and chairs with a view of the park, palm trees and beach across the street! Defiantly will be back again!

We stumbled upon this place on accident. We were driving around Kihei trying to find a beach to surf at but I think the conditions weren’t that great. Lo and behold, we saw this shaved ice place across from the beach parking lot. We walked over and just ordered a shaved ice. We had no idea that it was going to be this good! I don’t remember which flavors we chose but they say they use real cane sugar, all natural, etc. The ice was fluffy and it hit the spot. It made me a fan of hawaiian shaved ice again.

Great, classic Hawaiian shave ice booth in a funny market space along with other booths that sell touristy tchotchkes. There are tables and chairs among the booths, so you can sit and enjoy your ice right there.
Flavors are tasty and variety is good without being overwhelming. Portions are big. Service is very nice.
In case you’re wondering, the «tiger’s blood» flavor is a strawberry, watermelon, and coconut combination. It’s pretty good!

After trying several other shave ice, I reaffirm, this place is the undisputed champion. The ice is so fine it’s almost creamy. Other places have thick chunks, and should really be called snowcones.
