Hangar 11 Bar & Grill

I came on a Tuesday, Karaōke night. They had app specials of Mozz sticks, «hangar» pizza, and chicken fingers. I ordered the pizza and the chicken fingers. I asked the bartender what’s the hanger pizza? And her exact words were «it’s a super thin crust pizza with cheese». Thin crust pizza I like. When my food came back my pizza was a flat tortilla bread with sauce and some poorly sprinkled cheese. Seriously, it was a tortilla. I flipped two pieces together and it was exactly how it supposed to look if I ordered a quesadilla… My chicken fingers order was 3 pieces!.. What makes it worst was 1 piece was a normal looking finger and the other two were the same size and length if I put my thumb and pinky side by side. I could literally fit the whole thing in my mouth like a double tater tot. Then loaded it with so much fries! Yea, if they’re going to sell U a special, at least tell you the sizes change. Or I hope they don’t serve that regular or special.

I have been frequenting this spot for a while with my coworkers and friends. They have good drinks and good bar food. We even order take out for lunch. You can’t go wrong with their sandwiches, wraps and sweet potato fries (yum!!!). The service is good and it’s a great spot to relax and unwind after work.

Nice ambience however, there table service was lacking. Our waitress wasted our pitcher of beer by incorrectly pouring it, into our glasses. The guacamole and chips was quite tasty but the pico de gallo was a tad bit too sweet.

Would have been nice to know that the $ 2 taco special didn’t start until 7pm before I ordered tacos. Said nothing about a time on the bar ad. Instead of spending $ 4 on what I am assuming was 2 tacos, I spent $ 19 on two plates of tacos. Who orders 2 plates of tacos? Would probably be something any decent bartender would point out on «taco night.» Won’t be coming back here…

Went here a couple of times and wasn’t thrilled. For a nice local outing to watch some games, it is great. However, this wouldn’t be my top choice if I’m going for a meal. There are tv’s everywhere and they cover many different games. I would stick to basic drinks or just beer. My bf and I thought the drinks were a bit watered down, just so you know. We’ve ordered the shrimp mini mofongo cups and they were pretty good. However, we ordered burgers and they were just ok, nothing spectacular. For sporting events, the atmosphere is great and I would def go there if I’m in the mood to watch a game and have some beers, this is perfect for just that.

Bottom line: I had a Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA at Dani’s House of Pizza (very good pizza btw) and it cost $ 4. The same beer at this place was $ 8. Loud. Food is awful. Prices? Ridiculous. Won’t be coming here ever again.

Beers are good and the folks are friendly and attentive. However, cocktails are weak in terms of the amount of alcohol in them; a bit watered down. I asked to make my cocktail stronger and it came back hardly unnoticeable. Nonetheless it’s a decent spot for beers and sports tv watching. The food I have no idea on as I’ve never ordered.
Bar Game: Strong enough to pass go, collect $ 200.

Wasnt expecting much walking in. But they have a great selection on beers and alit of tvs. Perfect place to watch some sunday night football. Would come back in a heartbeat

Chill local hangout. Business wrap is by far my fav! They do brunch (includes 2 drinks) on Sunday’s & have outdoor seating. Fries are extra crispy & delicious! Good range of music

Best spot in Kew Gardens to take in a sports game, including Austin’s. They have more TVs than anyone this side of Buffalo Wild Wings in Forest Hills, and the bartenders are willing to change the channel up on a TV or two for you without any hassle. Great for those of us who are NYC transplants and aren’t always looking to watch the NY teams in action.
The draft selection is solid, as is the food. They aren’t going to blow you away with gastro pub quality eats, but it’s good, above-​average bar food.
The thing that makes Hangar 11 is the staff. Attentive bartenders, even when they’re crowded (which really only applies to the most peak times), which really makes for a solid sports bar. Everything here is really good, but not extraordinary, and they sometimes try to be more of a night club which doesn’t seem to fit, but since they completed their remodeling, this is a complete bar experience.

Good food and draft beers. Reasonably priced. I had a good time. Friendly staff and a good selection of drafts. Great place to wind down.

I’ve been to this bar multiple times. The attentiveness of the staff is top notch. I specifically asked the guy for his name so I could Unilocal about him and his team’s awesome service. His name is Arthur. If you like Margaritas, they make ‘em great here. I always get mine in double size (in a pint glass) cuz I’m a double-​size kinda guy. I went here for St. Patrick’s Night and it was a killer time! It’s a great place!

Fight night, they advertise weeks leading up to the fight that they will be showing it in the bar, free of charge…
7:15pm, no cover charge, 7:45pm, $ 30 cover charge! SERIOUSLY!!! And yes, they admit that they just decided to charge a cover… wow!
No thanks Hanger! Going to the better neighborhood bar, Austin Ale House… no cover charge!

I was introduced to this place by my boyfriend. It’s his local neighborhood bar with an aviation theme. Majority of the people that tend flock to this bar apparently are employees of various airlines. If you drive to this location, it’s easy to spot but very difficult to find parking. Looking for parking around there may not be worth it.
The atmosphere is made for comfort and relaxing. However, the loud music tends to turn that aspect off. Sometimes I can’t hear myself think let alone speak to the person next to me. That’s basically the only negative thing about the bar. Now the service is good. Bartenders are friendly and easy going. They have ample space all around the bar and seating are near the DJ booth. The bartenders provide you with quick service regardless where you are seating.
They have bar food. I am not a big fan of bar food. However, the fries at Hanger exceptional. I am not a fan of their chicken wings (they are just like any other chicken wings). They have draft beers, few selected wines and specialty cocktails. I can’t speak for their specialty cocktails but every other drink is fine.

Weird drink specials, and their house drink is a margaritas, which doesn’t seem to fit the atmosphere. The music was really off-​putting when I was there; some local DJ playing Spanish music that was terribly mixed in terms of equalizer settings. Our ears were hurting by the time we left. Would give it a try again in the music isn’t horrid. Other than that, great staff and service.

I love, love, loves the chicken nachoes! Love the atmoasphere, especially being in the aviation industry and get to mingle with fellow aviators!

Awful place. Terrible management. Don’t be fooled by their Super Bowl offer… they very unapologetically failed to put food out last year during halftime after charging $ 50 for watered down drinks, slow service and no buffet. The manager’s response to complaints, «so leave.» So unprofessional. I’m surprised this dump is still open.

Hangar is a decent size bar with ample amount of space to sit at the bar or around it. They also have outdoor seating which is pretty cool. It gives the place a restaurant-​esque type of feel. Plenty of tvs & top shelf liquor to have a good old time. They also serve food which I did not partake of but surely will next time.
The Long Islands we had were perfection in a glass. Just the right balance of all the liquors combined made it a delight to drink. Two Long Islands later I was feeling giggly & tipsy. Another drink would have sent me over the edge. No parachute or anything… NADA!
I love bars that have jukeboxes. To be in control of what you want to hear as you toss back drinks is an awesome feeling. The music they had playing last night was so good. It was reggae (old & new). I couldn’t help but sway my hips, tap my feet & nod my head.

much better bar from what used to be here in this space. Upgraded in every way.

Huge airy space. Lots of tables yet not cluttered like other bars. Flat screens tune into every game on. Theres a DJ on weekends. A jukebox where you hear your jam in a second. Friendly staff, fast service. This place is gonna be here for a while!
Large enough for groups. Love the outside patio and ladies night on Weds. The theme is vintage Pan-​AM in a hangar but the vibe is modern, hip and sexy. Ill be back!
